THE TURNER T IMES
Legionnaires,
I am honored to have been elected as your new Commander. I look forward to another successful year and hope to see everyone at the post. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions or just want to chat, please reach out to me, I’m here for you! I would also like to congratulate all the newly elected officers and look forward to working with each of them on another successful year.
I want to thank everyone for all their support in making our Installation of Offic-ers, a success this year. I especially want to thank the Auxiliary and SAL for helping pull it all together. We installed your new officers for 2019-2020: Commander, Marcelo Teixeira; 1st Vice, Rebecca Stoll; 2nd Vice, Ed Kenealy; 3rd Vice, Marty O’Brien; Adju-tant, Floyd Machiela; Sgt. at Arms, Ed Siebold; Judge Advocate, Howard Moore; Public Affairs Officer, Pat McAleer. Please join me in congratulating each of them!
We still have some vacancies to fill. If you are interested in volunteering, we are looking for Finance Officer, Historian (Archives, etc.) Service officer and Chaplain. Please contact me or our 1st Vice, Rebecca Stoll.
I understand the task ahead will be demanding and I accept these challenges and know that I have a great group of officers and Executive Committee Members to help me. Thank you for your continued support and making our post amazing where, All Vet-erans, Family and Friends are welcomed and can enjoy each other’s company.
In Closing, I want to thank our Past Commander, Mike Lowman, for his two years of service. During his leadership the post has achieved amazing things and made some great improvements. Mike Thank you and we hope to see you around the post!
Yours in Service
Marcelo Teixeira Commander, Post 276

First Vice Commander
Greeting Legionnaires,
Welcome to our new Commander, Marcelo!
The new membership year is almost upon us. We have received the 2020 membership cards and as soon as the system for next year opens up we will be able to start processing membership and get your membership card out to you.
We finished the 2019 year at 93% or 594 renewals. A good ending but here’s hoping for 100% in 2020.
I hope you enjoyed the Member Appreciation Barbeque held in May. Marcelo and his crew did an excellent job and if you left the Post hungry shame on you!
If you know of anyone eligible to become a member, bring them into the Post and show them around. And if you have any membership questions please let me know.
From SAL 1st Vice
2020 Dues notices are now being sent out. Expect yours in the mail soon and please return it with you pay-ment as soon as possible. Thank you!
