THE TRUE BLESSED OF THE FATHER TO WHOM

THE KINGDOM WAS PREPARED:

Text: Matthew 25: 31-46Intro: There are two types of Judgment:1.Bema Judgment2.Great White Throne Judgment•Judgment for rewards

• 2Cr 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things [done] in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

• Judgment for all to determine salvation• Rev 20:14 Then Death and Hades were

cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

• Rev 20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

• Salvation is a gift but works are honourable and thus worthy of rewards.

AIM:•For us to inherit the kingdom prepared for us•For us to be truly blessed as the Bible says, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35I. ALL WILL COME TO JUDGMENT-V 31-32•Whether it’s a judgment for rewards or salvation•Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,•There will be a judgment to separate the sheep from the goats-v 32

• It is only on this judgment that we can truly be separated from each other.

• Psalm1:5 KJV - 5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

• Mal 3:18 Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.

• He will separate the sheep on His right and the goats on His left

• Sheep-Innocent, patient, mild, useful• Goats-unsavoury and unruly• not pleasing in odour or taste; morally

offensive

II. THE JUDGMENT CONCERNING THE GODLY-V 33•Their cause must be first despatched, that they may be assessors with Christ in the judgement of the wicked•Whose misery will be aggravated by their seeing Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, admitted into the kingdom of heaven, Lu. 13:28.• 1Cr 6:2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?•1Cr 6:3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

• The King will say to them, “Come”• He didn’t drive them away but

commanded to come and Inherit the kingdom.

• In other words welcome, well done• You, blessed of my Father• The law curses them for their many

disobediences• But Christ having redeemed them from

the curse of the law, and purchased a blessing for them, commands a blessing on them.

• Salvation is the best blessing of all the blessings.

• Ephesians 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:

• Come to me, come to be for ever with me.• You that followed me bearing the cross,

now come along with Me wearing the crown.

• We now come boldly to the throne of grace, but we shall then come boldly to the throne of glory.

• He told them to inherit the kingdom• Which is reckoned the most valuable

possession on earth, and includes the greatest wealth and honour.

• Those that inherit kingdoms, wear all the glories of the crown

• Enjoy all the pleasures of the court• Command the peculiar treasures of the

provinces• Yet this is but a faint resemblance of the

felicities of the saints in heaven.• This kingdom was prepared by the Father

for the entertainment of the saints.• It is prepared on purpose for them• Not only for such as you, but for you, you

by name, you personally and particularly• Who were chosen to salvation through

sanctification.

• The kingdom was prepared before the foundation of the world

• Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

• The end, which is last in execution, is first in intention.

• They will inherit the kingdom• To receive (property or a title, for

example) from an ancestor by legal succession or will.

III. THE GROUND OR REASON FOR THIS-V 35

•For I was hungry and you gave Me food•I was thirsty and you gave me drink•I was a stranger and you took Me in•I was a naked and you clothed Me•I was sick and you visited Me•I was in prison and you came to MeIV. THEN THE RIGHTEOUS WILL ANSWER HIM-V 37•When did you see you hungry…?•And the King will answer and say to them, Assuredly, I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these

Brethren, you did it to Me.•Anything we do to others, we are doing it to Christ.V. CONCERNING THE WICKED ON THE LEFT- 41•Depart from•You cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels•For I was hungry…•They will also asked when did they see Jesus hungry?•When they did not feed, give a drink… the least of the brethren, they did not do what they ought to do for Christ’s sake•2 Beggars in Luke 16:19-30

• And this will go away into everlasting punishment-v 46

VI. WHICHEVER COMES FIRST• Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne,

and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

• Rev 20:12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

• Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

• Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

• Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

VII. THERE IS BLOTTING OUT OF NAMES IN THE BOOK OF LIFE-REV 3:5•Rev 3:5 "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.•Exd 32:32 "Yet now, if You will forgive their sin--but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written."•Exd 32:33 And the LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

CHALLENGE:•What do you think is prepared for you?•Kingdom of heaven or everlasting fire?•Are you useful or useless?•CONCLUSION:

•Mat 25:34 "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of

My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the

world:
