Performance based means…

The system sets a number of required "benchmarks" to be fulfilled in order to get points. This leads to optimizing the project not just financially but from a holistically sustainable perspective.

Each criterion has its own validation logic. Basically these refer to:– Limit: statutory requirement / Average Standard– Reference value: Proven procedure – Aim value: Best practice

Limit, reference and certain Aim values are continuously adjusted based on previous experience with certified projects. > The evaluation system thus iteratively improves, and indicates after a few years the effective performance of the construction and real estate sector of the country

Conflicting Aims

Sustainable optimization means solving conflicting aims!

There are basically two approaches

1) Negotiate Problem: For larger projects, the complexity of the relationships is no longer manageable by individuals. 

2) Operationalizing over neutral assessment systems

The application of the DGNB classification for complex projects serves to find operationalized a sustainable optimum!

In criterion of primary energy is used a reference building that needs to be calculated according to the current MuKEn (MoPEC) . The criterion calculates and evaluates the amount of total resulting overachievement according to the criteria logic in comparison to the MuKEn-based reference building.

The key figures of the reference building are to determine at the same building geometry, with the standard values from SIA 2024 and the current MuKEn. It is to be taken the limit value.
