In the name of AllahThe Beneficent, The Merciful……

As salaam alaikumDear Reader

I pray you and your family (at home and abroad), are safe, well, and in the best of health and spirit. Welcome to theOctober 2017 issue (No. 30) of the Star & Crescent E-zine.

Every year, on 7 October 2017, the Nation of Islamworldwide, celebrates the birthday of The Most HonourableElijah Muhammad who is 120 years of age. We thank Allahfor sending The Honourable Elijah Muhammad to us. Wethank Him for the Message to the Blackman designed toraise us up from our current spiritual and mental condition. The Black man must now unite and do something positivefor himself. The time is short and there is much work to do.

Each day we awaken, we must thank Allah, the Most HighGod for our life. We must always be grateful to Him, theGiver of Life, that He allows us to live, see and experienceanother day. We cannot take our life or our time on thisearth for granted.

Earlier this year, the Honourable Minister Louis Farrakhanwarned us all to watch the weather. Throughout August andSeptember 2017, the world witnessed and experienced aseries of devastating hurricanes, floods, forest fires andearthquakes resulting in the loss of life, injuries and thedisplacement of millions of people from their homes. Warsin various regions around the world continues. Worldgovernments and economies are less stable than everbefore.

The Black man’s failure to unite with one another andaddress problems that directly affect Black people willresult in the continuing loss of life in the Black community. Many people throughout the world already see Blackpeople as the root problem for all of society’s ills, eventhough Black people are not aggressors (only tothemselves). In us, Allah (God) has deposited the solution.

Only Black unity can end the strife facing the whole worldtoday. No-one said Black unity would be easy. Unity issomething that Black people have never tried. Unity is aprinciple that is bigger than all of us. It is something that wehave to do, or we will all suffer the consequences ofremaining divided for generations to come.

We can all make a start by simply joining an organisationthat is doing something positive for Black people in thecommunity. What are we waiting for?

The Man of the Century: The Honorable Elijah MuhammadThe   Nation   of   Islam   began   in   1930,   following   thecoming   of   Master   Fard   Muhammad   in   the   city   ofDetroit. The Nation of Islam is the most fascinating andprogressive   Black   institutions   in   America   and   theHonourable Elijah Muhammad is the most significantand misunderstood leader in the 20th century.

This article focuses on the life and works of the HonourableElijah Muhammad from 1950 to 1975. Elijah Muhammad(formerly  named Elijah  Poole)  was  born   in  Sandersville,Georgia in 1897. Master Fard Muhammad (Allah in Person)appointed him, Messenger of Allah,  in 1934. “We believethat Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W FardMuhammad on July 4, 1930, the long awaited Messiah ofthe Christians and the Mahdi” of the Muslims”, according topoint 12 of “What the Muslims Believe.” His mission was togive life to a mentally dead people, the socalled AmericanNegro.

The 1950s for the Honourable Elijah Muhammad came onthe heels of  the Great Depression of  the 30s and WorldWar   II  of   the 1940s.  The Honourable  Elijah Muhammadhad   faced  many   trials  and   hardships   in   the  early   days. From   1935   to   1942,   he   fled   the   cities   of   Chicago   andDetroit,   running up and down  the east  coast of  Americaevading two enemies. One enemy was the United Statesgovernment and the other, former Nation of Islam membersdisgruntled at his selection as Messenger of Allah. Theseformer  Nation  of   Islam members,  more  popularly   knownamongst the Muslims as “hypocrites” sought to take the lifeof the Honourable Elijah Muhammad, among them, one ofhis own blood brothers.

On 8 May 1942, the police arrested him in Washington DCon   a   false   charge   of   draft   evasion.   At   45   years   old,Muhammad exceeded the Armed Forces draft age of 44.

Master Fard Muhammad

He   served   5   years   in   the   Milan   Michigan   FederalPenitentiary.   Later,   he   served   another   11   months   forteaching his children.

During the 1950s, the Honourable Elijah Muhammad beganto reap the benefits of the seeds planted in prison and hisjourneys throughout the east coast. Muhammad’s Templesof   Islam   began   to   spring   up   in   Washington,   Baltimore,Philadelphia,   Boston,   Hartford,   New   York,   New   Jersey,Cleveland,  and San  Diego  to  name a   few.   In  1957,  hepublished an easy to read booklet, The Supreme Wisdom.

