Foreword by Proessor Massimiliano Chitvic (physicist).

This is a book on existence. It is about how existence appearsin our eyes, broken into several ragments. It is upon the eort that

the several small ragments which we call man make in order topiece unity together. It is also about the uselessness o such eorts.Forasmuch such ragmentation is only apparent, like some kind oMayan veil.

Existence and unity pervade the entire universe; perhaps whenwe talk about universe it is like talking about existence. Existencepresents itsel beore our eyes as energy (it is worth rememberingthe equivalence between mass-energy, according to which matter isnothing but matter in a particular orm. E=mc2),and as such, it is

ound everywhere. Each thing is shaped by energy (Logos?) and re-turns to energy and fnally is energy. Energy is the source, the sourceo inormation, encoded according to appropriate laws which we areslowly discovering. We should just think about all the inormationwe can gather rom the structure o the visible universe through thesuns rays; or even, whenever possible, by measuring matter.

We have thereore realized a ormula which is so dear to our un-damental principles: God (energy) is everywhere, omnipotent andomniscient. The title o the book is thereore appropriate.

With regards to matter, more precisely energy in disguise, evenwe as human beings (and not only ourselves, but also all the livingbeings and anything which surrounds them) belong to existence, weare existence but have orgotten it.

All gnostic sects, had already come this conclusion in ancienttimes. The common trait o their doctrines was the existence o a per-sisting spark o divine energy in each human being which repeatedly

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 9intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 9 20-11-2007 18:02:0520-11-2007 18:02:05

    10

attempts to rejoin itsel with the primigenial source. This divinespark is nothing but a name given by ancient men to energy. But

we, as modern evolved and technologically advanced people, haveorgotten this. In an unspecifed moment o the XVIII century weallowed materiality which also belongs to existence to close ourminds to awareness. Since that time, our path has become more ardu-ous. We no longer hold the immediate perceptiveness o belonging toexistence (as makind still possessed in the Middle Ages), we have anecessity to recover ragments one by one with great eort. And allthat we are able to gain rom this is simply a series o partial, secto-rial visions o unity. It is really worth remembering what Parmenide

stated in his Poem on Nature: It is essential that you learn abouteverything: the solid well-rounded heart o truth and the opinion ohuman beings in which there is no true certainty. But this you shallalso learn, how all things that appear certainly are that way, beingall part o each meaning. According to Parmenide existence is notto be interpreted as a monolithic oneness, but as a whole which doesnot fght o or cancel out the multi-aceted but includes it in itseland guarantees as well as saeguards its reality. As a consequence,Parmenide believed that Existence is the true meaning o reality, theheart o truth, whilst things which appear, all phenomena are itsmaniestation in its content. The real meaning o things which ap-pear can only be gathered by understanding their relationship withexistence and how existence has a concrete subsistence in its manioldappearance. Parmenide lays down an identity between terms whichwe no longer knew about.

As mentioned above, as human beings, we have orgotten to bepart o the Everything, denying it (in several ways, even religiously)inasomuch as absurdly stating the void. By doing this we providewrong assertions on the way things appear and the meaning or car-

rying them out. This is the wrong consequence o the orgetulnesswe mentioned beore. On the other hand, we must not negate theexperience o things and events but rather reute this erroneous vi-sion o experience, otherwise we push ourselves urther rom theEverything and create the image o a monstruous personage.

This is thereore what it means to recover various ragments thatlead us towards Unity (ragments which only appear as such and due

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 10intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 10 20-11-2007 18:02:0520-11-2007 18:02:05

    11

to our western views o dividing the relationship between phylosophyand theology). This is the task that awaits us, whether we are aware

o it or not. Intillas book wishes to go towards this direction. The eorts that mankind makes in order to rewrite the lost Unity

are amenable to scientifc inquiry as well as the phylosophical one.But none o these two cases can reach its objective by operating in asectorial way. It is essential to make an eort to overcome specialisticdivisions.

Reductionism is a very comortable method or solving problems, the problem is decomposed into several minor problems until a solu-

tion to those is obtained. Moving rom solution to solution it is thenpossible to reach the starting point. On the other hand, by ollowingthis the undamental axiom which tells us that the Everything isabove the sum o its parts is lost.

By working in watertight compartments, mankind only makes thesituation worse; in act there are no scientifc theories which proveabove any reasonable doubt, the participation o the Everythinginto each element. We can only catch here and there some vaguehints (or example through quantum and relativistic mechanics)and by pausing and reecting on their meaning (at times orcing it)extrapolate some clues. But nothing more.

Not even the lately analysed GUT theories o Great Unifcation, can explain the Universe in a single ormula, or are able to help usin any way. Although they supply us with more coercive clues, theyare still only clues. What happens when we turn to cosmology? Weactually move rom the bleakest desperation o absolute materialismto an enthusiasm or eeling that we have ound our place in the Uni-verse. These are both completely wrong standings. Desperation be-cause all data available tells us that the Universe is destined towards

thermodynamic death leading us along with it. It takes a hold on usso that the uselessness o our presence in the world becomes realityand we ask ourselves what the purpose or such rantic search is ieverything is destined to end. Desperation because the materialisticinterpretation tells us that we are the ruit o chance and we are here

just because casual conditions that have always allowed us to be herehave led us here.

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 11intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 11 20-11-2007 18:02:0520-11-2007 18:02:05

Enthusiasm because such data, i interpreted with another key, tells us that the universe presents conditions that make it inevitable

or observators to appear, namely intelligent beings able to carryout research on the universe and themselves.Enthusiasm because the analysis o these conditions tells us that

by varying any one o them in a slight way we may not exist andthereore our appearance in the cosmos was programmed in theDNA o the universe. Such contrasting positions, irreconcilable be-tween themselves are dependent upon the interpretation that wishesto provide the same estimative elements. As recently ound, they aredependent on personal convictions o those who interpret thereore

not objective.Phylosophy doesnt make this any easier. With its multi-acetedsides the two standings already stated above, which are essentiallyamenable to the currents o materialism, denying any participationo the Everything (as well as negating its actual existence) togetherwith the ontology o the Everything, all becomes fnalized towardsthe demonstration o the Everything and the comprehension o itsmaniestations. Various theologies and religious aiths do not con-tribute to making it all clear, as retreated in their own certainties, mutually excluding themselves, generate dogmas whose purpose isnot to illuminate the walk o awareness o mankind but to controltheir consciousness.

But i we look careully, we have some proo. Some individualproo. This is not a clue or opinion subject to interpretation butactual proo providing us with certainty. This proo is a theoremdemonstrated by the logician Kurt Goedel (who in his Theorem oIncompleteness o 1949 astonished his riend and colleague Einsteinby demonstrating that it was possible to travel through time i start-ing rom the equations o General Relativity), demonstrating the

existence o God. It is a God that is dierent rom the one presentedby all religious aiths and perhaps this is the reason why the theoremhas been orgotten, studied only by specialist mathematicians (itis easy to think that i God exists and God does exists accordingto the irreproachable demonstration o Goedel as he speaks thelanguage o mathematics).

This book appears to be enveloped in an Indian cosmologicalthought og but I dont know whether the author is aware o this.

