We warmly extend an invitation for you to attend our 12th annual bull & female sale. Thank you to all the bidders, buyers and repeat customers from our past sales. Whether you live local or have traveled a long distance, we truly appreciate you taking time to attend and look forward to assisting you with your future bull needs. Feel free to stop by the farm anytime, we are always available. Tell us about your program and we will try to help you make a choice that will work best for you. Simmental genetics have so much to offer, superior maternal traits and performance to produce heavy weight steers and top end heifers to fill the demand for replacement females. Choosing a herd bull is one of the most important choices a cattleman has to make. A good bull will pay for himself when you sell his first set of calves. A poor bull, and especially if you keep your replacements, will cost you for years. It really pays to buy the best genetics you can.

Our sale offering is strong with a very good selection from calving ease to performance. This year we have some exciting transplant sons on offer sired by Spartacus, Reckless, Stepping Stone and Vision. The Premium, Revelstock, Scout, Spartacus and Bolero sons that were so popular at last year’s sale are back and the exciting new Crossroad Subaru, Mr. Westway 32C, TSN Predator and Wheatland Next Up sons will also make their debut for 2018. Several AI sires were also utilized to offer you the very best selection possible. We are also pleased to offer a good representation of our herd in the heifer section allowing you to expand your herd with some interesting genetics and just in time for breeding season.

Competent help is the key to a well- run operation and we would like to say a sincere Thank you to our employees Dave Caswell and Robin Lafond that work side by side with us on a daily basis. Also our family, friends and neighbors, Claude Wasden and crew, all good people we can count on, your efforts are truly appreciated.

If there is a bull you are interested in but are unable to attend the sale, just let us know and we can assist you in bidding or contact anyone of the capable sales staff to bid on your behalf. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday February 21st. Come early and enjoy a home cooked meal and some Crossroad hospitality. The Woytiuk Family

Red Stetson is one of the three impressive Spartacus x Code Red flush mates we are offering in this year’s sale. He is an incred-ibly good bull with structural correctness, impressive thickness throughout, a super hair coat and has a good disposition. Pictured here on November 12th you can certainly see why he is one of the family favourites. We have raised some impressive Spartacus progeny, he puts a “butt” into his calves like none other and we knew we wanted to inject those qualities into our red program. The dam we chose as the donor was our IPU Code Red female we purchased from Barry Labatte for $18,000 and she is worth every penny. She has received many compliments on her stunning profile and most perfect udder, she is also extremely quiet. Red Stetson has the Crossroad stamp of excellence, we think he has a lot to offer and hope you like him too. Crossroad Farms will be collecting semen on these genetics for in herd use.

We could barely afford the first two purebred females we purchased in 1995 and soon learned that just because they had papers didn’t mean they would produce any better than cows in our commercial herd. We had the purebred bug. We knew this new venture would fit our family well and decided to get serious and explore our options. So we took a loan … another loan… just what we needed! We toured the country, met some wonderful people and seen some great cow herds. We purchased females from proven cow families we had seen in our travels and through embryo transplants from these strong genetics we were able to expand our female base and raise the quality that would “wow” us as we watched them grow. We can attribute some of our early success to our embryo work and many of those good cow families are the foundations we still build on today. Over the years we have continued to expand on cow families through embryo transfers to keep our herd strong. We have fifteen trans-plant sons from these proven donor cows on offer this year.

IPU Ms. Code Red 249AShe has five sons in the sale from three dif-ferent sires, lots 1, 2, 3 are sired by Spartacus, lot 4 sired by Stepping Stone and her natu-ral calf lot 13 sired by Westcott.

Crossroad 106RPictured here at age 13, she has seven sons in the sale from three different sires, lots 5, 47, 48 & 49 are sired by Stepping Stone, lot 10 & 50 sired by Reckless and her natural calf, lot 19 sired by Westcott.

