The Yale Russian Chorus will appear in concert at the University
of Dayton Sunday evening, January 12, at 8:15 P.M. as a special event
in the Art Series program. The Chorus of 30 male voices will sing
a variety of Russian songs.
In the next Art Series eve nt, Joseph Fenimore , an ~ccomplished
pianist with superb Keyboard technique, will be on campus for 2 days and will
present a concert Thursday, January 16, at 8:15 P.M. in the
Kennedy Union.

JAZZ£ROCK IMPROVISATION CLINIC
The Music Division of Performing and Visual Arts Department will
host a Jazz-Rock Improvisation Clinic in the Ballroom of Kennedy Union
on January 10 and 11 from 9:00 A. M. to 3:00 P . M. The clinician for the
two day session will be Dr. Bert Konowitz, Professor of Music at the
University of Bridgeport in Connecticut
This clinic is the first in-depth clinic of its kind to be held in
the Miami Valley. The session Friday will emphasize improvisational skills in
keyboard instruction and performance. The session on Saturday will
emphasize improvisational skills in vocal and instrumental instruction
and performance. Members of fue University Choir and the Jazz Lab Band will
be featured in the demonstration.

The clinic is co-sponsored by District 11 of the Ohio
Music Educators Association , Moe llers Music Center, and
McCre adys Piano and Organ Co. It will be open to the public
free of chargeo
