STORY

In 1878, British entrepreneur and adventurer Sir Thomas Lipton purchased coffee plantations in

Ceylon, and seeing a chance for innovation, converted them into tea plantations.

Combined with his existing retail business in Britain, he became the first to integrate production, distribution,

and retail of tea into one operation, bringing readily available high quality tea to the world.

THE MODERN APPROACH

Sir Thomas Lipton valued the authenticity of his products and worked hard to ensure consistency

throughout the supply chain.

Today, Sir Thomas Lipton teas display the same qualities – innovation and passion for producing

ENSURING THE RIGHT BREWING TIMEEach tea is different, and getting the best out of it can depend on the temperature of the water and the time it is brewed – so it’s important to follow the directions provided on the pack.