His dam’s first flush gave us twenty seven #1 embryos and she hasn’t slowed down since. We implanted more of her embryos this past spring and she is bred again for an early January calf, so good fertility in this bloodline. Her first calf, a Sheriff son, sold in our 2016 sale for $8,750 to Double S Land & Cattle at Mirror, Ab. Red Sparks is the other full brother to lot’s 1 & 2 and has that same tremendous hair coat and style. He has a little larger frame with that same Spartacus muscle and his dam’s maternal strengths, fertility and disposition. This is the outcome we were hoping for when we planned this Spartacus x Code Red mat-ing, where you find this much muscle and thickness! We are pleased to offer you these three brothers knowing that any one of them would be an excellent choice for your next herd sire.

CE BW WW YW MILK MCE MWWT2.8 4.2 77.2 112.5 28.2 5.7 66.8

Another excellent Spartacus x Code Red transplant son full of natural muscling from an early age. He has a tre-

mendous hair coat, great colour and plenty of style. Pic-tured here in early November at nine and a half months,

he is the youngest of the three brothers and has a similar body type to Red Stetson. He has a very good temperament and excellent testicle development. Four exceptional heifer

calves were also born from this flush and they are most impressive! We think these sisters will be some of the future cornerstones that will contribute to the strengths of our red and black programs. Red Styx has the genetics that could make a difference in your program. He is very popular with visitors checking out the bull pen, we hope you like him too

BW: 87 lbs. 205 Day adj. Wt: 865 lbs. 365 Day adj. Wt: 1486 lbs. Red Stone is a very good bull that will be easy to find on sale day. He is another transplant son out of our IPU Code Red flush cow. Stepping Stone is new to our sire line up this year, he is hetero black and homo polled. We have two red and three black Stepping Stone sons on offer and six daughters that will be retained in the herd and we are very pleased with them all. Red Stone is a long spined bull, has excellent growth on a bigger frame. He is full of natural muscling and has big testicles as you can see by his mid -November picture. He is one of Gerald’s favourites, has a really nice head and that “bull look” that always catches your eye when you walk into the pen. He will have a stunning profile when he matures. We think he is one of a kind. Expect some growthy well- muscled calves that will add value to your calf crop. ~ Homo Polled ~

A massive amount of dark red hair covering this body that is full of volume and style with a very good disposition too. Red Rush is the only red Stepping Stone transplant son out of the Crossroad 106R flush cow that we are offering this year. Stepping Stone is hetero black so we also have three black full brothers to offer as well, lots 47, 48 & 49. Jody’s old 106R cow will be thirteen this year and is here for a reason. She has raised some exceptional females that are real producers. She has always calved in January, has flushed well and has seven sons from three different sires in the sale this year. Good growth, high maternal values, fertility and consistency, here is a bull with some real qualities that we think you are going to like.

Pictured here in mid-November you can certainly see the potential this LFE Vegas son displays. This moderate framed bull weaned off his Crossroad Bartender dam Sept 3rd at 800 pounds. His dam is also a lower set cow, she has good fertility and is going to calve again in January to Vegas. She has a strong daughter working in the herd and a son was purchased by RCM Cattle Co. at Wrentham, Ab. CROSSROAD RED RIVER 34E

Here is a moderate birth weight bull out of the calving ease KWA Red Mountain A.I. sire and a broody Bolero heifer that

has certainly done a good job raising her first calf. We were hoping we would get a heifer calf from this mating; you can

never have too many Red Mountain females! Red River has good growth with adequate muscling, has a medium brown solid colour pattern and big testicles. Strong maternal strengths on both sides of his pedigree, this bull will be a real herd builder.

An end of January born bull mothered by a beautiful ud-dered, young full fleck Reputation female. Vegas sons were very popular at our bull sale last year averaging $13,300 on five sons. Fellow breeders at Crocus Simmentals had purchased one of those high priced sons that we had the opportunity to see on our fall tour. He bred well and we were both very pleased at how good he looks, he will mature into an impressive herd bull. Vault exhibits the same traits as the other Vegas sons we have in the sale. Another good, moderate framed Reckless son for you to assess. We purchased his high selling Trademark dam out of the Kop dispersal in Manitoba a few years ago. She raised a good bull going to MC Ranch at Cold Lake, Ab. and last year her Paparazzi daughter was the pick of the herd for Rafter 4T from Hairy Hill, Ab. Mega is a solid coloured bull with a good hair coat and adequate thickness. He is well balanced from head to hooves, free moving and ready to work.