According to Hindu thought, there is no room or irriducibledualism, any real opposition in the logic o opposites within whichall our perceptions unction.

Whether such constrast is spirit and matter, conscious and un-conscious, inactive or living, white or black, good or bad, etc. it isalways about opposites between complementary and interdependentelements which exist only in relationship to the other.

The Universe, according to the Hindu thought, is speculation, agame o probability, possibilities which are not unique, that could be

dierent, which is dierent in other dimensions, in other spaces (andwhich modern science discovers more and more each day). The Cos-mic Being incessantly imagines other Universes which exists on otherlevels with respect to the one we perceive. Even within the world webelieve we know there are other worlds, dierent orders o dimen-sions and perception which give rise to dierent realities. Separateon certain levels, they do however remain connected to the others.Within the order o what can be perceived by us, there is no solutiono continuity between the dierent levels o creation, between matter, lie, thought and consciousness. There is nothing but dierences indimension, modality, moments and degrees.

According to the Hindu cosmology, there are no limits to thepossibility o worlds contained within each.

Even at the level o human perception, the Hindu say that there isan endless amount o stars and planet worlds that can be comoparedto ours, which include living beings that are similar to us and actuallylook like us in many dierent ways. The Earth and mankind do notconstitute a single and isolated phenomenon.

In conclusion, I would briey like to talk about an issue which isvery dear to me. A topic which in some way pervades and is oundthroughout Intillas book, like a note which accompanies rom thebeginning to the end a symphony o various issues united yet dis-tinct.

I reer to the inuence o the psyche above matter or rather otheir mutual inuence, since psyche and matter are two aspects o a

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 13intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 13 20-11-2007 18:02:0620-11-2007 18:02:06

    14/188

    14

single reality. It is a known act that matter inuences psyche; psycheis intended in the most restricted acceptation o the personal psyche

o man. I we simply think about the moon and its eects on thetide which inuence the mood o individuals (and not by chance, customs and popular traditions name such individuals moody). But psyche and matter both inuence each other in a dierent way.It is the case o acausal coincidences or synchronisms. The theoryo synchronicity is a theory developed by C.G.Jung in collaborationwith Nobel prize winner W.Pauli (theory o the principle o exclu-sion which concerns the various orbitals that an electron can moreor less occupy in an electronic cloud surrounding the nucleus o an

atom). In a ew words, some external events happen which preciselyconfrm an internal psychological situation and vice versa. In orderto clariy this point, I will make a personal example.

Several years, I walked along the roads o my city near the railwaystation. I had recently split up rom the girl I was with at that timeor more precisely, I had been let by her. I spent a long time not be-ing able to understand why she had made such a choice, alling intomelancholy and later resentment.

But, as they say, time heals everything and slowly mends all thepain. On that day, I was reecting upon the ability o time to curethe wounds o the soul. I sat on a bench and deep inside I elt thatthe pain and resentment elt or such abandonment had gone and Isaid to mysel:

It has been a long time, F. What has happened is over and I nolonger eel resentment towards you. Actually, I wish you all the bestand that you may fnd true happiness. Be at peace F. At that precisemoment, a white dove landed and perched near my eet.

The connection between the two events, my interior situation andthe happening o such external happening is obvious.

Normally people tend to gather such situations but relegate thembetween bizzarre coincidences that every now and then happen toall o us without placing no importance to them and missing theopportunity to get in touch with the primiginial source o psychiclie. With the Everything himsel. In such lucky moments, we areable to realize that we are not isolated entities but we are part o an

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 14intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 14 20-11-2007 18:02:0620-11-2007 18:02:06

    15

Everything and that anything we say, do or think (yes: thought iscreation) modifes the universe in itsel.

There is obviously another way in which the psyche inuencesmatter, in a way which is more consonant to the mentality o thewestern world. I reer to an action consequent to a rational reex-ion.

A very banal example can be based on the decision o buildinga house, decision which heavily inuences matter, transorming idlematerial into a complex structure yet inuencing and transormingits surrounding environment. I know that the example is banal butthe rational process implicated is identical to that o digging a well

or declaring war to a State.I will stop here, otherwise all the cues and reextions derivingrom the reading o Intillas book would lead me ar, very ar. But Ido hope that whoever will read this book will do the same.

Intilla has given us the opportunity to reect and he has providedit in an intelligent way.

Dear Fausto, you should not apologize or any crazy idea; they are the only

things that move human knowledge orward. In my opinion, themost serious problem acing contemporary science is the arroganceo its practitioners, who seem incapable o saying two simple phrasesI dont know and I was wrong. But without the humility impliedby these, it is impossible to learn something new. One can only rein-orce what one thinks one already knows.

We are touched by your enthusiasm or our work (...). Althoughthis topic continues to be regarded as controversial by most main-stream scientists, it does seem to be attracting a growing interest and

respect, especially among younger people. Perhaps the paradigm isnot as ar rom that long-predicted shit as we had thought (...).

Here again, here is the staircase and here is the door. I walk up thestairs. I am in ront o the door and think: It will most probably beopen. In a rather sel-assured way, I touch the handleand thereit is, or the third consecutive time, the door was actually open. I amnot at all surprised. Once again, I am in the same place. I stay hereor about two minutes. Then I leave, close the door again and walkdown the staircase, promising mysel to return tomorrow.

    The next day

Here is the usual staircase and the usual door. I start walking upthe stairs. So, lets seetoday I must go to the barbers, go to thepost ofce to send some letters, check my e-mail, return my mothersoven dishbut anyhow, Ill walk into this wonderul peaceul placeo idyllic appearance. There are only three steps to go and I will beat the door; I can already see mysel across the threshold, inside thatpleasant place. I have the unconscious and nearly absolute certaintythat in a ew instances I will touch the handle and open that door, that nothing and nobody can stand in my way. I give a glimmer o asmile and in a rather decisive way, I lower the door handle throwingmysel orward with an outburst and strangely enoughthe dooris not opened and I nearly hit my head against it.

Once again, just as it oten happens throughout ones lie (ormore lives), the last pieces o a simple puzzle do not seem to matchwith its own expectations. The logic o the Universe is ar more com-plex. Each time that our expectations are transormed into some-thing more solid, that is, into mental structures which no longerallow or any kind o doubt, and that thereore defne a potentialuture as something not defnitive, which no longer has potential,

as it is nearly completely taken or granted; it is in that precise mo-ment, that all the wave unctions that our system (body-mind-soul)has managed to previously collapse in our avour (thereore creatinga positive reality), completely change direction to give space to aless avourable reality. Do you know what this means? It means thatour expectations, our most deepest desires, our stupid frm believesand our stupid illusionsmake our surrounding reality change in the

most unavourable way! To give you a most trivial example, or whatreason did the stock exchange start its slow and inexorable decline,

exactly at the stroke o the year 2000? On the frst o January o theyear 2000, investors exhilaration was at its highest point! The expectations o million and millions o investors had already

reached the highest point because everyone believed that an out oproportion growth in all the fnancial markets (above all in the feldso technology and telecommunications). But or what reason do youbelieve that or two thousand years, all the religions in the world havebeen proessing the same things? Someone about two thousand yearsago, had noticed that the only way or mankind to be saved is to be

without stupid illusions and desires; and this was a long time beoreall the world scientists discovered quantum mechanics changingtheir concept o reality.

