THE ULTIMATE MARKETING TOOLBOX
1. Use Evernote to Remember Everything Evernote wants to become “the workspace for your life’s work.” If you’re not already familiar with the service, it is basically an online notebook that can collect and organize pretty much anything. I use Evernote as my virtual Riling cabinet, in conjunction with Google Drive (which I’ll cover later on).
The best part of Evernote is that it syncs across all devices. I can type up a note on my phone and then have it instantly available on my laptop. Oh, and everything is searchable.

2. Organize Your Tasks with Todoist Are you still using sticky notes or scraps of paper for your to-‐do list? It’s time to upgrade to something more Ritting for the 21st century. I’ve used tons of to-‐do list apps over the past several years, but nothing works better than Todoist. This is my default “inbox” for jotting down the things I need to do.
What makes Todoist special is that it is fully compatible with a productivity framework such as Getting Things Done, and it also syncs across multiple devices.

3. Manage Your Marke'ng Team with Asana Asana is a task and project management system that was created by one of the co-‐founders of Facebook. For a marketing agency, it serves as the perfect tool for managing small or medium-‐sized teams.
What makes Asana so great is that it reduces the need to send emails back-‐and-‐fourth when working on a project. You can get the majority of your work done within Asana’s workspace. It also seamlessly integrates with a whole bunch of services, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, and others.

4. Stay Up on Industry News with Feedly As marketers, we need to keep up with the latest trends and industry news. For that, I turn to Feedly, which is basically Google Reader for the modern world. Feedly is an RSS reader and so much more. It allows you to follow your favorite blogs and stay updated with each new article they publish.
Every morning, I start the day by scanning through Feedly to see what’s new. Browsing through articles also allows me to Rind some great content to share with my audience and I get plenty of good ideas for blog posts out of it as well.

5. Keep Your Files in Sync with Google Drive These days, you pretty much have to use cloud storage at some point if you’re running a business or working on a team. While there are several good options out there, my favorite cloud storage platform right now is Google Drive.
Google Drive does exactly what you need it to do, without any hassle. There are plenty of integrations for Google Drive as well. I use it with docs, sheets, and slides all the time, especially when collaborating with others.
If you’re looking for a simple Rile syncing solution, look no further than Google Drive.

6. Read it Later with Pocket Have you ever wanted to read a particular article online, but you just didn’t have the time? Pocket is a cloud-‐based bookmarking tool that allows you to “pocket” any webpage so that you can read it later. In fact, “Read It Later” was what the product used to be called before they rebranded as Pocket.
I use Pocket religiously. It works with Feedly, Evernote, Google Chrome, and dozens of others apps. I’m always saving stuff for later and then once a week (usually on Sunday) I make sure to go through Pocket and clear everything out.

7. Minimize Email Overload with Slack Slack is the new kid on the block when it comes to team communication. Many other platforms have come before, such as Yammer, HipChat, and Flowdock. None of those platforms come close to the success of Slack.
Especially if you’re working with remote team members, Slack can help bring everything together in one central location.

8. Create an Epic Site with WordPress WordPress is just awesome. I seriously wouldn’t know what to do without it. If you’re not already using WordPress to build or maintain your website, you’re missing out.
While it started out primarily as a blogging platform, WordPress has evolved into the best self-‐hosted website framework available today. It’s the perfect solution for setting up a website, regardless of the scope of your project.

9. Op'mize Your Site with Genesis Framework Genesis is a super-‐theme of sorts (also known as a framework), that lives on top of a WordPress website. You’re going to need to have already installed WordPress in order to install Genesis, so make sure you take care of that Rirst.
Earnworthy is built upon Genesis, as is my personal website. It’s speedy, secure, and SEO optimized right out of the box, so I highly recommend you check it out. While not free, if you take your website seriously, Genesis is well worth the investment.

10. Host Your Site with Synthesis Earnworthy is currently hosted at Systhesis, which is a hosting platform specializing in supporting Genesis websites. I have never had a major issue with them since day one, and their customer support is excellent.
Sure, you can Rind cheaper hosting options, but that’s not always the smartest idea. If you want cheap hosting, Google it. If you want hosting that won’t let you or your site down, check out Systhesis. It’s run by the same folks behind Genesis.

