Sydney Morning Herald A WORKSHOP WITH VERSION 1.0 RESEARCHING AND MAKING DOCUMENTARY THEATRE Sydney-based version 1.0 are acclaimed for their innovative, accessible and entertaining blend of documentary theatre, contemporary performance and media spectacle. Founded in 1998, previous performance works includes the widely acclaimed The Table of Knowledge, the Green Room Award-winning The Bougainville Photoplay Project, the Helpmann Award-winning This Kind of Ruckus, and the Drovers Award-winning Deeply Oensive And Utterly Untrue. In The Table of Knowledge, as with many of their works, version 1.0 have used real documents (transcripts from the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption inquiry into Wollongong Council) to craft their forensic theatrical vision. In this one-day workshop for professional theatre-makers and performers, members of the version 1.0 ensemble will introduce their approach to documentary theatre making, including the research and devising strategies for which they are well known. Participants are asked to bring a real document to use in the workshop (more information provided on registration).
