LANDFORMS AND WATERThere are many lagoons, streams, and steep

cliffs. Also, there are numerous mountain drops and Klamath river.

CLIMATEIn the winter it is warm. In the summer it is

cold. Over there it is rainy and foggy and perfect

for redwoods.

PLANTS AS NATURAL RESOURCES

They eat berries, acorns, and make flour. They make

baskets , and canoes out of roots.

They eat salmon, fowl , deer, mollusks, and woodpeckers.

They also used deerskin for clothes.

TRIBAL BELIEFS & ACTIVITIES

The Yurok Tribe believed in ritual cleanliness and

keeping the world clean. They also, thought by keeping

the world clean they were able to refresh the world. They

believed the Shaman should catch and eat the first salmon

of the season.

INTERESTING FACTS

The Yurok people were very unique. The men had a very

interesting source of wealth. The amount of land they

owned the wealthier they were. However the women had a

very different source of wealth. The more healing they

could do, the wealthier they were. Women used herbs,

roots, sticks, and bark to heal.
