BACKGROUND
SMS Mevac is responsible for secondary metallurgywithin SMS Siemag AG, a leading global specialistin steelmaking plants and rolling mill technologies.Our plants fully meet the requirements of all steelproducers worldwide.
The term “Mevac” in our company name is derivedfrom two sources: Standard Messo, founded in1960, and Vacmetal, founded in 1969, both providingpioneering solutions for secondary metallurgicalprocesses. They merged to form Mevac in 1999.

Our target is to deliver outstanding solutions insecondary metallurgy, adding substantial value toyour steel.
