TAC L2P Update I hope you are well and trying to remain positive during this difficult period.
Listed below are links to training and educational opportunities available to do whilst we wait to
resume operations.
1. TAC E learning Module Towards Zero - Safe System Approach
The TAC has developed a free E-learning module on Towards Zero and the Safe System
Approach. This resource that will enhance our road safety learning. The module takes approximately
30 minutes to complete, and covers the four elements of the Safe System Approach, being Safer
Roads, Safer Speeds, Safer Vehicles and Safer People.
The module requires an operating system that has flash player 8, so please copy the link below to
enable use on your computer.

2. Hazard perception practice site.
Identifying hazards is an important component of driving safely. The link below directs you to a
website for a hazard perception test containing 42 different hazard identification scenarios. Each test
contains a random set of 7 different scenarios, and is refreshed after each attempt at the test.
The hazard perception test is best completed on a laptop or iPad, however it also works on an
IPhone. Have a try, test your skills!!!

3. Road Rules
Freshen up your knowledge of road rules by using the link below to the Swan Hill Library’s
website that links to the Victorian driver education program. The site contains information including:
1. Road rules tests for the Victorian Learners permit.
2. A learners permit test simulator (test your road rules knowledge)
3. A section on the probationary licence test with assessment criteria and the structure of the test.

Online Gateway and Health Information
SMG Health’s Wellbeing Gateway is the key to better wellbeing. Access to the gateway is available to every member
and provides information on important health issues, including both mental and physical health. We take an integrated
holistic approach to health and provide the content needed to improve wellness and live life to the very fullest.

What do you need to know about the process?
How long are MAP sessions ?
Standard counselling sessions run for fifty minutes and mentors
have access to three sessions per financial year. Mentors will be
advised when their sessions have been utilised.
Who pays for the service ?
The MAP is funded and managed by the Department of Transport
for the TAC L2P Program. The MAP is free to all current mentors of
the TAC L2P Program.
Who are the counsellors ?
SMG Health provide a multi-disciplinary team of highly professional
counsellors who provide practical support.
Where does counselling take place ?

Mentor Assistance Program The Mentor Assistance Program (MAP) is a
free confidential service for current mentors
involved in the TAC L2P Program.
There is access to support allowing
discussion of any work or personal issues
that may be impacting wellbeing , workplace
moral and psychological health.
SMG Health help to explore issues, discuss
options and develop skills to realise positive
change with issues such as:
Managing stress
Anxiety and depression
Conflict at work or home
Grief and bereavement
Coping with change
Financial or legal issues
Alcohol or drug concerns
Relationship and marital problems
Elder care issues
Work or career issues
Work life balance
