You are a world explorer and your task is to explore the states of matter. Your first task will be to visit the website
enchantedlearning.com and review the four states of matter. Your second task is to print off the activity sheet. Your third task will be to complete the activity sheet. Your fourth task is to check your work using the answer key at the writing
table. Do not take your pencil. You will be checking your work with a green colored pencil already at the writing table.
Go to listening center and listen to the cassette as you read the book entitled, Bartholomew and the Obleck.
Go to the discovery center and make Obleck.

Each year my students come to me with gaps in their education because of moving in from another state, country, or just from within the county. Students’ prior knowledge will be different.
• This lesson is a good way to review the States of Matter by incorporating an interactive lesson into center time.