This strange cosmic law, is relevant to all sides o the humansphere. Whoever ervently desires unconstrained richness, will neverobtain it, whoever deeply desires a partner or lie (true love, as theysay), will never fnd it!and so on.

All the poison that you do not need

The heart is a actory o desires, but they may only be realizedi we are able to secretly hold them within; the moment that thosedesires emerge to the surace, and attack the brain, the potentialto ulflling those desires disappears (and the only times when theyare ulflled, there is a high price to be paid). But how is it possible(someone will surely ask) to saely keep in secret the desires o ourown heart, hoping that these will come true, without making oursupreme organand our body go into motion to realize them? Well,I would answer the question in the ollowing manner: there are two

ways to bring our soul towards whatever we desire the most; thefrst is to analyse all the apparent data that the reality in whichwe live (amily environment, working environments, bars attendedrequently, riends, relatives) is able to give us, by later using the brainto elaborate a plan which is completely rational so that our objectivecan be reached and that in the end, our body can carry it out. Thesecond way is to lie down on a bed and let our body (including the

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 23intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 23 20-11-2007 18:02:0820-11-2007 18:02:08

    24

brain, obviously), absorb all the inormation that the entire cosmosis able to supply to us; the moment that our soul has decided which

part o the earth it should transer it to, we simply need to let ourbody and mind (rational thought) leave the bed together and ollowitwithout making any objections.

By using the frst method, you will certainly have about twentyper cent probability to ufll your dreams; by using the second, theprobability is approximately seventy per cent.

The main point now is: nobody is able to know exactly whatdreams, aspirations, greatest desires are hidden in their own uncoun-scious nucleus. Following our own soul, would thereore mean to

walk towards potential events o which we cannot completely know(not even in the slightest way) the developments, whether positiveor negative or the person himsel or other people involved. In thiscase, what we would carry out, would exclusively mean to be an acto aith, without (as previously mentioned) knowing the eects. Anancient Chinese proverb says:God punishes you when he lets youachieve your desires.

Now, according to you, in which o the two cases would God tryto punish us? In the frst case, where we exactly know our desires andmanage to reach them, or in the second case, when we dont exactlyknow what our desires, but fnally (with a good seventy per cent oprobability) will implicitly be revealed and thereore be oered on asilver dish? You hold the right answer.

I anyone believes that I have not been clear enough, I can addthis: the frst method, based on apparent data (misleading) andon the rational thought which around these takes shape, certainlydoes not create happiness o the soul (as I perhaps initially and er-roneously implied), but only the physical and partly psychic one.Instead, the second one, based on cosmic inormation and on the

subconscious nucleus, could place the soul, i not under a state ohappiness, in an environment in keeping with happiness, thereoremore correlated with the human being under question.

I can already hear the voices o wise men admonishingOnly amadman could abandon everything that he has built in many yearso sacrifce, to go and die o hunger who knows where!Peoplewho behave in such a way, sooner or later end up in psychiatric care!

I God gave us the git o a brain, maybe it is because every once in awhile we should use it and so on.

Well, ater all they are not so wrong. Whoever leaves the old pathor the new one, knows what he leaves behind but does not knowwhat he will fnd, as an old saying goes. Normally, whoever con-stantly ollows this proverb, will not be able to expect much rom lie.The Sacred Graal o happiness, is only or the most earless.

There are however those who are convinced that true revolutionlies in normality; well, or some aspects it could also be true. But lie, true lie, the one that i we listen enough, we eel running throughour veins with a pressing rythm, could be revealed as a reality made

o comort, routine, deliberation and Hegelian rationalism ? Whichdreams could ever be realized in such reality; maybe those in whichGod punishes you once they are achieved? And the old wiseman,at this point answers: Watch out guy, Nicholson teaches that onlyew people are able to y on the gowk nest without hurting them-selves.

It is necessary to suer beore we can learn

About a year ago, I met a girl who was a ew years older than me;her ather was o Romanian origin, whilst her mother had Serbian/Croatian roots. She was one metre seventy three cm o height, ftyeight kg without shoes and clothes, brown hair, hazel eyes and a mindas sharp as a razor. The typicalemme atale o Slavic ascination, able to make anyone all in love (including the idiot who is currentlywriting). Without going into details, in one way or another I was ableto make her all or me and within weeks I took all my rags to herhouse, and started living with Miss Universe.

At the beginning, things were going well, but each time she looked

into my eyes and told me she loved me as well as said that she wantedto stay with me all her lie (and beyond this lie), through goodand bad, as the love that she nurtured or me (as she said) was nearlyboundless, well each time she came out with such nonsense, I wouldalways unailingly eel a strange uneasiness in the solar plexus area, which travelled up towards my heart. It was as i each time she placedher eyes on me she absorbed part o my elan vital. That is when they

started, what she considered to be exclusively stupid paranoid ftsand nothing else. I soon ended in a deep state o depression; I was

ill and did not know who to blame or this strange and unjustifableuneasinessbut now I know: I could only blame mysel! When we eel a strange uneasiness in the solar plexus area, it is

necessary to interpret it as an alarm bell! Our subconscious at thatmoment in time (or the system body-mind-sould, i you preer) hasalready fltered and elaborated all the cosmic inormation, which initsel has been able to defne in a subconscious level, a whole serieso potential utures (that could thereore be reached), all unavour-able to the stated person-victims expectations. Her parents had never

been very open towards me, actually, I elt hatred and disdain to-wards me. They had never explicitly confrmed their eelings towardsme or made me understand this in other ways, but I elt it; each timeI met them, the tension in the air was tangible. This matter kept onmaking me eel more and more oppressed; until one day I decided(just like any yankee that you can respect, ready to make justice aloneand in no hal-way measures), to break the ice and take the bull byits horns. I had an argument with her parents (this conict tookplace in the absence o my beloved one), and as a good sel-taughtpsychologist, let all the bad come to the surace

According to them, it was a simple cultural dierence and edu-cational dierence (according to these people, I was not sufcientlyeducated or their little princess) and I did not represent to be theideal man or their refned ospring.

The ollowing day, I saw the woman who was supposed to havelater been my uture wie, Miss Universe. She looked in my eyeswith obvious disdain and showing o her ull pride she said: Thistime you have really done it, how did you dare jumping on my parentsin such a way? This is the last straw, I will let you know when you can

come to collect your stu. I you hadnt argued with my parents, wewould probably have got married and had children. Goodbye. It was areply which made be believe that there had been something else to itor some months but that she had obviously been araid to loose herlittle puppy, always ready to satisy all o her needs, she never hadthe courage to reveal. Everything happened, whilst I, like a perectidiot, swayed in a sea o tears, begging her to think about it again

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 26intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 26 20-11-2007 18:02:0820-11-2007 18:02:08

and orgive the great mistake I had made, according to her, by argu-ing with her parents. She didnt even shed a tear. At that moment in

time, I understood that I had spent a year o my lie, with a mercilesswoman, totally cold, wretched and heartless.

