The Sunset for CJR...and the Dawn of CRJ! Kim A. Eagle, MD Editor ACC Current Journal Review Through ACC Current Journal Review (CJR) and its edito- rial team, the ACC strives to create for you the world’s premier cardiovascular review journal. Over the past 5 years CJR has expanded its content, reorganized its deliv- ery, and increased the timeliness of its information to keep you up to the minute on important knowledge for the provision of outstanding cardiovascular care. As editor of CJR, I am excited to help you anticipate the next step in the process of making this review journal even more “state-of- the-art”. Next month, CJR will “morph” into a brand new journal, ACC Cardiosource Review Journal (or CRJ). CRJ will con- tinue to bring you the information you need and want, but with even greater speed and breadth. ACC and Elsevier have teamed up to combine the power of ACC’s educational web-site Cardiosource, and the latest in fast-track journal publication from Elsevier, to make CRJ the most compre- hensive and timely review journal in the specialty. Don’t worry, you’ll still get summaries of each month’s 80 to 90 most important articles from the world’s top journals. But you’ll also get the most recent offerings from Cardiosource in categories like Clinical Trials, Expert Opinions, Hot Topics, and meeting highlights from the major interna- tional cardiovascular scientific sessions. We’ve cut the pub- lication time in half, so that the information you get in print will be even more timely. . .like “hot off the web” so-to- speak! ACC Cardiosource Review Journal will combine the best of the past from CJR, and the best of the current and future from Cardiosouce, to help you keep pace with our rapidly changing profession. Look for the “morph” of CJR to ACC Cardiosource Review Journal next month! ACC Current Journal Review Editorial ACC CURRENT JOURNAL REVIEW December 2005 1