We have a strong group of nine Reckless sons on offer this year. Mercury is another embryo transplant son out of the Crossroad 106R cow and a full brother to lot 50 in the sale. Five impressive daughters were also born from this flush, four will remain in the herd and the other extremely strong heifer calf was sold at the December Source female sale to John Beechinor for $10,250. She had the widest top we have ever seen in a calf! Mercury is a lower set bull; he is very wide over his top and stands on a good structure. He has good testicle development as you can see by his November 17th picture and is also very stylish. Excellent fertility in this bloodline with good consistent qualities, he will sire an impressive set of calves. ~ Hetero Polled ~

Westward was mothered by our 13 year old elite Rosemary cow, she has raised twelve January born calves, you can’t argue with that fertility! She did move on to greener pastures this fall. Her last year’s good bull was purchased by M&E Farms from St.Walburg, Sk. and the year before one of our top bulls went to Nelson Family Ranches at Stirling, Ab. Barry Labatte and WJ had purchased her Black Bolt bull in 2014 and the Mader Ranches “Twinkle” cow , who has been a good donor cow for them, is also one of the several good Rosemary calves we have sold. Westward has good colour, adequate thickness, performance and proven genetics that will work. A real sound package here for you to consider. ~ Homo Polled ~

Another Westcott son showing you all his qualities on this mid-November day. He does resemble the six other Westcott sons in the sale, deep sided, full of volume and very stylish. We are very pleased with our Westcott daughters too; they stand with the top

in our replacement pen. Westerner’s Gunner dam has always calved in January. She has a daughter working for Hay Valley from Calgary, Ab and

sons purchased by Alfred Nash from Glaslyn Sk. and Dry Creek Simmentals at Loon Lake, Sk. Good fertility to pass on to his daughters, here is a good stout bull that will add some quality and style to your next calf crop. ~ Hetero Polled ~

He is a Westcott son and combined with his Red Baron/ Rusty dam, gives this bull an injection of fleck genetics that has really worked

well. His productive eleven year old dam has always calved and is due again in January to our new Vegas sired herd bull. Her sons have sold to

Kevin & Wendy Langer from Riverhurst, Sk. and another to Lakeside Colony & RCM from Cranford, Ab. Pictured here in mid-November, showing early maturity with good depth of body and thickness throughout all on a good solid structure. Nice disposition on this guy too. West Way is a very good bull that will sire calves with performance and is sure to catch the attention of good cattlemen on sale day. ~ Homo Polled ~

Born in 2005 this old 106R cow just doesn’t quit pumping out the good ones. She also has six other sons in the sale, a bunch of daughters in the replacement pen and a high selling daughter that sold at the 2017 Source. She produces twenty plus embryos on every flush, caught to an early A.I. service so that we could offer her natural January born Westcott son this year. Last year she only had five calves, all LFE Vegas transplants, the two powerful females are retained in the herd and the three sons averaged $10,500 at our bull sale. Before that she raised eight natural calves, all born in January and she is bred again for a mid-January Wheatland Next-Up calf, I guess she’s earned her keep! Her daughters and granddaughters bring home the best every year. Incredible cow family! This bull Workx is solid red, thick haired, has a big butt, is homo polled and should certainly pass on fertility to his progeny. We are confident he will be an above average producer for her new owners. ~ Homo Polled ~

Here is a Red Rocket son that was born an 86 pound twin. He has adequate thickness is naturally quiet and is also quite stylish. Pictured here in November as well, you can appreciate his good body type and see good testicle development. He was mothered by a good uddered Radium dam. Good fertility in this bloodline, his grandam had seven good calves all born in January, check out her lot 25, SVS Premium son in the sale. Anchor has genetics full of quality to pass onto your next set of calves, a good bull here for you to consider.

