-You will be provided with the labels

You need to choose one person to be the body regions model (they will lay on the floor), Choose a different person to be the anatomicalpositions model (they will lay on the floor)

-For the first 10 minutes, work as a group to label as many body regions as you can remember without looking them up. Then check your answers and add regions you did not know.

-Now take 10 minutes, work as a group to label as many anatomical positions without looking. Then check your answers/add positions you did not know.

Follow the directions and complete the rest of the Activity.

-You will need to draw your own models for labeling.

Working in small groups you will use play-do to practice identifying the anatomical planes, directions, quadrants, and regions.

You will create play-do human figures, use a plastic knife to “dissect” or “cut” your figure into the various anatomical terms .

Label each description on a piece of paper.

Each person will then create and write down two questions related to these terms. Quiz each other on your questions.

You will turn your questions in to me as part of a grade for today’s activity.

Explain in a quality paragraph why it is important for health care professionals to be able to not only understand but also use the anatomical terms we have discussed today. Give a specific example of when or how and with what specific terms.
