Our team decided to go further on with the concept of Live with Energy. We took inspiration from the green soul of the city and wanted to keep the gas tank while making new use out of it. We have therefor redesigned the gas tank and converted it into a wind turbine. The original tank would be in this building, be used as the hub of the turbine while keeping its artistic look making the new wind turbine an iconic monument of the city of Emmen.

The materials used to build our model of The Dot are recycled cardboard, col-ourful fabric and CDs used as the main structure.

One of the most peculiar buildings of the city of Emmen is The Dot. A former gas container of the type of which only two still exist in Europe. In 2008 an artist called Toyist Dejo, founder of the artistic movement Toyism, was given the privilege to repaint the tank which used to be a boring blue. The theme of the deco-ration was Live with Energy.