A ew days ater our separation, I wrote her this letter: MaybeI should not have desired your love so much; maybe I should not havedesired your parents love so much and I should not have longed or alie that is so simple and balanced. By doing this, I have not done any-thing but lowering the wave unctions towards the wrong direction, andthe uture which has arisen has been everything but avourable.

But how can a human being let go o a desire o love, just the mo-ment that he eels he has ound it?Maybe the secret is here. The spell lasts only while unaware o the

I-WHERE-WHEN; the moment that our eyes are open and at thesame time doors o perception, love, the spell, disappears in a twinkleo an eye. The meeting with the twin soul, the one that not everyone islucky to fnd through a lietime, can only happen in a moment o greatsuering (or viceversa),where all the doors o perception are totallyopenan instant in which time appears to crystalize, where the tickingo the clock seems to stop all o the sudden, it is like the transit betweenlie and deathwhere silence reigns supreme, and in your own mind,in your own Universe, you can only hear a chorus o voices that alwaysrepeats the same lineAmazing Grace, a sweet melody that goes deepinto your bones and makes you tremble and cry at the same time whilst

joyous. In this precise moment, when the sky all o the sudden appearsto be painting in red, blue, white and all o the other colours o lie, wehave the total awareness that the person by your side, will ollow you

or the rest o her earthly existance.

Lie is like a painting o Pollock, that can be dug deeply, even inthe chaos it is possible to fnd some order, some logic o events, whichas they ollow, defne the lie o each human being.

Well take a look at the last things that Miss Universe told mebeore pronouncing her last magic word that ended the spell:

I you had not argued with my parents, we would have probablygot married and we would have also had children. Well, now, with

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 27intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 27 20-11-2007 18:02:0820-11-2007 18:02:08

the wisdom o hindsight, I laugh at it; but I can ensure you that atthat time, I was so distraught that I would have actually apologized

to her parents, in order to stand by her side. How blind, how oolisho me, how naivewith my eyes closed, blinded by the last asheso passion, I was going to make the biggest mistake o my lie! For-tunately, I opened my eyes and didnt make that great mistake.

I will now analyze what would have happened i I had apologizedto her parents. In the best o cases, they would have accepted myapology, still continued (and probably greatly) to nurture a hatredand disdain towards me. Miss Universe, on the other hand, wouldhave also nurtured some sort o hatred towards me, at least or some

time, until the tension between the two o us would have slowly diedout. But how long could this state o things have carried on? Thisake relationship, where her parents could only place their negativeinuence? Maybe the time to get married and bear a ew children?Well, I eel that you may already know the answer. All your sins willsoon fnd you out. Wanting to take the bull by its horns and immedi-ately, I did nothing but accelerate the times and bring about our in-evitable separation; thus avoiding the most disastrous consequences(many o you know what a legal separation consists in, especiallywhen children are involved).

There are some paths in the lie o every human being, that oursouls cannot avoid, or simple reason that they themselves actuallyprogrammed such paths!

A ew months ater our separation, in the period when I wasstarting to fnd a certain psychological-physical state, I wrote to myanalyst the ollowing letter:

Dear Doc. M,I am writing this letter, so that you can realize, how (ater the events

have taken place) I see reality around me, thereore, as a consequence, you may be able to analyse in a most complete and objective way as pos-sible, the entire physical-psychological context that I have regretullytaken part in (I say regretully in inverted commas, as I eel that everynegative experience in lie, must be seen and interpreted as a teaching,in order to improve each approach that any human being sooner or lateris obliged to ace, with all o lies adversities).

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 28intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 28 20-11-2007 18:02:0820-11-2007 18:02:08

You are a psychologist, and thereore will know more than I thatman has needs and motivations which he is not aware o (Freud built

his whole analytical system around this basic intuition). The point isthat nobody knows what mankinds true needs are. Freud himselchanged his mind as many as three times on the nature o desires andinstincts. Initially, he spoke about sexual and survival instincts; thenhe spoke o pleasure and aggressiveness; fnally o a vital instinct anddeath instinct. From that time, psychotherapists, have always tried tocomprehend mankinds true needs.

For example, Rank emphasized the need or a strong and construc-tive will, Adler spoke o longing or power, Ferenczi o the need or love

and acceptance (and maybe my case alls within this school/theory opsychotherapybut only apparently, I must make this clear), Horneyo the need or security, H.S. Sullivan o biological satisaction andsecurity, Fromm o the need or meaning, Perls o the need to growand mature, Rogers o sel-deence and sel-improvement, Glasser o aneed or love and sel-respect, and so on. What we can fnally deduce isthat man is unaware o a ew aspects o himsel (that is his Shadow, touse a Junghian term); and beyond this, wanting to dig deeper, it seemsclear and obvious that each o the main schools o psychotherapy, turntowards a dierent level o the subconscious spectrum. All theseschools, thereore come to complementary conclusion. The psychologi-cal profle o the girl I lived with or about a year, as you rightly pointedout during one o our sittings, is distinguished by a strong ambitiontowards everything that lie in itsel is able to oer us, but apart romthis, is distinguished by a strong behaviour projective o negative quali-ties (such as snobbing, malice, alse modesty, etc).

All these projections o negative qualities, which have always char-acterized the nature o my ex-girlriend, have always (obviously) beenin conict with the projections which on the other hand characterize

my nature; that is projections o a positive nature, such as kindness, strength, wisdom, etc This orced interaction, between natures whichare so dierent, that is, between me and my ex-girlriend , inuenced

urthermore by the developments which were anything but positive in-teractions between me and my ex-girlriends ather (he himsel wasalso dominated by a behaviour defned nearly exclusively o a dispro-

portioned quantity o projections which where o a negative nature

something rather unusual or a doctor - ; behaviour which he cannotbe aware o as all this negative material has been by him dissociated,

alienated, repudiated, thrown away, but that even though such poten-tial reserve, has always been in some kind o projections. The reasonor his profle-psychological behaviour towards society, which actuallycharacterizes his daughter too, my ex girlriend, I believe is partly dueto all o lie adversities which he had to ace as a oreigner, in an alienland) could only have matured sooner or later in an inevitable separa-tion between the two o us.

The implausible hypothesis is that everything originates rom, iseverything that we see in other people or in the worlds only a projec-

tion. In order to reabsorb or recover our projections we project our-selves completely onto the other object or person. In theory, it would benecessary to do the opposite o alienation, that is identiy. As you willcertainly know, the job o identiying with the woman chosen to be a liecompanion, this would have never taken place, as it is strongly againstmy nature. Such work, is solely achieved when there is an interest in

psychoanalysing a determined subject or therapeutic purposes. Whatis most obsurd in all this, is that at the end, I was the one to come to

you and not the opposite! But at the end, everything balances out, the easy and the difcult

blend, the high and the low lie side by side, the orward and backwardollow one another. there are no mountains without valleys, and thosewho try to eliminate the valley, will be orced to demolish the moun-tains. Those who say to want justice without its correlative, injustice,or a good government without a bad government, do not believe the

great principle o the Universe, neither the nature o the whole o Crea-tion. Hatred o evil only reinorces evil, and the opposition reinorceswhatever we go against. It is a law which is mathematically exact. Thecontinuing denunciation o evil and o its emissaries does nothing but

encourage its growth in the world, a truth revealed sufciently in theGospels, but to which we obstinately stay dea.

