• Can not leave your hole before you finish.• Are not allowed to help dig other people’s holes.• Can not go into your tent to rest, until your hole is

finished.• Your hole has to be as deep as your shovel, which

is 5 feet long, and you would have to be able to lay your shovel flat across the bottom in any direction.

• Can not bring guns, explosives, weapons, drugs, or alcohol onto the premises.

• Can not leave at any time to rest in the Warden’s hammock, under the shade of the only two trees.

• Are only allowed a four-minute shower.

• If you find anything when you’re digging that is valuable, you have to show it to the Warden.

• Can not talk back to any of the counselors.

• Can not steal any of the counselors possessions, including the food and water.

• Eating onions will help prevent being bitten by a yellow-spotted lizard.

• Do not steal Mr. Sir’s sunflower seeds.• Avoid digging at noon, since that is the hottest part of

the day.• Try to stay in the shade as much as possible.• If you’re digging behind someone, make sure that he

does not hit you with the shovel.• Call everyone by their nickname or they will get mad at

you.• If the Warden gets angry at you, you should watch out

for her fingernails.

able to see when the sun is in your eyes.
