Without the sunnah of prophet Muhammad PBUH, a Muslim cannot follow Islam, he cannot follow

Quran because Allah Himself in Quran says to follow Prophet Muhammad PBUH:

Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If you love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you andforgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (3:31)

Say: Obey Allah and the messenger. But if they turn away, Allah loves not the disbelievers(in His guidance). (3:32)

And obey Allah and the messenger, that you may find mercy. (3:132)

you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the messenger and those of you who are in

authority; and if you have a dispute concerning any matter, refer it to Allah and themessenger if you are (in truth) believers in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and moreseemly in the end. (4:59)

Obey Allah and obey the messenger, and beware! But if you turn away, then know that theduty of Our messenger is only plain conveyance (of the message). (5:92)

They ask you (O Muhammad) of the spoils of war. Say: The spoils of war belong to Allah andthe messenger, so keep your duty to Allah, and adjust the matter of your difference, andobey Allah and His messenger, if you are (true) believers. (8:1)

you who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger, and turn not away from him when youhear (him speak). (8:20)

you who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calls you to that which revivesyou, and knowthat Allah comes in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is toWhom you will be gathered. (8:24)

And obey Allah and His messenger, and dispute not one with another lest you falter andyour strength depart from you; but be steadfast! Allah is with the steadfast. (8:46)

And the believers, men and women, are protecting friends one of another; they enjoin theright and forbid the wrong, and they establish worship and they pay the poor-due, and theyobey Allah and His messenger. As for these, Allah will have mercy on them. Allah is Mighty,Wise. (9:71)

Say: Obey Allah and obey the messenger. But if you turn away, then (it is) for him (to do)only that with which he has been charged, and for you (to do) only that with which you

have been charged. If you obey him, you will go aright. But the messenger has no otherduty than to convey (the message) plainly. (24:54)

And stay in your houses. Ornament not yourselves with the ornaments of the Time ofIgnorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poordue, and obey Allah and His messenger.Allahs wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O people of the Household, andcleanse you with a thorough cleansing. (33:33)

you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the messenger, and do not render your actions vain.(47:33)

The wandering Arabs say: We believe. Say (to them, O Muhammad): You believe not, butrather say We submit, for the faith has not yet entered into your hearts. Yet, if you obeyAllah and His messenger, He will not withhold from you anything of (the reward of) your

deeds. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (49:14)

Obey Allah and obey His messenger; but if you turn away, then the duty of Our messengeris only to convey (the message) plainly. (64:12)

Besides that, Quran says offer 5 times salaah and does not say how to offer salaah and in whatperiods of the day to offer it but tells us to refer to Muhammad PBUH. So if we want to know how tooffer Salaah and when to offer it, we see Muhammad PBUH. Quran says perform Hajj, but how we doit? Quran says refer to Muhammad PBUH, so if we want to know details about Hajj, we refer toMuhammad PBUH. And so onSo, without referring to Sunnah, a Muslim cannot offer Salaah, he

    cannot perform Hajj and etc.
