Cast Biographies

Troy Blendell (Frasz) is privileged to be back on the NOTE stage and working with such a talented writer/director, cast, crew, and producer. Other NOTE appearances include Do Not Disturb, Shake, Copy and Titus Andronicus. He has also recently been seen in Fugue at the Echo (where he is also a company member), and The

Christmas Present at Sacred Fools. Recent TV/film: Bosch, Masters Of Sex, Stalker, Modern Family, Now We Know, Game Shakers, The Escort.

Tony DeCarlo (Phraz) – Previous performances include: ICU at Circle X; Eat The Runt, Sheet Cake Sliding, The Invisible Play (understudy), Disassembly, Do Not Disturb, and the Young Writers Project at NOTE; Fast and Loose at Sacred Fools; The Car Plays at the La Jolla Playhouse and at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Other work: writing,

spoken word, standup, improv and film/TV appearances, most recently Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening. Much appreciate your support of 99-seat theatre and thanks to all Phrazzled’ers. www.tonydecarlo.com

Gina Garcia-Sharp (Whisk) has been performing for over 30 years. Some of her favorite shows she’s done at NOTE are Hot Cat, The Invisible Play, Figure 8, They’re Just Like Us, and co-hosting the Annual Hollywood Performance Marathon. She also does things on the TV sometimes, including a recurring role on Criminal Minds and a bit on

Modern Family. Her husband, Kevin, and five-year-old, Walker, are her favorite people in the whole, wide world.

Keith Hanson (Barney) is delighted to be making his debut with Theatre of NOTE. He received a BFA in acting from the University of Rhode Island and is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program. Primarily a sketch writer and improviser, Keith worked as a standup for a number of years both in New York City and across the

country before taking a hiatus from performing to improve his credit score and raise a (currently six-year-old) upstanding member of society. Keith credits his fiancée for introducing him to his new artistic family and reigniting his passion to make art with his friends.

Other notable films: Tiger Orange, Takers, The Roommate, and Hollywood Homicide. Notable TV: Scorpion (CBS), Gang Related (FOX), Castle (ABC), and

The Forgotten (ABC).

Andrea Ruth (Betty) is a longtime member of LA’s theatre community. She has been seen at NOTE in Josh Fardon’s This Contract Limits our Liability – Read It and multiple one-act productions, as well as Phinny Kiyomura’s Figure 8. She spent years on Sacred Fools’ late-night stage in Fast and Loose, Serial Killers and Crime Scene. She can be seen

in the upcoming sci-fi film After We Leave, to be screened at some prestigious as-yet-unannounced film festival. When not on stage she cares for one writer-husband, one adorable daughter, and one suspicious cat.

Alternate Cast

Alysha Brady (Whisk) has been Theatre of NOTE’s self-proclaimed resident Brit since 2011 and yet this is her first time using her own accent on this stage. She’s well chuffed. Other accents you might have heard her use here were General American (Hearts Like Fists), Drunk American (Sheet Cake Sliding), understudying an American

(Disassembly) and Scary Irish Gal (Banshee). Thanks to Phinny, John and the entire production including both fantastic casts. Love to SD. More info at www.AlyshaBrady.com.

Dean Harada (Composer/Sound Designer) was born and raised in Hawaii, and went on to study music theory and performance with MacArthur Fellow Ran Blake at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Collaborating with Grammy winner Oswaldo Golijov set his path toward the compositional life. Since moving to Los Angeles, his music (a romantic minimalism drawn from acoustic instruments and abstract sound) has underscored film and broadcast television. Dean’s professional life reflects an ongoing interest in exploring modes of conversive, narrative, and figurative work. The process of making music for picture and theater reconciles all the contradictory things that Dean loves: collaboration and solitude, narrative structure and nonlinear thinking, technology and the human touch.
