Construction • The Titanic was built

in Belfast by a company called Harland and Wolff.

• It was built between 1909 and 1911 it took three years to build .

• It was built for a shipping company called white star line.

• It was supposed to be one of the best and biggest boat, of its time.

Facilities on board • The Titanic had the most

luxurious facilities on board it had : three electric elevators, a heated swimming pool , a gymnasium, a Turkish bath a squash court, an authentic Parisian café with French waiters ,a sunlit veranda café with live palm trees and a fully equipped darkroom for amateur photographers to try there skills .

Maiden voyage • The Titanic began

her maiden voyage from Southampton on the 10th April 1912 then went to Cherbourg then queens town to pick up more passengers. The titanic would of ended its journey in New York.

The sinking • The Titanic sank on 15th

April at 2:40 after colliding with and iceberg .

• Some people escaped from the titanic on life boats but many people were left on board

• The most wealthiest onboard were rescued first but the poorest people were left on the titanic.

• There where not enough life boats for the whole ship so may people died.

• Many people died due to women and children first.

The Aftermath • There was sadly

1,517 deaths .• The titanic only

had enough life boats for only 1178 people.

• The disasters was greeted with world wide outrage, at a huge loss of life.