He   continued   to   write   his   column,   “Mr.   MuhammadSpeaks,” in the Pittsburgh Courier and Chicago Crusadernewspapers  while  on   the   road.  His   teachings  had  takenroot in the lives of his followers. The Messenger’s programfor selfdevelopment and his economic blueprint had comeinto fruition. The opening of a variety of small businessessuch   as   dry   cleaners,   clothing   shops,   barbershops, restaurants, and bakeries demonstrated the faith and workof the followers.

Prior to 1959, the masses of Blacks in America viewed theMuslims   as   strange   people   in   America.   They   dresseddifferently, lived clean lives, didn’t use tobacco or alcohol, and   didn’t   eat   pork.   That   image   changed   following   anaddress at the Uline Arena in Washington DC on 20 May1959. He returned to a city that the police arrested him 17years earlier.

The   city   provided   him   with   a   presidential   escort   downPennsylvania   Avenue   by   the   capital   police,   an   honournever   given   to   a   Black   man.   In   a   thunderous   andauthoritative voice, he delivered an electrifying speech to acapacity crowd of ten thousand Black men and women. Hechallenged  the manhood of Black  leadership  in America.“Don’t demand a job! Demand some earth!” he exclaimed.

Alarmed by the growing number of Blacks attending Muslimrallies  and conventions,   the Nation of   Islam became  thevictim   of   an   onslaught   of   attacks   launched   by   thegovernment and the mainstream media. Many in the whitemedia   began   to   label   Muhammad   and   his   followers   ashateteachers.   Leading   the   charge   was   journalist   MikeWallace, hosting the television special “The Hate That Hate

In December of  1959,  the Honourable Elijah Muhammadmade the pilgrimage to Mecca Arabia. Received with loveand   admiration   for   his   works,   Muhammad   travelledthroughout   the   Muslim   World,   visiting   Pakistan,   SaudiArabia, Sudan, and Egypt, where Egyptian President AbdelNasser offered to build the Messenger a palace, if he wouldmove to Egypt.

Abdel NasserFormer President of Egypt

It was in the country of Sudan where Muhammad receivedhis warmest reception. After speaking for only 15 minutesthrough   an   interpreter,   the   Sudanese   people   joyfilledfrenzy nearly crushed the 5 feet 7 inches and 135 poundsElijah to death, trying to shake his hand and hug him. Hedestroyed   the   lie   that   the   Muslims   in   the   East   do   not

recognise the Nation of Islam. “The common Muslim maynot recognize us, but the scholars and scientists of Islam,they recognise us,” Muhammad told Chicago journalist IrvKupcinet.

Returning   to   his   headquarters   in   Chicago   in   1960,   theNation  of   Islam  leader  published   the   first   edition  of   “MrMuhammad Speaks,”  a  weekly  newspaper.   In  1968,   theNation  of   Islam purchased  a  massive   fourstory,   60,000square foot building that served as the newspaper printingplant, cold storage, and tractortruck storage. In the sameyear,   the   Salaam   Restaurant   and   Your   Supermarketopened.

Muhammad University of Islam, Chicago

The influence of Muhammad could indirectly be seen andfelt outside the Nation of Islam as new Black radical andnationalist   groups   dissatisfied   with   the   progress   ofintegration began to form, advocating selfhelp and Blackpower. People from around the world found their way to thedoorsteps   of  Muhammad.   Visitors   from  China,  Pakistan,Saudi Arabia, and the continent of African came to see forthemselves   the  miracles  being   formed  by   the  man   fromSandersville, Georgia with a third grade education. The FBIin a document dated 7 January 1969, concluded that theNation   of   Islam   was   the   personal   fielder   of   ElijahMuhammad and  that   they  should  wait  until  he  dies  andthen infiltrate the Nation and change the philosophy.

Sister Christine X JohnsonDirector of the University of Islam

The world would witness the Nation of Islam reach it’s apexof glory and success during the 1970s. During this time, theHonourable   Elijah   Muhammad   entered   into   international

trade with the government of Peru. Up to 3 million poundsof fish per month were imported and stored in the Nation’sstorage facilities. It was the Messenger’s plan and desire tofeed the masses good food at economical prices.

The  Honourable  Elijah  Muhammad’s   love   for  his  peopleextended beyond his followers and he demonstrated this inhis  hiring practices.  Many nonMuslims managed Muslimventures   and   businesses.   One   such   venture   was   theGuaranty Bank & Trust Co acquired in 1973 and managedby Oscar Williams. John Woodward became EditorinChiefof Muhammad Speaks Newspaper, and Christine Johnsonbecame  the principal  of   the University of   Islam. He alsoprovided   financial   support   to   numerous   Black   politicalcandidates he felt  had the Black community’s   interest  atheart.

