Since its inauguration in 2013, the Oyster World Rally has become an experience that many of the Oyster family aspire to. Our third world rally sets sail from Antigua on 12th January 2022 and returns to the start point in April 2023. A round trip of 27,000 miles, you will be cruising in the best of company – with fellow owners in the Oyster fleet.

If you are a dedicated sailor or one who would just enjoy the thrill of a circumnavigation, this is a chance to test your skills and take them to another level. Or, if you prefer, you can enjoy the trip and learn from your professional crew, who will be with you all the way. Whatever your position you will experience the most stunning remote locations and make new friends for life. And our dedicated support team will be there for you every step of the way.

Circumnavigating the globe is every sailor’s dream - the voyage of a lifetime. Few achieve it and of those that do, many are Oyster owners.

I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. It’s absolutely a once in a lifetime opportunity and experience.O Y S T E R 5 7 5 T I A N E L L E 2 0 1 7- 2 0 1 9 O Y S T E R W O R L D R A L LY

Little can truly prepare you for the whole experience: the sights and sounds of some of the most beautiful and remote locations in the world. Covering 27,000 miles, it’s a trip most people only dream of taking.

The Oyster World Rally routes through the world’s most beautiful sailing grounds. Free cruising from the Caribbean to Panama via the San Blas. Panama to Australia via stunning island groups in the Pacific. Australia through just a few of the

17,500 Indonesian islands to Bali. On through the Indian Ocean to South Africa via stunning Cocos Keeling, Mauritius and Reunion. Christmas in Cape Town. South Africa to Brazil via St. Helena. Brazil to the Caribbean for a leisurely finish to Antigua.

Galapagos Islands Pacific Ocean Renowned for the variety of unique species studied by Charles Darwin on the second voyage of HMS Beagle, the Galapagos is always a favourite stop off for the Oyster World Rally. This is the perfect opportunity to explore the National Park and Marine Reserve at your own pace, and meet the world’s largest tortoises.

Komodo and Rinca Indonesia The Komodo National Park has 29 volcanic islands – we stop off at two of them. It’s also home to approximately 2,500 Komodo Dragons. You can trek in the park to see the dragons through diverse landscapes including mountains, tropical rainforests, grass-woodland savannah and white sand beaches. Recognised as a global conservation priority area, it’s a nature enthusiast’s dream with a wide range of flora and fauna on land and a rich, undisturbed marine environment to explore.

Tuamotos Islands French Polynesia Every diver’s dream, the breathtaking Tuamotos stretches across the largest chain of atolls in the world. Here you’ll experience some of the planet’s richest and most pristine marine life. For non-divers, check yourself in to the famous over-water bungalows of Bora Bora and enjoy the spectacle from above.

Reunion Indian Ocean Reunion is a scenically magical island, with abundant forests and peaks for climbing/trekking. A destination for lovers of the outdoors – hiking, paragliding, canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, diving etc. It’s most iconic landmark is Piton de la Fournaise, a climbable active volcano standing 2,632m (8,635ft).

O U R F A V O U R I T E S P O T S :

Cocos Keeling Indian Ocean Immerse yourself in phenomenal coral reefs in the heart of the Indian Ocean, and the Cocos Malay culture.

Cape Town South Africa A one-off mixing pot of cultures, cuisine, wine, landscapes and whale-watching with the backdrop of Table Mountain.

St Helena South Atlantic Meet a 185-year-old tortoise and swim with giant whale sharks on this remote volcanic island, rich in wildlife.

Fernando de Noronha South Atlantic An exclusive island paradise that’s home to a rich variety of seabirds, reptiles, and other rare endemic species.

You will be supported every step of the way by our Technical, Logistics & After Sales teams.

Our Technical Team knows our yachts inside out, with unrivalled expertise in their engineering, electrical and mechanical systems. They are also extremely experienced sailors. Many of them have either skippered or sailed Oysters for many years, giving them professional experience in seamanship, meteorological, oceanographic and geographic knowledge.

Our Logistics Team makes the trip plain sailing when it comes to applying for visas, finding berthing in marinas, organising canal transits, and managing documentation and payments. Along the way, they will organise some great parties in stunning locations where you can catch up with the other yachts and share stories.

Our After Sales Team can supply all the spares, tools, charts, nautical publications and general goods you will need to prepare for your circumnavigation. If you need a spare, we can ship it anywhere in the world; and we will be waiting on the dock when you arrive to help fit it if required.

Your safety, security and enjoyment are paramount, and our teams work closely to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible, from before you set sail to when you arrive back in Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua. At the end of it all, we want you to look back and think “I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!”

Take your time The joy of the Oyster World Rally is that you can set your own pace. Choose how long you want to spend in each location (within the Oyster World Rally schedule) and do as much or as little as you like. You might want to start the day with a swim and then take a gentle cruise to the next private anchorage. Whatever you decide, you are in complete control.

Get closer to nature You will get to visit places that are only accessible by boat – when we say ‘off the beaten track’, we are not kidding. The ocean is teeming with life and you will meet it in all shapes and sizes, from 8 metre long manta rays to humpback whales and giant turtles. There will be the chance to hike through jungles, climb mountains and discover impressive hidden waterfalls. And you will see some of the most spectacular sunrises, sunsets and starscapes imaginable.

Change your worldview Perhaps the most unexpected part of the Oyster World Rally is the way the experience teaches you about yourself and changes how you see the world. There is no doubt it will get you out of your comfort zone. You will learn new skills, challenge yourself and what you think you are capable of. You will also get to meet amazing people from different cultures who will open your mind to new ideas and possibilities.

Friends for life The Oyster family is renowned for bringing together like-minded people from all walks of life, all connected by a deep love of the sea. Owners and crews return from Oyster world rallies having forged lifelong friendships. You will share adventures, parties and gatherings in the most incredible settings. There is reassurance in cruising as a group and you will work as a team, solving problems and making decisions together so you all get the most from your trip.

Discover new cultures and history Wherever you drop anchor or berth, you will get a warm welcome from the many places Oyster has established relationships with on the previous two rallies. As well as shopping in local markets and enjoying the most amazing fresh produce, you can buy from local fishermen at the stern of your boat or, even better, catch your own. You will also learn how to cook using the particular herbs, spices and techniques of each port of call. You can immerse yourself deeper into the communities through visits to local schools and orphanages. It’s a great chance to give something back by gifting writing packs, books and reading glasses to people who will really appreciate them.

The Oyster World Rally is a unique event and, as you would expect, you will have ample opportunity to enjoy some life-changing experiences (as if sailing 27,000 miles isn’t enough on its own!). Based on our experiences you will come back a different person, with a better understanding of yourself, other cultures and the natural world.