What my ex girlriend and her parents should understand (but Istrongly doubt that they will one day be able to do), is that moderatecynicism has always been a eature o people who have great cultureand humanity. All the possibilities o authentic aection between hu-man beings depend on being able to accept and know an element o

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 30intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 30 20-11-2007 18:02:0820-11-2007 18:02:08

unshakeable roguery, within ourselves and in the others. (It is a realshame, that such way o seeing reality, is a eature most exclusive to

anglosaxon people; sentences likeson o a .! and so on, in deter-mined contexts, can be meant as a compliment only in a city like NewYork or Los Angeles).

The strength o anatism, no matter how eective may be, canalways be bought at the price o unawareness, and whether one hasa more or less good cause, invariably reveals to be destructive, as itoperates against lie: it denies the ambivalence o the natural world. Icould live in the nutshell, and believe mysel to be the King o an end-less space, i it was not or some bad dreams Shakespeare had seen

correctly, it is really the bad dreams, or bad ambitions, that change thedestiny o every human being (and as a consequence that o entiremankind!) in the most unavourable way one can imagine. Mine, or-tunately, is heading towards the right directionthe dark orest isnow a vague memory o my past.

Ambition is a synonim o desire, and desires as we previouslydiscussed, you know where they take you. It is essential to abandonevery stupid illusion, every stupid desire in order to access the doorsto infnity! To be able tonot observebut being, the AlephtheOmega, a nail, a tree, a planet, a star! To be able to see Eternity inan hour, the Universe in a Grain o Sand. Yet, it is so simple, to clearthe doors o perception, it is enough by carrying out a simple act oaith. I you neverleave your home, you will never be able to meet your soulmate!Well, this is the biggest lie, the biggest idiocy which millions and mil-lions o people believe in, and unortunately, their sentimental spheretakes shape around, taking the most unavourable and unhealthydirections which a poor human soul could ever ollow in the courseo a lietime (or more lives!). Nobody can escape their own destiny, nobody can escape romsynchronous mechanisms (and thereore apparently casualbut only

apparently, to clearly say) o the Universe (Jung teaches) nobodycan escape rom Gods power ! But it is essential that I give you abanal example, by telling you a purely fctitious story (even thoughI would not be surprised i it had actually happened!):

Jack was a thirty year old man, tall, robust, ascinating and was aManhattan broker. He lived a perect lie o a bachelor and lived in abeautiul lot in Long Island, in Queens. He had a Chevrolet Corvetteand a substantial bank account. His working day normally started at

7.30 AM, with a French toast, warmed up in the microwave oven, adecilitre o boiling coee sweetened with our teaspoons o sugar. At8.45 A.M. his arse was already sat on a comortable chair covered inmaterial, about twenty metres o height rom the still humid and totallyshadowed oor o Wall Street, in the middle o millions o cubic metreso cement, waiting or the New York Stock exchange bell to ring atexactly 9.00 to mark the start o the fnancial day. Ater the hell othe frst our hours o exchange, when normally the shares reach themaximum daily peaks, there was the usual lunch break that consistedo a still smoky hot-dog buried under a decilitre o ketchup, mustardand rench ries, all ingurgitated in a straight posture, in the cornerbetween Broadway and Pine Street. Anothersmall sacrifce betweentwo and our PM and then, at the end o the trading day, the usual beerin Greenwich with the same idiots, who ater having lost the usual tenhigh denomination banknot with some trashy share, couldnt wait tocurse and talk badly about Merryls analysts.

Finally, back to the home, sweet home, where there are just the lastunpaid bills waiting or him, a ew letovers in the ridge and a ewmessages on the answer machine let by one o the latest bitches, look-

ing or a chicken to pluckand maybe or lie. He wasnt at all out owomen, maybe he had too many. And fnally there was the week-end,which normally, when he was ree rom a tryst, spent some hours withhis parents in a small house in Woodside, discussing the same old rub-bish with his ather regarding the golden years o the Giants as well asthe uture o the Superbowl.

In theory, Jack had everythinga beautiul lot in the Sunnyside,

thing anyway; his money, and Jack really had a lot o it.But although he had so much, Jack still missed something. Some-thing that he could have never have bought, not even with all the goldin the world, something that as time passed, he had already stoppedbelieving in, but that at the same time, let him with an open woundwhich helped him carry on day ater day, in a state o depression gettingdeeper by the day. This something is generally expressed with a simple

our letter word: LOVE.It was this that Jack missed, lovetrue love, the deep one, honest,

warm, sincerea perect blend between him and an ideal companionor lie, but the good Lord, did not appear to be listening to call or hishelp. [Lets consider that during the times o great psychic suering, normally the doors o perception are much more open thanusual, that is, than when a person is enjoying some kind o psychic-physical balance].

A little bit beore arriving home, he stopped the car in ront oa drug-store. His intention was to go in and buy the usual anti-de-

pressants. He turned the key and the engine o his powerul Chevro-let Corvette o an amaranth red colour, stopped to switch its thermicenergy into useul mechanic work. He sighed with his eyes placed onthe steering wheel, then slowly lited up his ace ull o sadness, untilhis visual ray was perectly horizontal, allowing him thereore to readwithout impediment, the writing in block capitals, printed on the rearwindow o the car parked directly in ront o his:

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN.At that moment in time, Jack, saw all o his lie in the twinkling o

an eye; rom that time, he started asking himsel a series o endlessquestions:What is the meaning o all this?, I have everything, just

everythingbut in reality, I have nothing, nothing at allThe great, magnifc, omnipotent Jack, JackassI have nothing at

all! My lie is empty, stupid, insignifcant. But what on earth am I doinghere? Fuck itcan you hear me God? onds, then, suddenly, he brought his right hand on the ignition key andswitched on the engine. He let the car park and a ew blocks away he

took the 495th street East direction; about seven km later, he took the678th direction South. Approximately twelve km later south direction, the 678th could only in one directionto the Kennedy Airport!andJack wanted to go right there! He had nothing with him, apart romhis woollen coat, passport, a pair o shades; and his MasterCard witha credit limit o one hundred and twenty thousand dollars.

He reached Kennedy Airport about thirty minutes later, parked hiscar in a no parking area and in a ew minutes ound himsel in a long

series o check-ins connected to a multitude o airline companies. Thefrst thing he did, was to fnd out about the departure time o the frstight toLos Angeles! Miraculously, he ound a place on the frst ightwhich was going to leave within two hours. He purchase a single ticked, sat between the other travellers awaiting boarding time.

Four hours later, he was standing acing the city o Los Angeles. In his pocket he had about seventy dollars cash; he took a taxi and

asked to be let in a Travelodge in the area o Venice Beach; luckily, heimmediately ound a room . It was eleven pm exactly on a Thursday atthe beginning o September; a day that Jack would have remembered

or the rest o his lie. He took o hiswoollen coat and comortably liedon his bed. He took a deep breath with a semi-open mouth, crossed hishands on his chest and closed his eyes. He was exhausted. He thoughtabout his job in New York, aware that on his returni he would everreturnthe bone, someone would have already been caught by someoneelse.

