ABOUT BAECBAEC's mission is to empower Architecture, Engineering, and Construction financial leaders to be better equipped to guide their firms to greater value. The BAEC Summit will provide practical, focused information ideal for connection, communication, and collaboration between the AEC disciplines.

Several years ago, I was invited to the Portland Business Managers Association to present on tax credits for architecture. Attending were business managers, controllers, and CFOs of architecture firms from the greater Portland area. They had no website, or newsletter, or apps. But what they did have was a strong network of colleagues in the industry that collaborated without reservation. Monthly, they had a solid educational component to their meetings, combined with a listserv email they used often. They shared experiences on software, vendors, and best practices. In some cases, they actually shared employees.Over the next five to six years, in my conversations with financial leaders of architecture and engineering firms in every region of the country, I found this depth of collaboration to not only be rare but unheard of.

The collective conclusion in this discovery process: there is no organization whose mission is to support financial leaders of A&E firms. Further, there is no organization whose goal is to connect leaders from architecture, engineering, and construction. BRAYN’s AEC Summit is here to accomplish both.
