thou a guard unto them.
IV. The Decision to Invade
(Eze 38:12) To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn
thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst
of the land
A. The financial profit
NOTES
Ever since the end of the Cold War, Russia has been in an absolute financial crisis, and to this day they don’t know what to do about it.
On the other hand Israel has done nothing but to increase in riches.• 1000 mile oil line • more oil is being found• Trillions of dollars worth of minerals in the dead sea
B. To Facilitate
land bridge (control
the Middle East)
C. To be friend the
oil rich Muslims
D. To face off with
the Antichrist
V. The Destruction awaiting the Invaders
A. Destroyed
by Furiousnes
s of God
(Eze 38:18-19) And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the
Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in
my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken,
Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land
of Israel;
B. Destroyed
by a Ferocious
earthquake
(Eze 38:19-20) For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a
great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men
that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown
down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
NOTES
Based on the timeline…1. Rapture2. Peace Treaty 3. Attack of Magog4. 3 ½ years (all the changes)5. Battle of Armageddon
This earthquake will take place in the 1st 3 ½ years of the tribulation
Notices the word “great”
(Rev 6:12) And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great
earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as
blood;
(Rev 11:13) And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were
affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
(Rev 16:18) And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a
great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an
earthquake, and so great.
NOTES
THE UNIVERSAL ALMANAC tells us that..1. 21 earthquakes of major strength
between the years 1000 - 1800. 2. 18 major earthquakes between
1800 and 1900 there were. 3. 33 major quakes, between 1900
and 19504. 93 major earthquakes between
1950 and 1991 There were— almost triple the
number of the previous half century — which claimed the lives of 1.3 million people around the world.
NOTES
This dramatic increase of severe quakes has led many scientists to predict that we are entering a new period of great seismic disturbances.
There have also been increase in the magnitude
There were 25 quakes of 6.0 or greater in 2010 alone
8.8 in Chile which killed 25k
7.0 in Haiti that killed 316K
(Isa 24:18-20) And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and
the foundations of the earth do shake. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and
shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be
heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
C. Destroyed
by a friendly-
fire earthquake
(Eze 38:21) And I will call for a sword against him
throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord
GOD: every man's sword shall be against his
brother.
NOTES
Using a Shofar, Gideon gathered a force of 22,000 Israelites (Judges 6:34-35).
Of that number, God had only three hundred selected (Judges 7:2-7) so that they would know that it was God who delivered them from the vastly larger force that had been troubling them.
And so He did; the 300 Israelites obliterated an army of 120,000 Midianites (Judges 7:19-25, 8:10) and drove the invaders back beyond the Jordan.
D. Destroyed by a flood of trouble
(Eze 38:22) And I will plead against him with
pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands,
and upon the many people that are with him, an
overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire,
and brimstone.
The 2st horse
(Rev 6:3) And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and
see.
(Rev 6:4) And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill
one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
The 4th horse
(Rev 6:7) And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
(Rev 6:8) And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and HIS NAME that sat
on him was DEATH, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto
them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with
hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
A. The 1st
trumpet
(Rev 8:6) And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
(Rev 8:7) The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they
were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was
burnt up.
NOTES
The Bible is very clear that hail is going to fall from the sky. This hail is going to be the size of basketballs , weighing any were from 70 lbs to 130 lbs
(Rev 16:21) And there fell upon men a great hail out
of heaven, every stone about the weight of a
talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail;
for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
B. The 2nd
trumpet
(Rev 8:8-9) And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became
blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third
part of the ships were destroyed..
E. Destroyed by a fire in
the homeland
(Eze 39:6) And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell
carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am
the LORD.
NOTES
Remember 1/3 of the vegetation is burned up with 1st trumpet
Today Russia has the largest natural forest. 47% of the largest land country is trees
Over 8 million square kilometers
VI. The Destruction awaiting the Invaders
A. The devastatio
n will flatten
their army
(Eze 39:2-3) And I will turn thee back, and leave but the
sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from
the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy
bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall
out of thy right hand.
NOTES
There are 2 scenarios with this scriptures 1. The view that God will kill 5/6 of
the invading army that comes upon Israel
2. The second is that God will cause 5/6 of the population to come against Israel and all will die
3. Either way 830k of every million will die
4. If you have 5 million troops, 4.1 will die
The 4th horse
(Rev 6:7) And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
(Rev 6:8) And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and HIS NAME that sat on
him was DEATH, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of
the earth.
B. The devastation brings a
feast
(Eze 39:4-5) Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and
the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the
ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field
to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
(Eze 39:17-20) And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every
feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather
yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of
bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye
be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. Thus ye shall be filled at my
table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord
GOD.
(Rev 19:17-18) And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst
of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the
supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the
flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on
them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small
and great.
C. The devastation brings a full-time
Job
(Eze 39:11-16) And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in
Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and
there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of
them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith
the Lord GOD. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to
bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. And the passengers that
pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. And also the
name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
