There are 5 Great Truths you should knowabout eternal life.
Eternal life is a free gift!
The Bible says,“…The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(Romans 6: 23).

...to be with God
And because, HEAVEN IS A GIFT,
like any other genuine gift:
IT IS NOT EARNED OR
DESERVED
No amount of:
Personal effort…
Good works or…
Religious deeds…
can earn eternal life.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God:
NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8, 9).
WHY is it that no one can earn his way to heaven?
The reason is quite simple...
MAN
THE PROBLEM IS:
WHAT WE ARE!
MAN IS A SINNER(Man is depraved, not deprived)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
(Romans 3: 23).

What is sin?
All sin is breaking the law of God.
It includes such things as: lying lust cheating deceit anger evil thoughts immoral behaviour and more.
AND BECAUSE OF THIS…
We Are Totally Incapable of Saving OurselvesHelpless – YES! Hopeless –YES!
Yet, this doesn’t stop some from trying.
If you wanted to save yourself by good deeds,
do you know how good you would have to be?
The only standard God could accept is absolute
perfection.
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in
heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5: 48).
With such high standards, we cannot save ourselves.
HOWEVER, IN SPITEOF OUR SIN….
THE SITUATION IS NOT HOPELESS.

GOD IS MERCIFUL
The Bible reveals that God doesn’t want to punish us. He is a God of Love
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten (unique)Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).
But the same Bible tells us that God is Light….
The Bible Says...GOD IS JUST!
and therefore must punish sin.He says...
“… the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ezekiel 18: 4).
WE HAVE A BIG PROBLEM
God loves us andwants us to be saved
But He is just andmust punish sin.
Thankfully, this is a problem God has already solved.
How?
4 JESUS CHRIST
WHO IS HE?
The Bible tells us clearly that He is the eternal God yet he became a
real man.
...God was manifested in the
flesh... (1 Tim 3:16).
He solved this problem in ...
His life was holy, sinless and pure.
…But why did He come into the world?
Jesus Christ was completely different from you and me …
THE BIBLE SAYS
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
(1 Timothy 1: 15).
He rose from the dead and now offers you eternal life
as a free gift.(1 John 5: 13).
Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross and now
offers you eternal life (heaven) as a free gift.
This gift is received by faith...
5 FAITH
IS THE KEY THAT OPENS THE DOOR TO HEAVEN.
Many people mistake 2 things for saving faith:
Saving faith is not mere INTELLECTUAL ASSENT,
like believing certain historical facts.
The Bible says that the devil believes there is one God.
so believing that there is one God is not
saving faith.

2Others think faith is an emergency measure in
times of crisis for financial, family, or physical needs.
But this is temporal faith
Now these are good, and you should trust Christ for
these, but this is not the faith that saves us eternally.
SAVING FAITH
Is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and eternal life.
It means resting upon CHRIST ALONE and on His sacrifice at Calvary to save you.
You give up trusting in yourself or your church or your religion.
“...Believe (trust) on the Lord Jesus Christ; and thou shalt be saved….” (Acts 16: 31).
Nothing else is necessary. Nothing less will do.
You have just read the GREATEST STORY
ever told about the GREATEST OFFER
ever made about the GREATEST PERSON
Who ever lived
JESUS CHRIST.
It’s decision time!
WOULD YOU LIKE TO RECEIVETHE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE?
Because this is such an important matter…
Let’s clarify just what it involves.
It means that you need to:
Away from what you can do to what Christ has done for you
on the cross.
TRANSFER YOUR TRUST
Therefore… by grace you are saved
through faith and that not of your selves, it is the gift of God not of
works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2: 8-9).
When The Lord Jesus died on
the cross He said…‘It is finished’.
ACCEPT CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR…
As many as received Him to them gave He the right to
become the children of God. (John 1: 12).
He says: “Behold I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear My voice, and open
the door, I will come in unto him… (Revelation 3: 20).
RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS LORD
Give Him full control of your life
YOU MUST REPENT
Change your attitude to yourself and your sin.
Be willing to turn from all known sin in your life and turn simply to Him.
Now, if this is what you really want…
YOU CAN GO TO GOD IN PRAYER
Just where you are. You can receive His gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ
- right now.
For with the heart man believeth unto salvation...
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.”(Romans 10: 10, 13).
If you want to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, then call on Him, asking
Him to save you right now.
Here are the prayers of some in the Bible
A Tax Collector:‘God be merciful to me a sinner’. (Luke 18: 13).
A dying criminal:‘Lord remember me when
thou comest into thy kingdom’.
(Luke 23: 42).Peter – A fisherman
‘Lord save me’. (Matthew 14: 30).
The Lord Jesus said, Ye must be
born again (John 3: 7).
YOUR SPIRITUAL BIRTHDAY
Is a day you will want to remember!
To receive eternal life is to be born again.
When you were born your name was recorded somewhere on
earth.
When you are born again you name is recorded in heaven.
WHAT ABOUT YOUR SPIRITUAL BIRTHDAY?
Jesus told His disciples – “Rejoice because your
names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10: 20).
Remember!Whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10: 13).
Having regular fellowship with other Christians is
vitally important.
Look for a fellowship of believers that…
If you have trusted Christ as your Saviour … a new life has begun. You are a member of a new family.
Honours the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. (Philippians 2: 5-11).
Believes the Bible is God’s infallible Word and arewilling to submit to it.(2 Timothy 3: 15-16).
Teaches the vital truths of Christianity.
Preaches the gospel of the grace of God - salvation depends solely on what the Lord Jesus did.
Keep company with obedient believers.
Resolve to submit entirely tothe Word of God.
Practices what the Bible Teaches (Acts 2: 41- 42)
'...Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him
shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up
into everlasting life'. - (John 4: 13-14).
Don’t Forget…
…that you are more than a mass of breathing clay. (Genesis 2: 7).
We’re Serious About Your Safety!
Don’t Forget…
…that there is something within you that the undertaker cannot bury. (Ecclesiastes 12: 7).
Don’t Forget…
…that your soul will outlast the mountains which look eternal. (Revelation 6: 14).
Don’t Forget…
…that you will soon live in that eternity which lies before you. (Job 14 2).
Don’t Forget…
…that heaven and hell are eternal realities.(Luke 16: 22,23).
Don’t Forget…Don’t Forget…
…that you must eternally exist in one or the other when your life here ends. (Matthew 7 : 13,14).
Don’t Forget…
…that those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ will be lost…
Forever… (John 8: 21).
Don’t Forget…
…that you will be saved eternally if you come as a guilty sinner and trust Christ as your
personal Saviour. (John 3: 16).
Don’t Procrastinate…
…boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. (Proverbs 27: 1).
Don’t Forget…
…that now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6: 2).
