There’s more than one way to arrange your ceremony seating! With the notable slogan

“Pick a seat, not a side”, it shouldn’t matter where your guests sit! If you have the option,

consider having a circle, a spiral, a semi-circle or even just have the chairs facing inward for a

better view! This non-traditional seating arrangement makes for a more intimate ceremony!

The Need for a Wedding Coordinator

A Wedding Coordinator is the most important vendor to hire. Luckily, Recreation Park offers a

partnership with one of our professional coordinators at a very reduced rate, and it may even be

included in your package already. The wedding coordinator will help you in the following ways:

Be your go-to person for questions and oversee every detail

Main contact between other vendors and the venue

Set up all your personal items and pack them up again at the end of the night

Direct guests and ensure your wedding sticks to schedule

Help MC facilitate details such as ceremony processional, grand entrance, toasts

Fix mistakes that arise and give you peace of mind so you can enjoy your special day!

The Need for an MC

Equal to a coordinator in importance, the Emcee or “MC” is entirely responsible for the flow of the

reception. Be sure your DJ is also an MC and if not, hire one! A DJ focuses on mixing music, while

an MC is there for many other reasons:

Facilitate the timeline and keep your guests informed about what’s next

Introduce the grand entrance and the first dances

Coordinate the toasts, bouquet/ garter toss and cake cutting

Encourage everyone to get on the dance floor and have a good time!
