The famous players from Wrigley Field in their prime times were Pete Alexander (1918-1926) and Mordecai Brown (1904-1912). They were the greatest players in their prime time and also they made it to Hall of Fame.

Wrigley Field the venerable, longtime home to the Chicago Cubs is now a century old. It's going to be their 100th year anniversary since the founding of Wrigley Field. Here are some 100 year (2016) anniversary facts about Wrigley Field. The first game ever played in the historic venue took place on April 23, 1914. What makes Wrigley Field unique is what makes it great. There's the inning-by-inning manual old school scoreboard in the center field.

Now they serve delicious food. Some of them are Garlic Parmesan French Fries, nachos in a Cubs hat, Vienna Beef Hotdogs, giant hot pretzel and Giordano’s pizza. It carries Pepsi products. We took a survey of people from Soaring Eagle & nachos in a Cubs hat won.

I think it's pretty awesome to know that old scoring board is still there. I think the hot dog stands were the best food place they ever had in Wrigley Field. Drink Pepsi while you watch the game. So everyone please wish Wrigley Field a happy 100th birthday.

Catch  The  Early  History  Of  Wrigley  Field  By  High  School  Student  B            In 1914, a baseball park known as Weeghman Park was built. The first team that started playing there was the Chicago Whales. They played at the field until 1920 when the Cubs started to play there. The field is located on the north side of Chicago in Wrigleyville. When the Cubs started to play, they changed its name to Cubs Park from 1920 - 1926. In 1926 the name was changed to Wrigley Field.

Undertale – PC Game Review

Have you have played a video game and said to yourself, “What would happen if this character didn't exist? What would the game be like then?” Well, Undertale is here to answer that question with innovative gameplay, characters filled to the brim with personality, and moments that will make you laugh, cry, and experience pure terror. Let's take a look at this “friendly RPG where nobody has to die.” Plot Upon starting the game we get a bit of back story. We learn that long ago, humans and monsters used to rule the Earth. Then one day, a war breaks between the two races. After a long battle, the humans reign supreme and banish all the monsters to what is called the Underground and use magic to seal them within it. We then fast forward to present day where we find our protagonist accidentally falling down a hole which, coincidentally, is one-way ticket to the Underground. Your mission is to exit the monster filled Underground and return to the surface, but how you do so is up to you. Gameplay Undertale is an “eastern style” RPG (Role Playing Game) meaning that the battles are turn based. The player will take their turn, then the monster, and so on and so forth. But unlike most RPGs where press an attack button until you win, in this game you must either choose “FIGHT” where you must time your attacks to deal more damage, or you can “ACT” to try and get the monster to be less hostile. After that, you can give them “MERCY” and spare them. This can be done for every enemy in the game. Whether you kill them or spare them is entirely up to the player. But what makes the battles so special is that you use a little red heart called your “SOUL.” The enemy will throw projectiles and you must move around your SOUL and dodge their attacks.  f you hit one of said projectiles, only then will your character take damage. This makes it possible to get through a long battle without taking any damage. This also adds an element of action as well as a greater sense of danger to the game making battles overall more fun and less of a chore.

Arts  &  Entertainment  Best  Flicks  on  Netflix

By High School Student E Lorenzo Review

2nd short film of the “Disney Short Film Collection” Lorenzo is a short film I found on Netflix. It is about a blue greedy cat named Lorenzo who lives in an urban area. One day a strange, mysterious cat appears who is causing trouble all over the neighborhood. Lorenzo tries his best to stop this menace. What I liked about this movie, is that it's a short film. I also liked the animation, which really fits the movie. I enjoyed looking the artwork that was shown throughout the movie. What I didn't like about this film, is that I’m used to the main character being someone that is nice and sweet, but in this film Lorenzo is not very nice to everyone and acts very greedy. I would recommend this film to children of all ages and their families.

The game when outside of battle – Image credit: “tr1ppa”

Story This is where things get a bit more complicated. I'm going to do my best to explain the story without spoiling any major plot points, so forgive me if this is a bit hard to follow. In Undertale, there are three different “routes.” Depending on which route you take the story changes. The route you take is completely decided by who you kill and spare. Each route has their own ending and boss fights. Let's talk about these three routes in more detail. 1. Neutral Route: The Neutral Route is where you kill or spare whoever you please. Depending on which specific

characters you kill or spare effect the ending slightly. If I refer to a part of the game's story, It'll be this route. 2. True Pacifist Route: The True Pacifist Route is taken when you spare every monster you encounter in the entire

game, which can be quite challenging. This will give you the “true” and best ending to the game. However, even if you meet all the requirements, you still won't get the true ending unless finish the Neutral Route before you can complete the True Pacifist route.

3. Genocide Route: The Genocide Route is taken when you kill every, and I mean EVERY, single monster in the

entire game. This route is very hard and takes you on a big guilt trip. However, for some it may be worth it for a few new bosses and a new ending. I recommend you do avoid taking this route unless you really think you can take the heat.

