Parking We expect lots of people to come to the event and recommend you walk or take public transport if you can. All available city centre Council car parking will be free on the day, though charges may apply elsewhere. A rolling road closure will then allow the cyclists to exit the city centre via the A61 at Kirkgate and head out to Barnsley via the A61. This rolling road closure will be controlled by the police and will run from 12.15 until 1pm. Traffic will be allowed to progress onto the route after the peloton has passed and the police deem the road safe to open.
