Director’s NotesWith the change of seasons comes change both physically and mentally. Such

is the case for the little town of Gilead when on one cold February evening, amysterious stranger enters their midst. This is that story. A story of change, astory of hope, a story of love.I would like to thank an amazing cast and crew for taking this journey with me.

BRAVO to you all! A very special thanks to my musical director, Brian Murphy, for highlighting the heart and soul of all the musicals we have done together.Nobody does it better. And to set and lighting designer Sherman Wayne for bring-ing the style and locations into crystal clear focus. A true artist. Thanks also to myproducers Shirley Churgin and Sylvia Grieb, the best a director could hope for.Your trust and faith mean everything to me. And to my wife Kate for putting upwith my late nights and early hours while putting the town of Gilead on theTheatre Palisades map and for her invaluable contribution to the audition process. Now, dear audience, the lights dim and our journey begins. Experience The

Spitfire Grill. It is our hope that through our story, in spite of the hectic times welive in today, each one of you will find your own personal “colors of paradise.”