Sired by the $210,000 Wheatland Kill Switch, Kalibur is solid red, structured well with a good hair coat. We really

like our Kill Switch calves and will have another group born in January. His good uddered young Paparazzi dam is due for

a mid-January Voltage calf. She has some fleckvieh genetics that contribute to the thickness of this herd sire prospect. Kalibur will sire calves that are in high demand for today’s market ~ Homo Polled ~

He is in the top 10 of our highest ranking bulls, so if you are looking for performance, here he is! A very stylish, solid dark red, long spined, good structured bull here with an excellent disposition and good testicle size. We love his powerful Slapshot dam. She has two very strong daughters working in the herd and she is also a half -sister to our Rosemary cow. Rosebud Colony from Rockyford, Ab. purchased two full brothers at the last two bull sales. We saw them this fall and were very pleased to see what impressive bulls they have grown into. Powershift will mature into an excellent bull and will sire a very strong set of soggy steers. He will leave you with foundation females that will always bring home the biggest calves. ~ Homo Polled ~

Excellent performance and a good disposition on this end of January born bigger framed Premium son. He is

very dark red everywhere except for a little under belly white that comes from his fleckvieh mom. She has good fertility,

always calving in January. We have three of her daughters working in the herd and a son was purchased by Jeff Fitzsimmons from Colonsay, Sk. Podium has extreme length, good structure is deep sided with thickness throughout, all qualities that his soggy set of steers will inherit. Precision is red with some chrome on his face, is deep bodied, has good thickness with an excellent hair coat and a good dis-position. This is the first bull calf this stylish full fleck 14P Evan cow has raised. We have one daughter working in the herd and

another was purchased by Whitewood Ranch at Fort Kent, Ab. She is bred back for an early January calf. She certainly did a good

job feeding this big brute, excellent performance on this February born Premium son. Precision will sire a super set of calves that will excel in the feedlot.

Big performance, big body and big testicles on the February born Westway 32C son, guess we should have named him Mr. Big.

Super hair coat on this big bodied February born Revelstock son. His dam is an old T”cow, she is not a pretty thing, she has no tail and

is missing some hide for most of her life. We don’t know if it was a bear attack or wolves that were looking for lunch, but she recovered

and hasn’t slowed down. Referee is her ninth calf and she is due again in January. Bristow Ranching purchased two of her sons, Reid Nichols also

from Heinsburg, Ab. selected another and Wallgren Farms from Edgerton, Ab. purchased a strong daughter at last year’s sale. Not a great picture of Referee but you can be the judge on sale day. Guaranteed to give you that extra punch of performance for an above average calf crop. ~ Hetero Polled ~

Low birth weight, dark red, tremendous hair coat and plenty of thickness are just some of the qualities this Scout son has to offer. Sunny Valley Scout has been our YES you can go to sleep at night heifer bull for the last few years. Some easy calving bloodlines in his Klondike dam’s side too. Good weaning weight here that will produce some early maturing progeny heavy weights right off the pasture. Calving ease and still good performance, it’s what we are all looking for, make sure he is on your - check him out list. ~ Homo Polled ~

Sired by our easy calving Scout herd bull and born unassisted to a powerful full fleck Bolero first calf heifer. Due to an injury this is our last year for Scout calves, so if you need a moderate birth weight bull with good performance, this may be your last chance to put your hand up. He’s the youngest bull in the sale and sure has a lot to offer. Sired by our other heifer bull TSN Predator who is a super easy calver and mothered by a Deep Quarter heifer that calved unas-sisted and is due again in early January. Here is a bull that has the advantage of having a low birth weight with great performance, thickness, good structure and testicle size, and then there is good hair colour and style. He will certainly add some quality to your next calf crop. You could say… that buying this bull would give you the Advantage. ~ Hetero Polled ~

I think he was the cutest baby calf that I have ever seen and didn’t think that he would turn into much because he was so small, but he sure surprised

me!! Sired by our calving ease specialist TSN Predator and mothered by one of the stylish cows on the farm. She is a perfect uddered full fleck Radium daughter that is super dark red and goggle eyed. Nice disposition on his sire, his dam and also this mid-February born son. This smooth made bull will offer low birth weight combined with natural fleshing ability, super style along with his abundance of dark red hair. Here is a real interesting herd bull prospect, he could be the bull you have been looking for.