In any case, he was not having second thoughts, no doubt or worryo any kindbecause deep in his heart, he knew he had done the rightthing; Jack, in that precise instant, knew that he was the right person,

in the right place and at the right time!Something not well defned, in his mind, kept on reassuring him

trying to convince him more and more, that whatever he had done inthe latest ew hours, belonged to some sort o Divine picture. It had tobe done, ull stop!

He thereore started wandering on oot or by bike the streets o LosAngeles, without a destination, without projects or the uture, eeling

like a luxury vagabond; with the money that he had saved, he couldeasily live in that way or about six or seven years. In the frst days,

he worried about transerring his correspondence or sickness and ac-cident insurance to the Travelodge where he was staying. During thefrst days, he oten called his parents who were in vain trying to alleviatetheir anger and desperationhe had really made a big mistake, andhe was well aware o it. But he was also aware, deep in his heart, oanother thing; that is that despite the pain he had caused his parentswith his crazy actions, in any case, he would have never gone back onhis ootsteps.

With the passing o the months, his phone calls to his parents in NewYork became rarer and rarer. Jack limited himsel to sending a postcardonce in a while, trying to reassure them on his perect health. Whenhe did not walk along Main Street or on Santa Monica Blvd, he spenthis days crouched somewhere on the enchanting Venice beach, readingnovels by Asimov or Clark; he had always loved science fction. The frstwinter or Jack, was not so bad as he had initially imaginedwhen itwas too cold, instead o wondering like a dog around Venice, he stayedin his Travelodge room, reading or listening to old Garth Brooks, JohnDenver, Beach Boys, Doors songshe loved country music, but he alsoloved the west coast music o the seventiesyears when, according towhat his ather told him, taking a girl to sleep was as easy as drinkinga beer at the bar.

Just beore the beginning o summer, Jack started to eel terriblysad and dispirited, even more than he had elt in New York, a ew hoursbeore he had headed towards Los Angeles. In his mind, he had startedto eel a reasonable doubt about his improvised, sudden and irrationaldeparture rom New York, where he had let without notice to anyoneor anything, and even let a sae one hundred thousand dollars a year

the writing on the car in ront o the drug-store where he was going towalk in, to meet his soulmate; but unortunately, during his frst seven

months o stay in Los Angeles, he did not have the pleasure o meetingnot even one woman, who could have ever mirrored the characteristicso a potential soul mate.

He was ully aware o his new image; he was conscious o the actthat in the eyes o any woman or girl he might have met and got toknow, he would have uniquely appeared as a looser. He looked just likesomeone who was rather early, queueing up in ront o the sad sign othe Salvation Army with many others begging or soup and a piece obread. With the passing o time, he was nearly completely convinced

that no mentally ft woman would have ever accepted starting a sen-timental relationship with him, at least until he would have shown aminimum interest in fnding a new job. The point was that he was lack-ing the motivation to fnd a new job. And such motivation, that is, thewill to want to return to fght or a dignifed lie, he was convinced hecould uniquely acquire again with the support, theunderstanding andunconditional love o a mate willing to ollow him through good andbad. Jack was thereore fnding himsel stuck in a rut, and this was

preventing him rom deciding which way to go. He was in a most absurdsituation, rom which he did not know how to escape. Returning to NewYork would have been useless; it was in his mind that something surelyhad to happen, he was ully aware o this, but he did not know how toextirpate it. What had initially appeared to be a sign o destiny (thewriting on the car: Caliornia Dreamin) now seemed like a trick, ahoax carried out by the Almighty.

July started with days where the temperature at approximatelytwo in the aternoon rose up to thirty/thirty-two degrees Celsius; andit was during one o those days that Jack, still more and more de-

pressed and without any motivation to continue to live, decided totake o or the last journey in his lie. He went out at about nine inthe morning, leaving his room in the Travelodge and headed towardsthe Venice Boardwalk; along the journey which separated his Motel

rom Venice Beach, he walked in ront o a small liquor store. Hecarried on or a ew metres and then suddenly stopped; made sure(in a positive way) that he had his ID card, he turned around with

decisive steps walked once more a ew meters which divided him romthe entrance o that store. He placed his hand on the handle o that

glass door and walked in without hesitation. Two young Mexicanboys looked at him in a rather detached, neutral way; Jack bought abottle o whiskey and let that small store, once again walking alongthe beach o Venice.

Fiteen minutes later he reached the Boardwalk o Venice; hewalked or another ten minutes heading south, between only a ew

people o still tired aces and then stopped in ront o the entrance oanother store. This time it wasnt a liquor store, neither a drug-storewhere he could have purchased some anti-depressants. He walked in,

placed his paper bag with the drink he had previously purchased on anarrow counter covered by a luminous white flm.For some time, he stared person standing on the other side o the

counter, a tall and robust man o around orty years o age and thencame out with a ridiculous utterance: I have a problem, he saidin a rather bland way. The only reply that the guy over the countercould have ever given, which obviously didnt take long to reach hisears, was the ollowing: Friend, everyone has problems in Los An-

geles. Jack smiled with woeul and lost eyes and lost in his replycontinued: I need a wetsuit and a surboard, only or today

About twenty minutes later, Jack placed next to him the surboardhe had just hired, a big paper bag where he had placed his Whiskey andthe wetsuit he had just hired, and fnally placed his bottom on the stillhumid sand o Venice Beach. He lit a cigarette and started contemplat-ing the ocean; then he looked around to ascertain that no policemenor other people were around to annoy him with some proper citizenobservation, he took out his Jack Daniels bottle that he had in his bigbag and opened it still leaving it in the small paper bag that had been

sold in.Another six pus o cigarettes , lit out the cigarette in the sand

and started to sip the whiskey. Within an hour, Jack had fnished thewhole bottle. Already completely drunk, with his mind totally blurredas well as with a ew hallucinatory sign, he took his surboard and stoodup staggering. In that precise moment, a guy with blond hair walked

by, and with a sneering smile, he gave him the ollowing advice:Heyriend, i I were you, you would not go out with that ossil*2.

Jack did not even understand the simple words o that young guy; hewas totally out that he only heart some kind o echo that he could notunderstand where they came rom, and maybe he did not even notice theshape o the boy passing him by. A ew instances later, he ound himselin icy waters and ortunately only slightly moved by the Pacifc. All ohis memories ended there, in the ocean waves, a ew twenty metres romthe fne yet already wet sand o Venice Beach.

    Sixteen hours later

When Jack opened his eyes, he observed the walls o the roomwhere he was lying and then the bed where he had comortably beenlying down, guessing that he was in a hospital room.

Undoubtedly, someone, sixteen hours beore, having noticed hisstate, had been able to tear him rom the icy waters o the Pacifc.

Jack was still alive, but in that moment he did not know whetherto be happy about it or whether he wanted to cry. The only thing thathe kept on asking himsel was the reason why God had saved him.

He stayed in that room, under strict surveillance, or another sixhours, than at about seven in the evening a nurse asked him whetherhe wanted to eat in his room or on the ground oor in the canteen.

