Refreshments will be served and there are prizes, too! Tickets can be purchased at the door. Proceeds go to the Middle School 18-19 Fund.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS Help Us Get a Head Start on the Holidays We are collecting items for Thanksgiving baskets for families in need at Gloria Dei and Davie Elementary. If you can help with our Thanksgiving baskets please refer to the individual class assignments your child received. You may also choose to help by donating money for gift cards or perishable items to complete the holiday dinner. Donations can be made until our Wednesday, Nov. 14th Chapel service.

The staff and families of Gloria Dei would

like to extend our heartfelt condolences to

our asst. principal, Ms. Joy Reitsma, on the

death of her father, Ronald Reitsma, who

was a charter member of Gloria Dei. We pray

for God’s continued blessings of comfort,

strength and peace be upon Ms. Reitsma, her

son Ronnie, and mother Barbara during

this time of mourning

Please join our preschool students (CDC3’s, 3K, 4K) on

Tues., Nov. 20th, following the 9:30 a.m. Chapel service, as they

will be performing their Thanksgiving play. The children have been

working very hard to prepare for this special event.

What a great start to the holiday break! You won’t want to miss it!

Each of the following students in 4th – 8th grade were recognized in Chapel on

Wed., Oct. 31st, for academic achievement in the first quarter. They received the appropriate certificates as well as a Winners’ Circle Card.

High Honor Roll students must have a grade of 90 and above in all subjects. Honor Roll students must have a grade of 80 and above in all subjects.

REMINDER: Thanksgiving break will be Wed., Nov. 21st to Fri., Nov. 23rd.

There will be NO SCHOOL and NO CARE on campus at this time. Classes resume on Mon., Nov. 26TH.

Each Wednesday an offering is collected

during chapel. This second quarter our offerings will be donated to the LCC Comfort

Dogs. These dogs are specially trained golden retrievers who travel with their

handlers to communities impacted in all

manners of situations, suffering and trauma. Gloria Dei will be blessed with a visit in the

future from comfort dog Peace, who is stationed in Orlando. Please keep this loving ministry in your hearts and prayers. Thank you!

Thanksgiving Break Clipping! Did you know you can find Box Tops on many of the brands you use to make Thanksgiving dinner, from potatoes to crescent rolls? Remember to clip those Box Tops and turn them in to school. They

really add up! Thanksgiving is also a great time to collect extra Box Tops from family and friends as you gather for the holiday weekend. For a list of participating products, go to BTFE.com. Keep sending in those Box Tops!

Gloria Dei has gift cards for sale. Who doesn’t love picking out their own gifts? By giving a scrip gift card to someone you love this holiday, or anytime, they can do just that. Please pick up an order form in the Church office and turn in your completed scrip order form with payment. If completed by noon on Monday the cards will be available for pick up by noon on Friday. We also have a few cards on hand for same day purchasing. So before you start out for some shopping – come see us! All proceeds benefit Gloria Dei.

Thanks to our school families, staff and members of Gloria Dei

Lutheran Church for their hospitality last week so all families were

able to enjoy the Preschool Open House and Trunk or Treat.
