ACT ONE This is the story of a young girl. Her name is Dorothy. One day there is a terrible storm and her house disappears. Look where Dorothy is now. She is in Oz! Dorothy : Oh no! Where am I? Toto! Toto! . Come here! Where are you? Toto: Woof-woof!

Glinda : Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?

Dorothy: Who, me? I’m not a witch at all! Witches are old and ugly!

( I Munchkins sorridono)

Glinda : They are laughing because I am a witch. I’m Glinda the good witch. What’s your name?

Dorothy : I beg you pardon! But I’ve never heard of a beautiful witch before. I’m Dorothy, I’m from Kansas. Who are they?

Munchkins : Hello! We are the munchkins! Welcome to Oz!

Dorothy : Oh! That’s my house! Who’s that under my house?

Munchkins : That’s the wicked witch of the East! Now she’s dead!

Glinda: Oh I’m happy. The wicked witch of the East is dead. Dorothy, these magic shoes are for you!

Dorothy : Magic shoes? Thank you, but I want to go home. Please help me!

Glinda : Go to the city of Emerald! The wizard of Oz can help you!

Dorothy : Where’s the city of Emerald?

Munchkins : Just follow the yellow brick road!

Dorothy meets new friends on the yellow brick road. Dorithy: Oh hello! Who are you? Why are you sad? Scarecrow: I’m a scarecrow. I’m sad because I haven’t got a brain. Dorothy: Oh poor Mr Scarecrow! Come with me to the Wizard of Oz. Maybe he can give you a brain. Along the way, Dorothy and Mr Scarecrow meet a tinman. Dorothy: Oh hello! Who are you? Why are you sad? Tinman: I’m a tinman. I’m sad because I haven’t got a heart. Dorothy: Oh poor Mr Tinman! Come with us to the Wizard of Oz. Maybe he can give you a heart. Along the way, Dorothy, Mr Scarecrow and Mr Tinman meet a lion. Dorothy: Oh hello! Who are you? Why are you

sad? Lion: I’m a lion. I’m sad because I haven’t got courage! Dorothy: Oh poor Mr Lion! Come with us to the Wizard of Oz. Maybe he can give you courage.

ACT THREE Finally Dorothy and her friends find the Wizard. Lion: Oh, look at the Wizard! He’s got big eyes! I’m afraid! Scarecrow: Yes, he’s got a big moustache,

too! Dorothy: Hello, Mr Wizard. Can you help

us? I want to go to Kansas! I want to go home! Tinman: I want a heart. Scarecrow: I want a brain. Lion: And I want courage. Wizard: Yes, I can help you, but...

I want the wicked witch of the West! Find her and bring her to me!

Dorothy: The wicked witch of the West? What does she look like? Wizard: She’s thin and tall. She’s very

ugly! She’s very bad! Destroy her! The four friends are very sad and afraid.

ACT FOUR The wicked witch is very angry. Witch: Monkeys! Come here quickly!

I want Dorothy! I want the magic shoes!

Monkey 1: What does she look like? Monkey 2: What is she wearing? Witch: She’s got long blonde hair and blue

eyes. She’s wearing a pink, white and red dress and red shoes.

The monkeys capture Dorothy and soon she is a prisoner in the Witch’s castle. Witch: I want your red shoes! Dorothy: No! Let me go! Look! Her friends are in the castle. They want to help her. What is Mr Scarecrow doing? He’s got a bucket of water! Look! He is throwing it at the witch! Witch: Help me! Monkeys, help me! Dorothy: Look! The witch is desappearing! The witch is dead!

Song: The wicked Witch is angry The wicked Witch is angry, she wants Dorothy, She gets her in the castle, very quickly. The wicked Witch wants the shoes that are red But now she can’t have them, she’s dead, she’s dead! But now she can’t have them, she’s dead, she’s dead! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ACT FIVE Dorothy and her three friends go to the Wizard again. Dorothy: Mr Wizard! Where are you? The

wicked witch is dead! Now can you help me? Lion: Look! I see a man behind the

armchair! Tinman: What is he doing? Lion: He’s eating! Scarecrow: Who are you? Where is the Wizard

of Oz? Wizard: I am the Wizard! Well...I’m not really

a wizard, I’m just an ordinary man. Lion: Oh no, you can’t help us! Wizard: But you don’t need a wizard. Mr Scarecrow, you are intelligent. Mr Lion, you’ve got courage. Mr Tinman, you’ve got a heart. Dorothy: You’re not a wizard! Oh no! You can’t help me! I can’t go home! Scarecrow:Poor Dorothy, she can’t go home! Lion: Don’t worry Dorothy! You can stay with us!

ACT SIX Dorothy is sad and afraid. She wants to go home. Tinman: Look! It’s Glinda! She can help

Dorothy! Dorothy: Oh Glinda, can you really help me? I want to go home! Glinda: Remember Dorothy, you’ve got

magic shoes! Close your eyes and make a wish!

Dorothy: Home sweet home! I want to go home!

ACT SEVEN Dorothy wakes up after a bad temperature and sees her aunt and uncle. Dorothy: Help me please, I want to go home! Uncle: But you are at home! You’re in your

bed! Dorothy: Where is Mr Scarecrow? And where is Mr Lion? Is Mr Tinman here? Aunt: Mr Scarecrow and Mr Tinman? It was just a bad dream! Dorothy: Oh Toto! We’re home! It was just a bad dream! Tot: Woof- woof!
