The Willows“We were first attracted by the size and the unique appearance of The Willows; we also loved how spacious the rooms were and the spectacular sea views. As soon as we laid our eyes on it we knew it would be perfect for us,” says Debbie.

“Since moving into the property three years ago we have made a few improvements to the house including changing the ‘shed’ into an office. This is extremely convenient if you want to work from home as it is spacious, quiet and light. This can easily be converted into something else if the next owners require, as the possibilities are endless for it. We also did a lot of re-decoration and we’ve found that the under floor heating makes for a wonderfully snug atmosphere in the winter.”

“My favourite room is the family room as it is the heart of the home and where we spend most of our time. There are so many rooms to relax in but this one is definitely the most popular. All of the rooms are a fantastic size and the kitchen is open plan. This makes it the perfect house for socialising and having special events and parties. Over the years we have had many parties with friends and family and it never feels overcrowded. The garden area is also great in the summer, when you can have barbecues and sit outside to relax in the beautiful surroundings,” continues Debbie.

“The location is brilliant; it is a small community here yet we have a few local facilities just down the road including a co-operative supermarket as well as the local butchers, bakery and lovely pubs to enjoy a nice evening meal. The beach is approximately 20 minutes away and Rye is around two miles away. Winchelsea is a hidden gem and we will really miss how close we are to the sea. I love going on long walks with the dogs as there are so many public footpaths you can take. It is also a really safe and friendly place if you have children and a wonderful place to bring them up.”

In Winchelsea Beach itself there is access onto a shingle beach which stretches from Pett level to the river estuary at Rye Harbour.

Also nearby is the Ancient Cinque Port Town of Rye which offers an extensive range of shopping facilities and amenities including a main line station (Ashford to Brighton line). Connections at Ashford International for the continent and high speed service to London St Pancras in just 37 minutes. Alternatively the M20 may be joined at Ashford with connections to the M25.

DIRECTIONSLeaving Rye in a westerly direction on the A259 continue for approximately 2 miles turning left signposted Winchelsea Beach (Sea Road). Continue for approximately 200 yards where the property will be seen set back form the road on the right hand side.
