Viktor Navorski, from Krakozhia, arrives at NY International Airport to collect anautograph of the jazz tenor, only to discover that during the flight there is a civil war
in his country, invalidating his passport and thus leaving him stranded and stateless.
Over the next nine months, Viktor is forced to live in the terminal building, unable
either to set foot into the United States or to go home.
He befriends the staff at the terminal, including flight attendant Amelia Warren, while
being under the watchful eye of Immigration Officer Frank Dixon, who wants the
"Viktor problem" removed from the airport. Somehow, this funny little thinking maninspires everyone who comes in contact with him. This is because no matter how
dire his situation, he clings to the belief that he will eventually walk out those doors
and into America. Nothing stops him. When he hits an obstacle, he simply finds a
way around it.
War in Krakozhia is over, but Dixon will still not allow Viktor to enter the United States
to satisfy his ego. Amelia assist Viktor in obtaining permission to travel within the US,
but Viktor is disappointed to learn she has renewed her relationship with the manduring this process. Thanks to the timely interference of the friends Viktor has made
during his stay in the terminal, he is allowed to leave the airport & collects the
autograph, finally completing his autograph collection.

Critical Incidence
A person traveling to Canada through JFK is caught carrying
medicines for his father. The medicines are not allowed to carry as
per US rules. Dixon wants person to surrender the medicines and
requests Viktor to handle the situation.
February 8, 2011 9
Justification for selecting critical incidence:
1. The incidence reflectsViktors change in personality as he become high MAC.
. This incidence is provoked by two past incidences
(i) Viktor refuses Dixons offer to flee from the airport(ii) to accept fear from his country.
This naturally hurt Dixons ego (who is high MAC) & cannot tolerate he being manipulated by a
low MAC personality like Viktor.
3. The sacrifice of Amelia seems to be much higher than the purpose it is made for. In real life, one
will always look for more realistic option. Hence, the new story seems to be more realistic.

Brief on Teamwork and experience on team coordination
1. We were finding it difficult to meet on weekdays at a common place to see the movie
. Team leader coordinated with team members for meeting and it was decided to see the movietogether at college on Sunday morning.
3. After watching the movie, we started our discussion after one hour. Initially we discussed about the
movie. All team members expressed their views on the movie.
. We unanimously decided that Viktor will be central character whom we will track for different
attributes
5. The real problem came when we wanted to identify the critical moment and twist in the story.
. We could list down 3- critical moment and twist but could not come to a conclusion on the same.
. We met next Sunday again to discuss and after 3 hours of discussion we could conclude on critical
moment and the twist.
. Team leader had divided the work of making presentations among the team members which all
Team member agreed.
. Everybody completed their work and we once again met, discussed and after few iterations, we
concluded.
