-CEEL-The Virtual
Edition
A guide to online resources, activities
and experiences
Greetings CEEL Families!
Words cannot begin to express how much you and your children are missed by CEEL supervisors, staff, teachers and community partners. As we countdown the days until we can be together again, we wanted to share some ways you can simulate a CEEL experience from the comfort of your own home.
This collection of virtual experiences and activities has been curated by CEEL supervisors to reflect the varied interests of all of our students. We hope it will take some of the guesswork out of finding quality websites and help you avoid going down the proverbial internet rabbit hole while searching for engaging activities for your children.
The links within are active as of the date of publication. Activities and websites were vetted by the supervisors to reflect our guidelines for quality extended learning activities and, of course, FUN! Please preview the links and activities first and use your best judgment before sharing with your child.
We hope to be together again soon.
Best,
Shannon MessickCommunity Education Coordinator

Our COMMUNITY PARTNERS ROCK!
Hi CEEL Friends! We miss you so much, but we are happy you are home safe with your families. We included a link to some fun activities you can do to pass the time. If you have been with us in the past, remember that you can build forts, practice your knot tying skills and observe nature. If you don't have an outdoor space, you could build blanket forts and put a bird feeder outside of your window. Your imagination is a powerful thing and when used correctly you will never be bored! We can't wait to see you next year at CEEL, Your friends at Millbrook Marsh
From our friends at Lincoln Caverns: We sincerely hope that CEEL families will subscribe to our YouTube channel and enjoy learning about
caves! Topics include Caves Rock, Crazy About Caves, Troglo Who?, Rocks Rock and Fossil Fanatics with more on the way such as Batty About Bats,
WOW - Wonders of Water and Cave Conscious.
Instructions for accompanying activities and our Activity Booklet are available by signing up for our Teacher's Area on our website; CEEL
parents can simply type in 'CEEL' when it asks for a school.
We hope you’ll join us this summer at Lincoln Caverns for some great family events!
Penn State engineering students bring STEM presentations and activities to our CEEL students.
Since they can’t be in the schools, they have started a YouTube channel with activities for students to do at
home! We hope you enjoy the activities. Be sure to subscribe as they plan to add more now that the
Penn State semester has ended.
Everyone at Discovery Space misses spending afternoons doing science and engineering with you all! One of the highlights of the day is seeing what we can design and build together. We hope our growing list of activities for 'Discover at Home' will keep your bright minds in action. Enjoy!