With that being said, the general story is simple and fun; you must try to return to the surface. What happens along the way is what makes it so great, though. As you progress through the game, more of the story starts to slowly unravel. I'd love to tell you more, but I don't want to spoil anything either. If you play the game, you'll understand why it's story is so great. Character & Humor One of Undertale's strongest points is it's character and humor, and nothing has more character than the characters themselves! Each character is unique and each one has a different personality. We have a skeleton that tells bad puns, a killer robotic TV idol, a talking flower, and a bunch more. You really feel a connection with characters because they really do feel unique. Of course, there are many funny moments and some of them actually made me laugh. I won't spoil the joke's because they're funnier when you don't see them coming, but here's a few random quotes. Graphics & Sound Undertale uses retro style graphics and pulls it off quite well. You might thinking, “Pixelated graphics? Won't that look dated and gross?” Well, thanks to modern technology we no longer have the technological limitations that many old video game systems have, meaning they have an unlimited color palette and more layers, making the graphics both nostalgic and modern at the same time and it looks fantastic. The character designs are also fantastic and really brings the characters to life. As for the music, it speaks for itself. Of course, you'll have to hear for yourself, but just picture classic video game music crossed with orchestral, rock, and a hint of jazz. To say the least, it's amazing. The music always compliments the game flawlessly and gives off the correct emotions. If you're interested, look up “Undertale Soundtrack” on YouTube. You will not be disappointed. My Opinions If it wasn't blatantly obvious before, I love this game. It's one of the best games I've played in a long time. I can't even have a single complaint with the game! The gameplay is fun, the characters are lovable, the soundtrack is amazing, the jokes are actually funny, there's great replay value due to the routes, the game is difficult but fair, and it was one of very few games to make me actually feel emotion. This game runs at a price of $10.00. In my opinion, this is an EXTREMELY good price for a game of this caliber. I've put over 44 hours of play time into this game and I've loved each minute of it. No matter how much time you put into this game, I'm sure you'll love it too.

US Democracy: Less Democratic than we Think?

The United States is a democratic nation. We all take pride in this fact, but we fail to realize what a corrupt system it is. We believe that all people can vote, when in reality, a surprising number of us can’t. We believe that each vote is worth the same, but some votes are worth more than others. Elections can be rigged so the winner is pre-chosen and in the end, we don’t even vote for our President. Overall, elections are plagued with issues that we need to know about. Otherwise, the president we want, we need, will never be elected.

We vote for the President every 4 years. We go to the polling place (wherever that may be), we write down our votes on slips of paper and we think we are choosing the next leader of our country. In cold reality however, we aren’t. The electoral college prevents us from voting for President directly. The reason for this is because the founding fathers didn’t trust the common folk with choosing the President, so they instead had the people vote for electors, who in turn vote for President. The only problem with this is that in 24 states, it is legal for electors can choose whoever they want and this has happened at least 80 times. In fact, in 2004, an elector voted for “John Ewards”, which was similar to John Edwards, who was running for Vice President. The elector not only elected him for President and Vice President, but he failed to spell his name correctly. The electoral college may have been useful back in the day, but now, we as a people are better informed. We don’t need it anymore, and because of this, it has skewed voting in the nation for many, many years.

All humans are created equal, but some votes count more than others. Depending on what state you live in, you vote can count more or less than someone from another state. Let’s say person A lives in California and person B lives in Wyoming. Based on population, Person B’s vote is worth 3 of person A’s votes. To put this in perspective, Wyoming has 3 times more power in elections than California, even though there are 275,864 more voters in California. Politicians can use this to their advantage and go after the votes in only a few states, so that other voices and issues are drowned out. This is an unfair system and should have died a long time ago, but it still ruins elections to this day.

Another issue in this country is gerrymandering. It happens when the district lines are redrawn every 10 years. The problem is that politicians can redraw the lines, therefore keeping one party in power. Let’s say that 40% of a state is for the yellow party and 60% is for the purple party. If the districts are drawn evenly, everything is fine. Gerrymandering is when the lines are redrawn unevenly, and because of this, even if there are more votes for the purple party, the yellow party can still win the district election. Gerrymandering is a way of rigging elections before they even begin, and it’s completely legal. Because of this, even if the purple party has more votes, the yellow party can win years in advance.

American citizens have the right to vote for president, so it is disgusting how many people can’t vote. Back when the country was formed, only 6% of the entire population could vote. 70 years later, the vote would eventually be extended to all white men, but that was still a completely unfair system. Later still, all black men would be allowed to vote, but there were some problems with this. And pulling up the rear, women would finally get the right to vote. All seemed well and good, but the black population wasn’t out of the woods yet. A lot of politicians didn’t want the black population to vote, so several Jim Crow laws were put into place. These laws would turn misdemeanors committed by black men into felonies, barring them from voting for life. Very few of these laws have been repealed and are to this day stopping many people from voting.

The United States may be a democratic nation, but the elections are anything but democratic. A large percent of the population is unable to vote, and even if they did, their

vote would not make a difference to the outcome of the election. However, despite how bad our

election system is, it is important that we keep voting. It may be bad, but it was a lot worse back when very few people could vote. Sure the electoral college is out of date, gerrymandering is legal and some votes count more than others, but the voting system is getting better. It keeps improving because all citizens have the right to vote, so voting is being extended to more and more of the population. One way we can make sure more people vote is to make election day a national holiday, so people don’t have to take off work. We can make a difference in this country, and eventually, our votes will make a better, brighter future for the whole population. 4. Cowan, Sarah K., Stephen Doyle, and Drew Heffron.