11. Collect More Leads with LeadPages There are a lot of landing page and lead generation services popping up these days, but one of the original players in this space and my personal favorite is LeadPages.
I use LeadPages to easily create mobile responsive landing pages, sales pages, popover boxes, and more. And if I really want to get fancy, I can even A/B test various pages and elements. For maximizing conversions, LeadPages is a must-‐have tool in your bag of tricks.

12. Build, Publish, and Test Landing Pages with Unbounce Another outstanding landing page creation tool I use is called Unbounce. You might wonder how this is any different from LeadPages, and whether you need both. For most folks, you can choose one or the other and be perfectly happy.
However, if you’re doing very advanced A/B testing, or you need some serious Rlexibility with the look and feel of your pages, Unbounce is the way to go.
They have a drag-‐and-‐drop landing page builder that is as easy to use as it sounds. And yes, the pages are mobile responsive.

13. Rank Higher on Google with Yoast Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a tremendously important part of marketing, but it is also one of the trickiest parts, because search algorithms are constantly changing.
To be productive with your SEO, you need to have a tool that is backed by true experts, and the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress is the one I recommend. Yoast also provides some great educational resources on the latest SEO best practices, so check them out.

14. Find the Perfect Name with Lean Domain Search Finding the right domain name doesn't have to be tedious. There are still plenty of good names out there if you know where to look.
The tool I use to Rind these names and check their availability is Lean Domain Search, which is a snappy domain name search engine (and so much more).
Just type in a keyword and it will instantly return some available domains. Lean Domain Search was acquired by Automattic, the same company behind WordPress, so it will only get better with time.

From simple edits such as cropping and resizing, to more advanced features such as adding custom Rilters or text, you can do it all with PicMonkey. I use it all the time to edit my blog post images and social media content.

16. Find Quality Stock Images with Dollar Photo Club Speaking of images, as a marketing professional, you’re going to need access to a large database of stock photography. The best source that I’ve found so far is Dollar Photo Club, where every image is just $1.
With over 26 million images in their library at the time of this writing, you’ll Rind something for every occasion. I use their images for many of my blog posts, to give them that little extra spark.

20. Generate More Conversions with Op'nMonster If I had to pick just one WordPress plugin that has made the biggest impact on my overall blogging business, it would have to be OptinMonster. This all-‐in-‐one lead generation tool allows you to create attention grabbing opt-‐in forms that actually convert.
I use OptinMonster to create compelling popover graphics, sidebar calls-‐to-‐action and more. You can choose from plenty of different styles and customize them until they are just right. If you’re trying to build your email list, OptinMonster can certainly help.

Popover messages show up with a special offer at the exact moment a visitor is about to leave your site, right down to the millisecond.
If you’re familiar with Bounce Exchange, this is a much more affordable option, that is easy to install and looks great! Check it out if you’re tired of people leaving your site without taking any action.

22. Schedule Your Social Content with Buffer If you post frequently on social sites, then you’re going to love Buffer. This is essentially a really smart social media scheduling tool that allows you to add content to your “queue” that can be sent out at a later date.
Buffer currently works with Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. I use it all the time, because I don’t want to overload my fans and followers with too much content all at once. And when it comes to customer service, Buffer is the best of the best.

23. Set up a Social Listening Sta'on with Hootsuite There are many all-‐in-‐one social media management tools, but Hootsuite takes the cake. If you’re a social media manager, then you already know just how powerful Hootsuite can be in helping you manage multiple channels.
From keeping up with customer inquiries to monitoring speciRic hashtags, Hootsuite does it all. The only feature I don’t regularly use is the scheduling tool, because Buffer does it better. But other than that, I love Hootsuite, because it allows me to stay on top of all my social media content all from one single dashboard.

25. Monitor Important Keywords with Google Alerts Google Alerts allow you to monitor the web for interesting new content from a variety of sources. At a minimum, I strongly recommend that you set one up for your name and for your brand, company, or organization.
Alerts take just a few minutes to set up properly, and once they’re running, you can just forget about them. Based on your preferences, Google will either email you new alerts as they happen, or on a daily or weekly basis.
