 The Truth Behind Fever Every individual occasionally suffers from fever problems. As a matter of fact, it sometimes happens every time they are exposed to certain infection, other disease causing bacteria or even to stress. As you observe, people acquire fever because of many modifiable risk factors that can trigger your body’s immune response. In this article you will know what are these risk factors that triggers a fever reaction and how can it be managed. To give you a clear picture of how your  body develops fever is that, once the bacteria enters into the body, your immune system will immediately react to these invaders. Definitely, your immune system, which primary responsibility is to protect your body from diseases, will send substances such as neutrophils to combat the invaders. Eventually, the neutrophils will engulf and digest the injured invaders and releases another substance called pyrogens. When you talk about pyrogens, this is the main substance that will cause fever. Usually, when an individual suffering from high grade fever it can manage in two ways. Take note! Do not rely on medication directly; instead do your own actions to minimize your fever. T he first thing you will do is do this simple technique- tepid sponge bath. You know, tepid sponge bath is proven effective among fever problems. To  perform this procedure, you need to have a face to wel soak in warm to cold water then d irectly apply it to the body of person having fever. Occasionally, apply soak towel onto the forehead then wipe the whole body followed by applying dry cloth. This is the simplest way of controlling the high temperature and proven to be effective. Once you have performed the tepid sponge bath, eventually the temperature subsides. Continuously monitor the temperature until it completely vanished. However, if it does not control by simple tepid sponge bath you can take medications such as acetaminophen like Paracetamol. This drug’s action will directly act on the thermoregulatory cells in your hypothalamus causing vasodilatation and sweating. Afterwards, due to vasodilatation the heat will be release out from your body lowers fever. Therefore, whether it is simple fever or recurrent fever, please don’t take for granted because it may progress to another p roblems in the long run. You mus t act on it immediately.
