Yet you are enthroned as
the Holy One; you are
the one Israel praises.
the people I formed for
myself that they may
proclaim my praise.
Praise the Lord, all you
nations; extol him, all
you peoples.
God is spirit, and his
worshipers must
worship in the Spirit and
in truth.

6 Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. 7 Let the
wicked forsake their ways and the
unrighteous their thoughts. Let them
turn to the Lord, and he will have
mercy on them, and to our God, for he
will freely pardon.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are
higher than the earth, so are my ways
higher than your ways and my thoughts
than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow come
down from heaven, and do not return
to it without watering the earth and
making it bud and flourish, so that it
yields seed for the sower and bread
for the eater,
Through him we received grace and
apostleship to call all the Gentiles to
the obedience that comes
from faith for his name’s sake.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a
kingdom that cannot be shaken, let
us be thankful, and so worship God
acceptably with reverence and
awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming
fire.”
5 Or do you think Scripture says without
reason that he jealously longs for the
spirit he has caused to dwell in us?6 But
he gives us more grace. That is why
Scripture says: “God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from
you.8 Come near to God and he will
come near to you. Wash your
hands, you sinners, and purify your
hearts, you double-minded.
Honor the LORD with your
wealth, with the first fruits of
all your crops;
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and
sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to
offer your bodies as a living
sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—
this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what
God’s will is—his good, pleasing and
perfect will.
They will be life for you, an
ornament to grace your
neck.
1 After these things I heard a loud voice of a
great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia!
Salvation and glory and honor and
power belong to the Lord our God! 2 For true and
righteous are His judgments, because He has
judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth
with her fornication; and He has avenged on
her the blood of His servants shed by her.”
3 Again they said, “Alleluia! Her
smoke rises up forever and ever!”