Jack decided to go to the canteen or his dinner. He wore a joggingsuit that the hospital had kindly oered, he was accompanied by thenurse to the ground oor to the entrance o the canteen. At that time, the nurse let him and he walked in without hesitation in an enormousroom mainly flled with patients, as well as the hospital personnel, all sat at tables o six-eight people and busy eating the frst dish otheir evening meal. Jack went to get his ood to the counter close tothe kitchen area, and went to sit down in one o the last ree places

let between the twenty or so tables that covered at least two thirds

*2 The guy who had hired him the surboard, had given him an old wodden Bearsurboard (this doesnt mean that Bear boards are considered to be worthlessbut simply that ater thirty years, any board o any brand should no longer bein the water but in a museum such as the Sur Museum o Santa Cruz,CA).

o the room entire area. In ront o him, there was still miraculouslya ree place.

He started placing ood in his mouth and slowly chewing the frstbites o meat, with the look o who has just lost his whole amily ina plane accident. At that time, about twenty metres away, a nursewalked through the canteen door pushing a wheelchair where a beauti-

ul girl o about thirty years o age was sitting. She had long, straight, silky blond hair; immediately the nurse looked at the ree space op-

posite Jack and started talking to the girl in the wheelchair.Look Miss Dunne, I think I can see a ree place over there, near

that guy with a blue jogging suit [Jack]. Miss Dunne, placed a hand

on her hair and then replied: Mmmrom ar away he appears to bea nice guy; I bet he wont even wait a minute beore he starts showingo his entire Ego in the hope to appear riendly and interestingohGod, I already eel assaulted by boredome even beore I sit at thattable.

The nurse smiled and accompanied to the empty place oppositeJack; she moved the chair and placed the wheelchair in its place, then headed towards the kitchen counter or her frst dish. They both

greeted each other with a hushed Hallo; Jack gave a aint smileand then immediately became serious, glancing at his dish and everyonce in a while observing in a aded way the rest o the world throughthe windows o the canteen. Ater a ew minutes, the nurse returnedto their table and placed a tray with the frst dish in ront o the ladywith the golden hair.

Once again, Jack gave her a aint smile and once again used hisvocal cords.

Enjoy your meal! he said. She thanked him with a semi-smile and then started eating. He really liked that woman, the energy seemed to emanate, she

appeared to be positive. And the incredible thing or Jack was thatshe did not even appear to be stupid; actually, even though they hadnteven started a real dialogue, she appeared to be a rather intelligentand well-educated woman. It was as i his sixth sense, was making himunderstand that with that woman, sat by pure chance opposite him, would have been able to talk about anything. Without even introduc-ing hersel; Ms Catherine Dunne, stared at Jack or an instant and

then said: Look, God is really enjoying himsel seeing you so downand dispirited He then answered: MmmI did not believe God

was so cruel..And she replied:Ohhe is crueller than you can everimagine, she put orward her right arm towards him and introducedhersel with a bright smile: Hallo, my name is CatherineCatherineDunne. Jack shook her hand and introduced himsel as well:JackJack Caster like the general.

Jack and Catherine sat at that table or about our hours, as i amysterious power had orced them do carry out a orced dialoguebut at the same time was terribly harmonious and reassuring or both.At about midnight, Jack took Catherine to the entrance o her room,

waved goodbye and wished her a good night sleep with a smile and ahandshake. He then returned to his room, went to bed, but was un-able to sleep the whole night. Even Catherine that night was unableto sleep.

The ollowing morning, the two saw each other again in the can-teen, this time or breakast. They both sat at the same table, oppositeeach other, and the moment their eyes met again, they both under-stood that the would have spent a lot, actually an immense amount otime, together.Jack had fnally ound the woman o his lie.

The teaching that we can deduct rom this tear-jerking story withsurreal contours, is that nothing happens by chance.

All the events, including those that appear to be more casual andthus without intrinsicly appearing meaning, belong to a Devine Planthat cannot be deciphered in any way by a common human mind.Even the most tragic and sad events belong to the Divine Plan; it isonly ater the Bad that you can reach the Good and vice versa! LaoTzu said:

Is there a dierence between the yes and no?Is there a dierence between the good and the bad?Should I ear what others ear? Foolish! To have and not to have together emergeThe simple and the difcult come to completionThe long and the short balance themselves out

But lets not go too deep or now, in this kind o reection. In the brie story that I told, it is possible to easily notice in what

way some cases it is possible to notice true synchronism. In this spe-cifc case (just like in many others), both people described (Jack andCatherine) were not even lightly touched by the minimum intentionto want to meet (Catherine would have actually preerred to sittingelsewhere, as she thought she may have had to interact with, in heropinion, a disagreeable person). Their minds, beore their bodies

met, were clear rom any kind o expectation or desire towards whothey were going to meet (Catherine was going to meet Jack and viceversa). In this case, it is possible to speak about true external orceswhich pushed the bodies (and later the minds) o our two riendlypeople to interact with each other. Catherine was lead towards Jackstable by a simple choice o the nurse who nearly obliged her to do so,dictated by the conditions o the environment in that precise moment(in act, the place in ront o Jack, was one o the ew places let tobe identifed by the visual feld by the nurse rom that point in theroom!). As ar as Jack was concerned, he had no other choice butto stay there. Even his situation was a totally obliged choice and thereasons are the ollowing:

    a) The canteen was rather crowded and thereore would haveound another place with difculty (even i in his mind he might havethought about moving elsewhere) and he was ully aware o this. Inthis case the action o external orces was determining.

    b) For a simple reason o respect and background, he would havehardly moved rom that chair in the moment that someone was go-ing to sit opposite him. In this case it was a determining action o

an internal orce, related to the highest unctions o his psychicsphere, that themselves govern all the processes o behaviour.

c)The woman who had sat in ront o him, was rather attractive;she actually mirrored the rules o physical beauty that he ound con-

genial. Someone could now erroneously think that the ascinatingaspects o this woman could be intended to be a kind o external

orce in comparison to poor Jack; well this is absolutely alse. It wasthe most primordial Jacks impulses, that is those principally linkedto his libido, to determine a kind o strength able to keep him frmlyattached to that chair. Even in this case, thereore, it was internalpowers to determine the action.

When things must happen, they will surely happen. Full stop.Speaking about subjective will, is always highly aleatory.

We are drawn by ate towards what we reuse to get nearer to by

walking with our heads erect.CARL GUSTAV JUNG

In Introduction to Tantra: A Vision o Totality, there is a beau-tiul consideration regarding the way, at an Ego level, our subcon-scious interacts with other Bands levels (biosocial, existential andtranspersonal) which defne the entire spectrum. Acording to theLama Yeshe :

Our Ego(...) the neurotic mind which grabs hold o a solid sense o

personal identity in order to fnd a support, is extremely powerul, andwill fght against any vision that could threaten his security. It is deeplyupset by the possibility that the sel, just like any other thing, could sim-

ply be a fgment o the conceptual thought. Thereore, we must expectenormous resistance when we meditate upon the non-existing autonomyo the Sel. It is a natural thing, is simply consists in our our prooundlyradicated Ego which fghts against his own destruction.

Making a ew hypothesis, more than simple considerations, on thenature o the various Bands-levels which defne the entire spectrumo our subconscious and the way the interact between each other,we can easily reach the conclusion that the lately analysed (Bands-levels and relating mutual interactions) determine psychic status othe subject under discussion and as a consequence the conormationo the territory where it can be born or the opposite, each singularsynchronistic event.

