featured employee, Carmen Kinkle! She is thelead caregiver in Villa C, and has been a part ofour Villas family for the last 2-1/2 years.Carmen says that she enjoys devoting her time,and she loves to make a difference with ourresidents. She says that she can’t even imaginedoing anything else!
Carmen was born in Mexico and has fourchildren. When Carmen has a little time toherself, you will probably find a book in herhand because she loves to read.

Getting to Know Our Fabulous NeighborsBefore Patricia Pike made her way to Tucson,
Arizona, she grew up in West Virginia. There she madefriends and memories while attending school atWebster Springs High.
Patricia’s professional experience includes working ata candy store during her younger days. Later on, she gota job as a customer service caller.
Arts & crafts, as well as travel, are among a fewfavorite hobbies that Patricia has enjoyed throughouther life. She has traveled to such places as Japan andAustralia! Another one of her favorite things is hernephew, “Boo.” She says that she just loves himto death!

children’s novel “Little Women” by
Louisa May Alcott is published. The

2013: After 53 hours, Diana Nyad
completes the 110-mile swim from
Cuba to Key West, Fla. The

make the swim without a protective
