– This formed the Salford Technical Institute.

– Renamed to Royal Technical Institute, Salford.• 1958
– 2 parts: Royal College of Advanced Technology and Peel Park Technical College.

– Peel Park Technical College became Salford Technical Institute.• Salford College of Technology (in 1970).• Then University College of Salford (in 1992).
• 1967– Royal College of Advanced Technology changed its name to
University of Salford.

– Both institutes joined together and became the University of Salford as it is today!
