All the articles discussing Russia's joining the WTO for the period from January 2008 to January 2010 were selected: 61 articles were selected from 50 sources in 15 countries and 163 articles from 85 Russian sources

Egocentric network map is a graph of information space between countries, which represents weighted average assessment of the countries three main issues:
Chances of Russia's joining the WTO;Prospects of Russia’s cooperation with Kazakhstan and Belarus (within the Customs Union);Opinions about the rationale of Russian’s joining the World Trade Organization.

Limitations and future works
All the procedures were conducted manually – the restriction on the sample’s size; Definite types of messages were used. Blogs, as unprofessional texts, may be interesting for constructing egocentric network map too. As they represent informal look at the problem, the interpretation of information events in them may differ significantly from official sources;The topic researched – for example, the image of Russia.
