I feel happy to work in this College of Nursing and
lead it, with the support of our Director, adminis-
trators and entire teaching and non-teaching fra-
ternity of this institution. College of Nursing is
only 6 years old, but its growth measured in terms of stu-
dents‟ academic achievements, the curriculum implementa-
tion, examination, evaluation etc. is very good.
Although short, the journey of the College of Nursing has
been very satisfying, if viewed against its explicit objective. It
was graded “A” by Government of NCT and this year also we
had excellent results. Ms. Tessy Chacko of our 2nd batch of
B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing i.e. 2009 batch received a gold medal
during the University convocation.
During the annual Sports Meet of the I.P. University, our stu-
dents brought laurel to our college. My sincere appreciation &
gratitude to the Sports Committee and the students.
The 2nd combined graduation ceremony was organized for
B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing and GNM batches of 2009 & 2010 re-
spectively. Dr. G. Josephine R. Little Flower, Nursing Advisor,
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India,
graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Hearty Congratula-
tions to all the graduates.
The journey ahead is very long and challenging. Though we
have set our goals, we need to benchmark ourselves on vari-
ous areas such as research in order to enable the college to
contribute its maximum towards quality nursing education &
for comprehensive health care services.
All the best for the forthcoming examinations. I wish
you all a very Happy Easter.