Another excellent Scout son, deep bodied, good rear quarter, thickness throughout, pretty stylish too with

his colour and good hair coat. Born unassisted to a fancy Paparazzi heifer that is due to calve again in mid-January. Some

strong maternal traits in her pedigree, I would sure keep some of these Transit heifers for replacements. A lot of potential here, if

you are looking for a versatile, low birth weight, homo polled bull, be sure to consider this one on sale day. ~ Homo Polled ~

Weaned off Sept. 3rd at 845 lbs. We purchased a semen package from Erixon Sim-mentals on their homo polled, hetero black $60,000 MRL Pretty Reckless herd bull, and we are sure pleased with his calves. Here is a very stylish, wide topped solid black Reckless son with a tremendous hair coat that we have admired all summer. His black Crosby/Power Drive dam is a real looker. We purchased her at the Kopp dispersal a few years ago and she has raised bulls for Delray Creary from Shell Lake, Goldridge Farming at Turin, Ab. and West Raley colony at Cardston, Ab. Black Armor will sire an impressive set of calves. ~ Homo Polled – Homo Black ~

Here is a solid black bigger framed Reckless son with a super thick hair coat, big testicles and a good disposition. He weighed in Sept 3rd at

940 lbs. and you can tell by his November picture that he has adequate thick-ness and an overall good body type. His moderate framed, Crossroad Black Belt

sired dam, has an excellent udder and is bred to Supremacy for another January calf. Her last year’s bull calf and full brother to this bull sold to Circle M Farms at Birtle, Mb. His dam also has a very eye appealing

daughter working in the herd that has her first calf in the sale, check out lot 41. If you are looking for a black bull with substance to add extra pounds to your calf crop and sire exceptional replacement heifers, you had better have this guy on your list to check out on sale day. ~ Hetero Polled – Homo Black ~

Should have called this one Black Tank, what a chunk he is! Wide topped, big butt and has a North Pole hair coat, better than a Polar bear.

We purchased his dam at Simmsational in 2015 from Erixon Simmentals for $18,000 and she is due to calve again in January. Her first calf was a fancy black

heifer that our granddaughter Olivia claimed for her 4-H project. Champion 4-H female is what the judge said. She also went on to win the Tiger Lilly Classic in conjunction with the PA EX. Granddaughter and heifer are pretty tight, checking every day now, anticipating the birth of her calf. Grandma is thinking this could be a new little herd emerging, but her Dad is digging in his heels a bit so I think everyone that reads this should call or text him 306-227-9910 and tell him to JUST GIVE HER THE HEIFER JODY so she can start her own herd!! Back to the bull, he is really good, and we think he will sire calves that will make you smile all the way to the bank! ~ Homo Polled – Hetero Black ~

Black Cruz is a big brute with a ton of power, weaned off Sept.3rd at 965 lbs. One of the first bulls we pictured in early November and you can see even at that age that he has all the makings of a quality herd bull. His mother always raises a good calf, her last year’s son was one of three bulls purchased by Kenny Lee at Big Timber, Montana. Her daughters have been selected by Silvertop Simmentals at Rimbey, Ab. and another by Tri K Cattle at Beaver Lodge, Ab. Along with his excellent maternal traits he also has a very good disposition and have you noticed the length on this bull? It is always a little alarming when you see that bigger birth weight number on the scale, but you really smile when you look at those numbers again at weaning, length is the key to get the heavy weights. A very solid bull. ~ Homo Polled – Hetero Black ~

