HISPANIC MINISTRY DEC. 10: Christmas Wish Potluck

I am excited to talk to you about the Lord’s work going on in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. With a population of 25,000, including Irish, Polish, Spanish, Nigerian, and Turkish communities, there is a range of cultures to interact with in one place! In 2016 I went as a summer intern and had an experience that helped deepen my love for God with my heart, mind, and soul and learn how He wants me to love others. I am excited to be going back in a few weeks to work for the next two years.

I will be working with Bert Ritchie and the Artillery Rd. Church of Christ, a congregation of about 40 members. While there, I plan to help develop a youth group, work with Camp Shamrock, help with building maintenance, and do whatever I can to encourage and assist the members of the congregation.

Thank you for your financial support. I ask that you join me in my efforts in Northern Ireland by keeping me in your prayers.

ATTENDANCE REPORT: December 3, 2017

The Christmas Season is “A Season of Giving.” All too often, this season becomes all about consuming. Here are a few ways you and your family can serve others this Christmas.

Take baked goods to shut-ins. Spend family time together baking treats and sing a Christmas Carol when you deliver them.

Donate gently used items. If you or your child receive new clothes or toys, consider donating your gently used items to a homeless shelter, orphanage, or struggling family.

Fast for a meal. Give up a meal to spend time praying for the poor, hungry and spiritually lost.

Rake your neighbor’s yard. Nobody says no to that offer!

Share a meal. Invite someone to your Christmas dinner who will otherwise be alone during the holidays.

Volunteer. Serve at a shelter, food bank, a toy drive, etc.

Secret Santa. Choose someone to whom your family can anonymously give presents. Allow your children to drop off the gifts, knock on the door, and run away. They’ll love the game of secrecy.

At a time when consumerism is so prevalent, seize the opportunity to serve and bless others as a family. May the love of Christ be evident through you as you serve!
