Jehovah’s Witnesses 1) They say that you cannot interpret the Bible without their Magazine : Jehovah’s witnesses are taught that the only way you can get a true interpretation of the scriptures is to get it only from their watchtower magazine through their Watchtower organization based out of Brooklyn NY. This is what they say from their magazine: - (The Watchtower December 1st, 1981 page 27) says; “Jehovah God has also provided his visible organization, his faithful and discreet slave, made up of spirit-anointed ones, to help Christians in all nations to understand and apply properly the Bible in their lives. Unless we are in touch with this channel of communication that is is using, we will not progress along the road of life, no matter how much Bible reading we do.” - (The Watchtower November 1st, 1961 page 668) says; “He (God) wants his earthly servants united, and so he has made understanding the Bible dependent upon associating with his organization.” - (The Watchtower July 1st, 1965, page 391) says; “He does not impart his holy Spirit and an understanding and appreciation of his word apart from his visible organization (the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ churches).” - (The Watchtower February 15th, 1981, page 19) says; “We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the scriptural guidance - The Jehovah 's witnesses were founded in the late 1870 'S by a man named Charles Russell . Jehovah’s Witnesses

1) They say that you cannot interpret the Bible withouttheir Magazine: Jehovah’s witnesses are taught that theonly way you can get a true interpretation of the scripturesis to get it only from their watchtower magazine throughtheir Watchtower organization based out of Brooklyn NY.This is what they say from their magazine:

- (The Watchtower December 1st, 1981 page 27)says; “Jehovah God has also provided his visibleorganization, his faithful and discreet slave, madeup of spirit-anointed ones, to help Christians inall nations to understand and apply properly theBible in their lives. Unless we are in touch withthis channel of communication that is is using,we will not progress along the road of life, nomatter how much Bible reading we do.”

- (The Watchtower November 1st, 1961 page668) says; “He (God) wants his earthly servantsunited, and so he has made understanding theBible dependent upon associating with hisorganization.”

- (The Watchtower July 1st, 1965, page 391) says;“He does not impart his holy Spirit and anunderstanding and appreciation of his word apartfrom his visible organization (the Jehovah’sWitnesses’ churches).”

- (The Watchtower February 15th, 1981, page19) says; “We all need help to understand theBible, and we cannot find the scriptural guidance

- The Jehovah's witnesses were founded in the late

1870 'S by a man named Charles Russell.

we need outside the faithful and discreet slaveorganization.”

- (The Watchtower March 1st, 1979 page 1) says;“Put faith in a victorious organization!”

- So all of the Jehovah’s Witnesses beliefs comenot from the Bible but from their finalauthority, their organization.

What God says in the Bible in regards to this: God tells usthat the Jehovah’s Witnesses are totally wrong:

1. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, not anorganization: (1st John 2:25-27), (John 14:26), (John16:12-14), (1st Corinthians 2:13), (Luke 24:45),(Genesis 40:8).

2. Our Mediator to talk and hear from God is not anorganization, but the Lord Jesus Christ: (1st Timothy2:5). We hear Jesus Christ’s voice not an organization!(John 10:27-30).

3. God tells us not to trust man, which is what theJehovah’s Witness Society is, a bunch of men tellingyou what to believe: (Romans 3:4), (Psalm 118:8),(Jeremiah 17:5-10)

4. Ask God and He alone will give you the truth and thewisdom: (James 1:5-6), (Luke 11:9-13).

5. God still has it set up for Pastors and Teachers to teachus (Ephesians 4:11-14), we are to readily receive thepreaching and teaching but always check it in theBible (Acts 17:11).

2) Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that you have to performworks to be saved: According to the Watchtower Magazinethere are four things you have to do to be able to live onParadise Earth, (Watchtower, February 15th, 1983 page 12)

4,E John 17:17], [ Romans 3 :3 -43, EJohn

12:48),[Isaiah 8:20)

,IIITimothy 3:16 -ID

says this;- “Jesus Christ identified a first requirement when

he said in prayer to his father: “This meanseverlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you,the only true God, and of the one whom you sentforth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3) Knowledge ofGod and of Jesus Christ includes knowledge ofGod’s purposes regarding the earth and ofChrist’s role as earth’s new king. Will you take insuch knowledge by studying the Bible?”

- “Many have found the second requirement more

difficult. It is to obey God’s laws, yes, to conformone’s way of life. (1st Corinthians 6:9-10), (1stPeter 4:3-4).” In more of their religious writingsthey say this; “Accepting the message ofsalvation and devoting ourselves to God throughChrist and being baptized in water is only thebeginning of our exercise of faith. It is only thebeginning of our obedience to God. It sets us onthe way to everlasting life, but it does not meanour finaly salvation,” (This Means EverlastingLife, page 181)

- “A third requirement is that we be associated with

God’s channel, his organization. God has alwaysused an organization… To receive everlasting lifein the earthly Paradise we must identify thatorganization and serve God as part of it.”

- The fourth requirement is connected with loyalty.

God requires that prospective subjects of hiskingdom support his government by loyallyadvocating his kingdom rule to others. Jesus

11

Christ explained: “This good news of thekingdom will be preached in all the inhabitedearth,” (Matthew 24:14) Will you meet thisrequirement by telling others about God’sKingdom?”

What God says in the Bible in regards to this: God says thatthe Jehovah’s witnesses are once again totally wrong. Godtells us that salvation (eternal life) comes by grace throughfaith and not by works:

- (Ephesians 2:8-9), (Galatians 2:16, 21), (Galatians3:21-26)

- (Romans 3:28), (Romans 4:5), (Romans 5:1),(Romans 10:9-10)

- (Acts 13:38-39), (Acts 16:30-31), (2nd Timothy 1:9),(Titus 3:4-8)

3) Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t believe that Jesus Christ is Godnor do they believe in the Trinity:

- “The very fact that he was sent proves he (Jesus)was not equal with God but was less than God theFather.” (The Word, Who Was He? Page 41)

- “The obvious conclusion is, therefore, that Satan isthe originator of the trinity doctrine.” (Let GodBe True, page 101)

What God says in the Bible in regards to this: Again theJehovah’s Witnesses are totally wrong, Jesus is God, and theTrinity does exist, God is three persons in one: God theFather, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost.

- Jesus is God: (Matthew 1:21-23), (John 1:1),(John 20:28-29), (Hebrews 1:8-9), (1st Timothy

3:16), (Isaiah 9:6) etc…- The Trinity Exists: (1st John 5:7), (John 10:28-

30), (Matthew 28:18-20), (Matthew 3:16-17). 4) Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t believe that Hell is a literalfiery place: What the Bible says: Once again the Jehovah’s witnesses arewrong, hell is a real fiery place:

- (Luke 16:23-24), (Deuteronomy 32::22),(Matthew 5:22), (Matthew 18:8-9), (Matthew13:50), (James 3:6), (Matthew 25:41), (Jude 7,(Proverbs 27:20) etc...