Massive amount of thick black hair covering this body that is full of volume and as you can see in this November picture, he has a big butt. We bought his good

uddered El Tigre dam as a heifer calf from Barry Labatte for $18,000. I don’t know if it was the coyotes or wolves that liked her first calf as much as we did, always hap-

pens to the expensive ones! We had harvested a few Ignition embryos from her as a heifer and have a daughter that is due to calve any day, actually the same day as her

mom. Sure hope they are heifer calves! Black Tux is a super stylish blaze faced bull out of our new Wheatland Next Up herd sire that is sure to be popular on sale day. You are

all invited to the sale, so come and check him out. ~ Homo Polled – Homo Black ~

Now this is style. And wow, did this little fellow ever grow! Born unassisted to a heifer that is full of powerful females in her bloodlines, they are the kind you could count on year after year to bring home the best. Pictured here November 19th at just over nine months, this TSN Predator son has not only covered all the bases, he has hit it right out of the ball park! Imagine him in a couple years, showing off all his maturity in your front pasture, the neighbours will be hoping he is a fence jumper so he can come visit their cows. Moderate birth weight, good performance, chalked full of maternal traits, all the qualities that adds value to his progeny. ~ Homo Polled – Hetero Black ~

A moderate framed, February born son sired by our calving ease specialist TSN Preda-tor. He has excellent performance, great hair and that all important money stripe

on the face. This is the first calf from an All In heifer that is one of Gerald’s favourites. This young bull’s maternal grand dam has certainly produced her fair share of good

calves too, and I’m sure Black Out’s dam will follow in her mother’s footsteps, a very good cow family here. Black Out has good muscle development and performance

combined with a moderate birth weight, here is a bull that will sire some outstanding females and thick attractive sons that are right for today’s market.

~ Homo Polled – Hetero Black ~

This one has been a favourite since spring, and all summer in the pas-ture you couldn’t help but admire his thickness and style. The money strip on his face and his stature really gives him that bull presence look. We were hoping to get a female from these embryo’s we purchased, it was so long ago that we sold his dam Ramona as a heifer calf at Checkers. She was so good, it would have been nice to get a piece of her back by having a daughter to work with. Black Sedan is an excellent bull, full of consistency, he will go on to sire steers with performance and females that will continue to produce long after he is gone. ~ Homo Polled – Hetero Black ~

Umbra progeny has been purchased by Red Willow Ranch, Kulyk Simmentals, Black Gold, and a strong Westcott was purchased at the 2017 Source by Harry and Michelle from Virginia Ranch. Some undeniable qualities in this dark red, goggle eyed herdsire, backed up with strong maternal traits. You could drive many miles looking for a stylish full fleck dark red, goggle eyed bull with a ton of hair that is as good as this one. Come anytime to check him out, we are always happy to see you and coffee is always on.

We have fifteen impressive Spartacus sons for you this year. This is another good Spartacus x Umbra transplant that is bigger framed and very soggy with a ton of hair. He does have some white in the flank on both sides but that certainly won’t affect the quality calves he will produce. While tour-ing several customer herds we sure could pick out the calves that our Spartacus sons have sired for them. The most valuable trait is ease of fleshing, and that is where Spartacus genetics shine, his calves have that extra muscling. Good performance from this February born future herdsire, here is a bull that will sire some good ones.

BW: 96 lbs. 205 Day adj. Wt: 805 lbs. 365 Day adj. Wt: 1295 lbs. Syndicate is a full brother to Cross-road Subaru that we sold in the 2016 bull sale for $37,000 to Canadian Sires, Mark Land & Cattle & Spring Lake Simmentals. He has a ton of potential and as you can see in this mid- November picture, he is long. His dam comes from a long line of great uddered females. In fact the whole pedigree is stacked full of proven bloodlines that have produced the best year after year and when you combine the Spartacus genetics into the mix, you get these results! We have a full sister to these powerful brothers that is due to calve to our exciting new herd bull, RWR Steiger. Syndicate’s dam is due to Blueprint for a mid- January calf and we are sure hoping for a female. Syndicate has it all, early maturing, natural thickness, he weaned off in early September at 915 lbs. You just don’t find this length every day, and you may have to look twice when you read the numbers on the scale when his long bodied steers step on. Length equals money in the cattle business. Keep all the daughters you can out of this one.

