What is digital health? Digital health refers to the application of information and
communications technologies to improve health. Categories:
Mobile health and Telemedicine Patient engagement using mobile alerts on medication and
communication with physician EMR and mobile apps to support post-discharge services such as
medication adherence, education, patient follow-up New business models (HIE, ACO, Care Transitions, Homes) Comparative Effectiveness/Appropriateness research Genomics, metabolomics, proteomics (function, structure and
interaction of genes, proteins, etc.) Social media in medicine and the Quality/privacy issues Business intelligence in healthcare and big data analytics

The CITI-DHC initiative will be an educational and R/D consortium at the University of Colorado Denver Business School for offering basic and applied research and outreach to
generate digital health solutions for our members. establishing educational curriculum that integrates
entrepreneurship, healthcare, and digital technologies developing the next generation of digital health
platforms and validating their clinical functionality and value
Members include entrepreneurs, service providers, health providers, researchers, educators, industry, investors and other digital health innovation stakeholders 4