It is thereore essential to be predisposed so that a synchronistic

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 43intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 43 20-11-2007 18:02:1020-11-2007 18:02:10

event can be triggered o within our psycho-physical sphere andthereore head towards a determined type o evolution whether posi-

tive or negative. Each psychic-physical status however, prearrangesa determined synchronistic event; we are never immune thereore tosynchronisms, as even in them, there is some kind o hierarchicalevent. We start with the simplest orm o synchronism, or examplethe one able to change a boring day into a much happier and interest-ing day, perhaps ater a...totally casual...meeting with an old riendat the market, a riend that we have not seen or a long time; up tothe most complex synchronism able to change, sometimes, the wholepath o our lives. (such as or example, what sparks the phenomenon

    o alling in love).A Universe o Inormation ...

In Arkhtypon, I frmly supported the idea that the undamentalconstituent o energy is Inormation.

From this consideration, I deduced some even more importantideas; that is:

.Whatever physical entity (organic or inorganic) careully con-sidered in this Universe, apart rom representing a complex orm oenergy (energy at a solid state), represents also a complex kind oInormation, that I have named Potential Inormation.

. All the dispersive kinds o energy (such as or example gas orthe smoke o a cigarette), even considered with difculty, consist inbillions and billions o atoms, and each atom is to be considered tobe a complex orm o Inormation.

. Any subatomic particle, is itsel to be considered as a complexorm o Inormation.

. The photons, that is the quantum o energy, because lacking in

mass and thereore imponderable, represent the smallest complexorm o inormation known by mankind.

At this point, someone could easily make the mistake o believ-ing that the entire Universe mainly consists in potential inormation.Well, you are wrong. Things are not like this at all. There is anotherkind o inormation, which I have denominated dynamic inorma-

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 44intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 44 20-11-2007 18:02:1020-11-2007 18:02:10

tion, and that in turn represents the undamental constituent o theollowing parts o the Universe; that is:

_-the collective subconscious according to Jung;_-every singular thought that takes shape within a human

brain._-every singular thought that takes shape within the a non-human

brain._-every word, phrase or discourse accomplished meaningpro-

nounced by a human being. I it takes place with one or more humanbeings (or machines, robots, computers, etc) able to assimilate even

just a small percentage o such inormation, we will talk o activedynamic inormation; whilst in the absence o human beings or in-telligent machines, we will talk o non-active dynamic inormation.Such dynamic inormation, non-active, in my opinion is able to joinwith the collective subconscious in accordance with Jung.

The same thing goes or each word, phrase or discourse at accom-plished meaning which is transmitted via methods o communica-tions known to all o us (books, television, radio,etc...). In order totalk about active dynamic inormation, it is necessary to read andunderstand at least the slightly, whatever is written in a book, or whatis said on television, on the radio, etc. . .

Non-active dynamic inormation included in a book, whether thisis never read by anyone, is anyhow not able to link to the collectivesubconscious...or at least I dont believe it iswell, dont ask me toomucheven my intelligence has a limit!

To make you understand in the best possible way the concept odynamic inormation, it is perhaps better to give you a rather banalexample o how it operates within the Universe. We thereore remain

with our eet on the ground and simply observe what happens themoment we take a book into our hands and begin to read it. I itconsists in a scientifc paper, each single concept expressed in thebook, the moment that it is comprehended by us thus assimilated, constitutes in our mind a certain number o bits o inormation. What we can assume rom this consideration, is that the more thequantity o inormation increases within our cranium, and the more

    intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 45intilla_syncro_stampa.indd 45 20-11-2007 18:02:1020-11-2007 18:02:10

the energy available at our brains disposal.. This is or the simple actthat inormation and energy represent the same thing!

Speaking o inormation or speaking o energy, means talkingabout the same exact thing! It consists in a pure and simple dichot-omy, comparable to that supported by Einstein the moment he dis-covered that mass and energy are exactly the same thing, becausemass is nothing but a complex orm o energy. Nowadays, scientistshave fnally understood that energy itsel is nothing but a complexorm o inormation!

Nowadays, physicists speak o inormation, codifed by an atom

o any element; in a not very distant uture, physicists will talk abouthow much inormation constitutes, represents, a determined element. We will thereore say that a Joule o energy (or an electron Volt o en-ergy, eV) equals to a total amount o bits o inormation. Every hu-man being, is thereore to be considered as a complex orm o energy;this means that he is constituted by a certain quantity o potentialinormation (body) and a certain amount o dynamic inormation(mind). In Arkhtypon, I also gave the name to the system whichtakes shape rom these two types o inormation (potential and dy-namic), and called it : Inormation o syntony. I then reerred to a par-ticular structure o the human mind, saying: Only a mind that worksin an analogue way is able to extract rom the surrounding environment, constituted by the collective subconscious (dinamic inormation) and

rom any type o physical entity (potential inormation), the highestquantity o inormation o syntony (potential+dynamic), tolerable bya common human brain (or any human body, providing that it is notonly our higher organ which captures such inormation).

We have thereore just established that the quantity o energywhich constitutes the mind o a human being is comparable to the

quantity o inormation (or bit o memory) o which such mindconsists in. In conclusion, we can say that the quantity o energythat constitutes a human body, is incremental in the ollowing twoways:

The frst, is extracting as much inormation as possible (with edu-cation and learning in any feld, whether scientifc, political, military, etc), in order to increase our own dynamic inormation. The sec-

ond however, is to increase the potential o our own physical capaci-ties (or example by practicing sport, body building) so as to increase

our own potential inormation. Increasing our own muscle mass, means to increment our muscular energy (dont orget that mass andenergy are exactly the same thing), which defnitely means increasingour ownpotential muscular inormation. Having said something likethis appears to be something ridiculous, but I ensure you that this isthe actual reality o things. A good energetic level, is thereore ac-quired, the moment when we contemporaneously increase potentialinormation as well as dynamic inormation.

    The magic spoon

One o the most sensational results o the General Theory oRelativity, is that similarly to heavy masses, whatever orecast basedon the Euclidean geometry , is to be considered completely unre-liable. It was rom this important discovery that they reached theidea o a curved space. It has now been known or some time, thatno gravitational glue*4 exists (as wrongully stated at the time byNewton and Keplero) between the stars and planets populating ourUniverse.

The Earth does not rotate around the Sun due to a gravitationaleect which has not yet been identifed, but goes round it becausesuch route is the only one that it can travel through within easyreach o our star. This is due to the act that the space around theSun is curved. The geometry o the Universe has nothing Eucli-dean about it. But this is not easily comprehensible by anyone. Inmy opinion this should not however righten you; i I was wrong, Ican set your mind at rest by bringing your attention to the act thatthere are millions o books on the market going into detail (or the

proane, and in a very simple way) in the various themes o GeneralRestricted Relativity.

The entire Universe is structured according to felds o energy,

*4 However, in astrophysics, or practical reasons inherent to calculating opera-tions, they are still many constant and units o measures which go back to thefrst laws o Newton on gravitation are still widely accepted and used.