CROSSROAD SABRE 40E

There is a reason for the low weaning weight. This poor guy has had a hard life; he was abandoned at a couple months of age and

was too old to swap moms. We thought he would just turn out to be a scrub or a possible meal for predators, so he got hauled out with the

commercial cows to a bush pasture. Well, what a surprise we got in the fall, we should have renamed him Tuff, he has all the same qualities as the other brothers just in a smaller package. We certainly feel that he has the quality and deserves a spot in the bull sale ring. He is full of thickness and style and has all the strengths of the lot 62 & 63 brothers. He surprised us and we think you will be pleasantly surprised too when you see him on sale day.

Been admiring this guy’s thickness all summer, he is a very quiet natured and good structured bull too. Pictured here November 12th you can sure see

that Spartacus rump muscle forming and his thickness throughout. His dam is a transplant from a cow we co-owned with our good friends from BBBG in

Quebec. She is a moderate framed cow, nicely uddered, is very fertile, has always calved and is due again in January. She has produced a daughter for Kulyk Simmentals from North

Battleford, Sk. and Allan Tkatchyk at Ashmont, Ab. Pernitsky Farms from Wilkie, Sk. also purchased a very good son at last year’s sale. A very good full fleck pedigree on this future herdsire and just an overall well rounded individual. Sellers will be a popular bull on sale day, give this one some serious consideration, he will be worth it.

Spartacus… raised by our good friend Philippe Bellavance at Ferme Sibelle from Quebec and co-owned with Little Willow Creek. One of the best bulls we have ever used. Pictured here in November, here is another typical made Spartacus son, extremely thick, full of meat and really moves out well. Mothered by a young and really good uddered Rusty cow. If you look back in her pedigree you would find a host of top producing females, one after the other and it looks like this one will be every bit as productive. Good performance and great disposition on this Showdown bull too, he will not have trouble finding a home on sale day.

BW: 90 lbs. 205 Day adj. Wt: 793 lbs. 365 Day adj. Wt: 1283 lbs.

A high performance Spartacus son here with a larger frame and massive muscle that is capable of covering a lot of cows. As you can

see he does have a small patch of white on his back and some on his legs but that won’t affect the super soggy steers he will sire. His

Harrach dam is from a family of good milking, tight uddered females. Longevity in this bloodline too, his grandam raised many good calves for

us. Reid Nichols from Heinsburg, Ab. purchased a son from Score’s dam and a daughter was selected by Sunville Simmentals in Manitoba. If you

are looking for high performance and wanting to fill your feedlot with early maturing heavy weight calves that will finish faster, there is no doubt you will

Score big by using this guy as your next herd bull .

A long bodied bull with a big rear quarter and good thickness on a moderate frame best explains this Spartacus son. He also has an

extremely good disposition and large testicles. Surplus was mothered by a polled Everest cow that always brought home a big calf and has good daughters

working in the herd. Here is a bull that will go on to make some superior females and some very powerful, very marketable steers.

Great color on this stylish Spartacus son. He has ample thickness, good testicle development and moves out well, he is the type of bull that will cover a lot of cows. His Regio dam comes from a long line of good uddered and very productive females. She is due again in January to Spartacus. She has raised an exceptional Radium daughter working in the herd that is also the dam of lot 46. At last year’s sale a son was also selected by John Bloomquist from Big Valley, Ab. Spartacus on a polled cow and chose the dam of the Crossroad Polled Future bull purchased by Brian Bouchard and Bonchuk Farms at the 2016

bull sale. She has good fertility, always calved and is due in January. We have one of her daughter’s working in the herd that is a full sister to Polled Future,

she is due to calve any day. Another daughter is working for Ockerman Sim-mentals at Elk Point, Ab. I think this Sirachi bull will leave some tremendous

females, and if you are looking for polled, here is one to check out on sale day.

