Blueberry Power Pancakes

In a skillet sauté ingredients 1 and 2. In a pot, add ingredients 3 through 5. Cover, bring to a boil. Add ingredients 6 through 8 to pot. Cover. Simmer for 25 minutes. Remove pot from heat. Partially mash potatoes.

Mushroom & Swiss Turkey Burgers

1/4 lb lean ground turkey1 garlic clove1/2 Tbsp. basil1 serving low-fat Swiss cheeseDash of salt and red pepper flakes1/4 cup mushrooms1/8 cup onions

In a skillet, sauté mushrooms and onions. Mix ingredients 1 through 5, shape into patties. Cook until golden brown. Add vegetables. Serve on a whole wheat bun.

Green Egg Sauté

3 egg whites3 cups of sautéed broccoli and asparagus2 Tbsp. olive oilSalt and pepper to taste

Sauté broccoli and asparagus in olive oil. Plate the veggies. Fry egg whites in the same skillet.

Green Smoothie

2 cups kale1/2 peeled lemon1-inch peeled ginger1 cucumber2 celery stalks1 green apple1/2 cup water1 Tbsp. coconut oil

Blend all ingredients until a smooth consistency is reached.

Salmon Salad

3 oz. salmon1 cup spinachHandful water chestnuts2 Tbsp. scallions1/4 cup Brussels sprouts1 sliced grilled pear

Sauté salmon in a skillet for 10 minutes. Plate with pear. Sauté remaining ingredients for 5 minutes. Dress with rice vinegar.

Vegetable Soup

2 small leeks, white section1 onion; zucchini (each)2 stalks celery12 green beans2 medium carrots6 tomatoes, peeled3 Tbsp. water; olive oil (each)1/2 gallon vegetable broth4 medium garlic cloves30 fresh basil leaves

Dice ingredients 1 through 5. In a pot, add oil, water and diced veggies. Sauté until all water evaporates. Add broth, bring to a boil. Cook at low boil for 30 minutes. Puree tomatoes, basil and garlic in a blender. Add puree to soup.

Pepper Plate

1 orange bell pepper1 yellow bell pepper

Dice peppers and serve on a plate.

Sweet & Salty Crunch Salad

3 cups of snow peasHandful olives1/2 cup cucumber1/2 cup tomato1/2 appleDash of cinnamon

Slice cucumber, apple and tomato. Place in a small bowl. Add snow peas, olives and cinnamon.

Saucy Salmon Salad

Marinate salmon for 30 minutes with ingredients 2 through 5. Steam broccoli, cauliflowerandcarrotsinalargepot.Sautésalmon over medium heat in a skillet for 10 minutes. Plate veggie medley with salmon.

Spicy Chicken Cups

1 sliced onion6 chicken breasts2 cups chicken stock1 tsp. sea salt1/2 tsp. coriander; cumin (each)1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper; black pepper (each)1 cup water2 tsp. garlic powder1/4 lettuce head

Place onion in slow cooker. Add ingredients 2 through 8. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Spoon fillingintolettuceleaves.Servewith cucumber, cilantro and avocado topping.

Blend all ingredients until a smooth consistency is reached.

Shrimp and Veggie Kabobs

Stack serving size of shrimp1 bell pepper1/2 cup onions1 cup Portobello mushrooms

Cut all vegetables into thick chunks. Drizzle olive oil on the shrimp. Grill until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Skewer vegetables and shrimp.

Broiled Fish w/ Warm Eggplant Salad

HOW DO I GET STARTED?Once you’ve decided to participate in TLS Select™, schedule a weight loss consultation with your healthcare provider to get started. During this appointment, they will provide you with additional information about the program. A Menu Plan that suits your weight loss goals and lifestyle will also be chosen during this meeting.

WHAT IS LOW-GI EATING?Low-glycemic-index eating focuses on how different foods affect your blood sugar level. The Glycemic Index measures foods on a 100-point scale. Low-GI foods produce little or no fluctuations in our blood sugar or insulin levels. This is important because when your blood sugar rises quickly, your body increases insulin production, forcing the body into fat accumulation and storage. Controlling the GI of your foods promotes normal blood-sugar levels and enables the body to stay in a fat-burning mode.

AS I LOSE WEIGHT, WILL THE ELASTICITY IN MY SKIN ADAPT TO THE WEIGHT LOSS?When you lose weight as body fat, you maintain the muscle, and over time through exercise most people find that their excess skin will adapt to their new body and tighten up. It is important that you exercise to improve your muscle mass and tone; this helps target body fat loss as well.

IN CONSIDERING TLS SELECT, HOW IMPORTANT IS CALORIE COUNTING?The TLS Select Weight Loss Solution is based on low-glycemic-index eating and portion control, not calorie counting. The TLS Select Weight Loss Solution is based around eating the right kinds of foods to help nourish and fuel your body.
