What is Key Club?
Key Club is the world’s oldest and largest high
school service program for students. It’s a
student-led organization that teaches
leadership through the service of others.
Being a club driven by students with a passion
for students, there have been some notable
members of the club, such as Bill Clinton and
Elvis Presley, among others. The great thing
about Key Club is that it doesn’t stop at the
school level; it goes on to district, state, and
even international levels, so your service can
be felt throughout the world! Key Club has
approximately 260,0000 members in
approximately 5,000 clubs and is represented
in 31 countries. Joining Key Club
allows you to help yourself grow
as well as the people around
you. Come to our annual kickoff
meeting on Monday, September
21.
WHY WE DO IT
The objects of Key Club are as follows:
To develop initiative and leadership.
To provide experience in living and working
together.
To serve the school and community.
To cooperate with the school principal.
To prepare for useful citizenship.
To promote the adoption and application of higher
standards in scholarship, sportsmanship and social
contacts.
To develop, by precept and example, a more
intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
To provide a practical means to form enduring
friendships, to render unselfish service and to build
better communities.
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that
sound public opinion and high
idealism which makes possible the
increase of righteousness, justice,
patriotism and good will.
GET INVOLVED!
Each Key Club belongs to a division and many divisions make up a district.
Each club and district is led by a student board of directors and an
International Board of Trustees comprised of Key Club members.
1. General members serve their schools, homes, and communities
and are the driving force behind Key Club.
2. Club officers run their own school clubs and serve as a liaison
between their club and their lieutenant governor.
3. Lieutenant governors serve as a liaison between the district and
club levels and are essential to running their own districts along
with the district executive board and the district governor.
4. District executives assist their district governor in running their
district.
5. District governors run their district and work with the international
trustee assigned to them to relay information to the international
board.
6. International Trustees serve as liaisons between district and inter-
national levels as well as helping to run Key Club International.
7. International Vice President assists the
International President in running Key Club
International with the assistance of the
Trustees.
8. International President runs Key Club
International with the assistance of all of the
levels listed above.

FALL RALLY
It’s that time of year most Key Clubbers look forward to
each service year! As the school year approaches, so
does Fall Rally! This year we will celebrate service with Dr.
Seuss through Oh, the Service You Can Do! What’s more
exciting than getting together with 3,000 passionate Key
Clubbers at Six Flags Great Adventure for a day full of
rides, information, and memories? At Fall Rally, you will
have your first opportunity to meet the new district board,
hear about the latest district information, and celebrate
the beginning of a service year with thousands of other
key clubbers. This year, we are going to be collecting
light-weight non-perishable food items to donate to the
District Project, The New Jersey Federation of Food Banks.
It’s going to be a day to remember!
