Our school is a quite big and relatively new building.

There are about two hundred students at the age of thirteen to fifteen.

As for the staff it is twenty-five teachers included the headmaster and the

secretaries. In terms of school facilities there are a computer room, an arts

and crafts laboratory and a scool auditoriun. There are also a basket ball

and a volley ball court in the school yard. We have also a library, where

pupils can borrow books and spend quality time by reading.

Our school has a history of organizing a range of events such as cultural,

enviromental and athletic ones.

We also arrange excursions, sightseeing programmes and in the end of

the school year students organize a painting and an arts and crafts

exhibition.

The third class students organize a farewell festival nith humorous

performances and a lot of dancing, singing and eating delicious Hellenic

food.

The Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Olympic Games

Beijing 2008

The Olympic torch has been lit on March 24th in front of the Temple of

Hera on the historic grounds of Olympia, in the birthplace of Olympism,

where the Ancient Olympic Games took place. The flame was lit

successfully by a Holy Priestess, according to the traditional ritual, using

the sun's rays and a parabolic mirror.

Greek high priestess Maria Nafpliotou lights the Olympic torch. First