A big bodied all meat and muscle Subaru son pictured Novem-ber 15th. One of the reasons we picture early is so that you can see the potential these young bulls have and not just make your decision on sale day when they look their best. For most of our bulls it is three or more months from picture day to sale day. It is good for our buyers to have the option of assessing them at different stages of their growth, and besides that, the “Master”, or “the old guy”- Gerald ( I do have other names for him too sometimes) he doesn’t move as fast as he used to and we have to start picturing early or we will never get done!! Born a 94 lb. twin that has grown into quite a good bull. You need a strong cow to produce a good bull and these Cornerstone mothers are some of the best. Her sons have sold to Allan Tkatchyk at Ashmont Ab., Rene Peuch from St. Walburg, Sk., Kevin Ehalt, Humbolt, Sk. and we also have a good daughter retained in the herd. Grand Slam is long bodied on a bigger frame, has adequate muscle, good hair coat, colour and style. Good temperament on all the Philosophy calves too. Grand Slam daughters will be exceptional and steers will be growthy with a ton of performance that will excel in the feedlot. Here is a good bull that could be used on a variety of cows with excellent results.

We often get requests for a tan colored bull, and here is a very good one! Weighed 820 lbs on weaning day September 3rd. He

is wide topped with lots of middle, has excellent length of body and again pictured in November, he is going to be a tank come sale day.

He comes from a good producing cow family, his dam has raised sons for South Peace Colony at Dawson Creek, B.C. and O’Hare Ranching at Kitscoty,

Ab. A very good bull with good maternal traits and plenty of thickness to pass on to the next generation, He may even sire all dark red calves. Don’t let this one sneak

through the sale ring without putting your hand up, he will be a good breeding bull too.

A very good long bodied, moderate birth weight full fleck bull that of course has that Radium style, style, style! Crossroad Radium has been

used successfully over the years as an easy calving bull and he has sure sired some fancy calves! We have many daughters working in the herd and they are

phenomenal producers. Jeronimo is the first calf out of a Spartacus heifer. She has a pedigree that is full of extremely good producing females with small teats and tight

udders, so keep these Jeronimo daughters! These Radium calves are so nicely made. Jeronimo is full in the flank, square over the rump with good muscle expression and that tail head fits in so nicely. Good clean lines on this bull with great hair and colour, testicle size, he is smooth over the shoulders and has calving ease on both sides of his pedigree. Geeze, maybe we should keep this one! He may be the last lot in this catalogue, but he is good and will be a popular bull on sale day.

Check out this black beauty with her beautiful shape, clean front end, thick hair coat and so very stylish. Sired by the female maker Grand Fortune. Olivia’s Grand Fortune heifer just calved yesterday and what a perfect little tidy udder she has! Easy Girl is the first calf out of a powerful Spring Creek All In female, she just had her second calf..s, twin bulls! Her grand dam is our powerful X-Amillie cow that is the mother of lot 57, the Blackstock bull. Easy Girl is a very nice, quiet natured heifer with a good pedigree to buy into. We are pleased to offer you this quality female. ~ Homo Polled – Homo Black ~

A moderate frame and good hair coat on this fancy Wheatland Next Up heifer. She was mothered by a Tanker

female that is due to have another Next Up calf in January. Elexandra’s granddam is also the X-Amillie cow, so lot 85 &

86 have some of the same genetics. Here is a heifer that has the potential to produce top end progeny and probably some

with that desirable blaze face too. She will make a very nice ad-dition to any herd.

Tremendous hair coat on this stylish heifer, you will easily be able to spot her in the herd with her colouring. I can’t tell you much about her sire Western Force, but we do know lots about Spartacus.

When you see his name in a pedigree, it means thickness and a lot of it. We purchased Evette’s dam at the 2016 Source sale from the good folks at Little Willow Creek. She has been a good working female

and will calve later in January. Evette is also naturally quiet and has good performance making this heifer’s interesting package very complete. I would bet that this one is going to raise some herd bulls.

This is not a good picture of this Revelstock daughter but it does show her good body type and hair coat. She has a very stylish dam that is sired by Esposito, her last year’s heifer calf was an incredible Vegas daughter that we found dead in the pasture this summer. Why is it always the best ones that die? Her grandam is the Yearwood cow that raised the excellent Vegas bull purchased by Crocus Simmentals at last year’s sale. Essex will mature into a real brood cow, and she will be a good productive female. ~ Homo Polled ~
