The CT certificate will provide technologists with the opportunity to learn Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Technology, to gain practical clinical skills and to be prepared academically to sit for the ARRT CT Registry Examination. CT Certificate completers will enhance their job opportunities and become eligible to work with hybrid imaging systems that include CT such as PET/CT or SPECT/CT. This certificate is appropriate for technologists wishing to enter the field of CT imaging who have no previous CT experience; it allows them to meet the new requirements for ARRT Certification. Technologists who have worked in CT without formal academic training can meet the new requirements for ARRT Certification.

ARRT Registered Technologists (if not currently employed in CT) must:• Complete all didactic courses.• Complete all clinical courses.• Document repetition of specified exams 125 times on the ARRT CT Competency List.• Meet all health and safety requirements for clinical rotations as required by the clinical affiliate site.• Show proof of ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.

CT Technologists who completed on the job training (if currently employed in CT) must:• Complete all didactic courses.• Document repetition of specified exams 125 times on the ARRT CT Competency List.• Provide proof of current continuous employment in CT for 1 year. Employment must be within

the past year prior to applying.• Show proof of ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.

Out-of-State students must locate their Clinical sites, prior to the start of the program. AWC will prepare contracts.

ARRT Registered Technologists currently employed in CT, must complete all didactic courses. Total required credits: 16 In-State Tuition cost: $1,758 Out-of-State Tuition cost: $3,479

Computed Tomography Program Information and Admission Criteria

(Based on the 2015–2016 tuition and fees schedule. The College reserves the right to make changes in the Schedule of Tuition and Fees without notice as they become necessary.)

New graduates can apply for admission in the summer to start in the fall of the current year.Aug-Dec Jan-May May-June Education Coordinator may meet with students each month as
