MEET THE CAST & CREW Katharine Bergman (Ensemble) is happy to be a part of her first ICCT show. A native of Cedar Rapids, she recently graduated from Luther College with a B.A. in Music Education and Theater. Katharine has taken part in multiple community theaters and opera around Iowa including Theatre Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids Opera, New Minowa Players, Luther College Opera and Starlighters II in Anamosa. Some of her favorite roles have been Emily Arden (State Fair), Jo March (Little Women) and Olga Kromow (The Merry Widow). In addition, Katharine enjoys playing the harp and with her cat.

Trista Carlson-Kimmel (Purity) is the culmination of all things wonderful. She is best described as a shy, reserved woman, always speaking in hushed tones. No, but for real: Trista is a licensed massage therapist at TCK Clinical Shiatsu (owner) by evening, and a faculty member at Southeast Junior High by day, she loves singing and dancing the nights away. Trista would like to thank her supportive husband Jonathan Kimmel for putting up with her many extracurricular endeavors.

John Crosheck (Elisha Whitney) received a degree in secondary math education from St. Ambrose University in 1991. Unlike his character Elisha, John is NOT a billionaire tycoon but has enjoyed getting to experience that lifestyle during rehearsal -- did you say that was real money, Evan? John is planning a post-show trip to Jamaica and figured a little bit won't be missed. During his spare time, John sings with The Quire and serves on the Board of Directors for Dreamwell Theatre!

Dustin Davis (Billy Crocker) is thrilled to be making his debut at ICCT! Local Credits include Theatre Cedar Rapids: Gaston (Disney's Beauty and the Beast), Cinderella's Prince (Into the Woods), City Circle Acting Company: Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd in Concert), Edward Rutledge (1776), Cedar County Stoplight Players: Harold Hill (The Music Man in Concert). Thank you to the cast, crew, Evan, Josh and Wes, and to the people of Iowa City for continuing to support local arts.

Yet it was at ICCT that she got her start (Godspell -Johanna), (A Little Night Music-Anne), and it’s also where she met her husband. Recently, Mia performed with City Circle (Sweeney Todd -Mrs. Lovett), (Fiddler -Fruma Sarah) and with Nolte Academy (Rock of Ages -Justice), (School of Rock -music director). Mia joins her Mom and niece on stage for this production of Anything Goes. Thanks for supporting local community theatre! www.miasings.com

Back in Chicago, where she is originally from, Anna was very active in her high school theater including roles as Patty Simcox (Grease), and in two productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream as Hermia and Titania. Wes Habley (Music Director) Anything Goes marks the 30th area production in which Wes has been involved as a pit musician or music director. He marvels at the amazing talent and the energy of the cast as well as the creative collaboration with Evan, Joshua, and Payton. As always, Wes thanks his wife Katherine who for more than 40 years has been Oh, So Easy to Love.

Angela’s first onstage appearance was in 2016’s Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, with follow-up performances in Nolte’s Rock of Ages, City Circle’s Fiddler on the Roof, and the TCR Underground. Angela is incredibly thankful for her large and extended family of theatre folk who keep her socializing, singing karaoke, and volunteering non-stop. She dreams that one day she will become a Disney star. Lovella would like to add that she has enjoyed working with the whole cast of Anything Goes, including her aunt Mia and Gramma. Since he was named for a pirate --- GCH Emerald Garden Le Corsaire --- Brendan imagines himself a Pirate King in disguise. Given the characters in this musical -- why not? In everyday life, Brendan lives at Bravo Papillons --- Yes! Cheeky really does live with Mrs. Harcourt!

DIRECTOR’S NOTE Thank you for joining us on the maiden voyage of the SS American! From day one to final curtain, from New York to the Port of England, our team has had the privilege of working with some of the best performers and volunteers in Iowa’s Creative Corridor. We are so grateful!

Anything Goes is a classic from the Golden Era of Broad-way. Cole Porter’s de-lovely score and P.G. Wodehouse’s lively book satirize the wealthy socialites of 1930s America who turn out to be every bit as foolish, hypocritical, and sanctimonious as the people at whom they look down their nose. This show plays on so-cial norms and mores that modern audiences justly find outdated and offensive — no production of Anything Goes stands on moral high-ground. Nevertheless, maybe the great shows of the past have stories worth telling. And perhaps this story has the power to echo who we were and encourage us to imagine more universal stories for our future.

Thank you for joining us on this zany, gaga, gasser of a journey. Bon voyage!

Proceeds from ticket sales provide less than half of the operating budget of ICCT. We are a non-profit organization and can always use your help! Your contribution is tax-deductible (minus the value of tickets) and helps to keep our ticket prices low to improve accessibility to the general community. In this way, we can help people come together to celebrate the excitement of live theatre. You may send a check or money order payable to Iowa City Community Theatre, or donate with your credit card num-ber on our website.

Send checks or money orders to ICCT at :

You can become a member of the ICCT family for a fee of $10/yr., which gives you voting rights at our meetings, newsletters and other mailings, and advance information about shows and events related to the ICCT.

We can help your business get broader exposure in Iowa City and Johnson County. This is usually done by advertising in our playbills, but can also be by sponsorship of shows, elements of shows, or specific actors.

We are always in need of new and interested individuals for help at the community theatre in a number of different capacities: acting, directing, back stage, and at the front of the house. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at [email protected].

If you have talents to share, wish to purchase tickets or sponsor a show, please contact the Box Office.