Muammar QaddafiFormer leader of Libya

His   love   and   friendship   with   President   Naseer   of   Egyptconvinced   Libyan   leader   Muammar   Qaddafi   to   loan   theHonourable   Elijah   Muhammad   three   million   dollars   topurchase a mosque on Chicago’s Southside at 7351 SouthStoney   Island   Avenue.   Governors   and   Mayors   of   majorcities throughout the United States began to pay homage tothe Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Most notable, here in theCity of Chicago, Mayor Richard J Daley’s proclamation of1974   declaring   20th   March,   the   Honourable   ElijahMuhammad Day.

During his last sermon, the Honourable Elijah Muhammadurged his followers to respect those who respected them.He also stated that if we qualified ourselves and attemptedto do something for ourselves, the world would respect theBlack community. Stating that the white man was no longerhindering us as a people, he urged the Black Nation to “GetUp and Go to Work!”

At the time of his departure on 25 February 1975, the newsreports   stated,   the   empire   amassed   by   the   HonourableElijah Muhammad estimated at  $80 million dollars.  Whilethe  monetary  value  of   the  Messenger   is  significant,   it   ismore important to place him in the proper context in whichhe operated.  The commission by  Allah  (God)   to   raise  amentally dead people and bring them into the knowledge ofthemselves, God, and others was the prime directive. The

Minister Louis Farrakhan

The divine destruction ofAmerica: Can she avert it?

[Editor's   Note:   The   following   text   is   excerpted   from   aspeech delivered  by   the  Honourable  Louis  Farrakhan,  9June 1996 at Mosque Maryam in Chicago.]

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.

I have chosen as a subject today, “The Divine Destructionof  America:  Can  She  Avert   It?”  America   is   the  greatestnation on earth and the greatest nation  in the  last 6,000years.  But America and her  people,  which  includes you, face divine destruction. The question is, ‘Can she avert it?’

In the Holy Qur'an, the 7th Surah, or chapter, in the 34thverse, it reads, “And every nation has a term so when itsterm comes, they cannot remain behind the least while, norcan   they   precede   it.”   If   every   nation   has   a   term,   doesAmerica have a term? If so, what is the term? A term is atime or period to which something lasts. It   is a period oftime   to   which   limits   have   been   set,   conditions   orstipulations limiting what is proposed to be granted or done. If every nation has a time to which some limits have beenset, what time is it for America and what limits have beenset for her?

In   the   book   of   Revelations,   the   13th   chapter,   the   18thverse,   it   reads,   “Here   is   wisdom.   Let   him   that   hathunderstanding count [or calculate] the number of the beast,for it is a number of a man, and his number is six hundredthreescore and six.” Some translations say it is the numberof a man, 666. The word calculate is trying to teach us thatwe must ascertain the beast and the man by mathematicalmethods.

The Honourable Elijah Muhammad is a principal helper inthis calculation. Most of us,  as Black people  in America, have  not  understood   the  Honourable  Elijah  Muhammad, nor  have we understood his   value   to  us   to  get   throughwhat's   about   to   come   down   on   America.   Either   ElijahMuhammad is a man from God or he is  not. If he is not,then you can dismiss me and what I have to say. But I don't

think you can dismiss me and  if  you cannot dismiss  thestudent, then you certainly cannot dismiss the teacher.

If white folk created or made a world that is unjust — lies, murder and stealing are at the root of this world — then thisworld can have no permanence in God's universe of truth. So  there  would   come a   time when  this  world  would  bejudged and destroyed. The Bible and Holy Qur'an say thisworld was doomed for destruction from its inception.

Both the Bible and the Holy Qur'an speak of judgment andthe hour and the day — the Day of Judgment and the Hourof Doom. In the hour you have 60 minutes. In the minuteyou have 60 seconds. So the man whose hour has come isthe man of  six.  The scriptures say no man knoweth thehour but the Father.

That means the hour of total destruction. This book (Bible)takes   you   right   up   through   the   judgment.   This   book(Qur'an) takes you right up through the judgment, but forthe guidance of the Hereafter, where there is no term limitset,   there   must   be   an   everlasting   gospel   that   will   bepreached on the other side of the destruction of this world.So a new book is coming.

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an that He is the Master of theDay of Judgment. Why should there even be a judgment?When you get a judgment it means a judge has rendered adecision.   Judgment   (according   to   the   dictionary)   is   theability   to   judge,   to  make   a  decision   or   form   an  opinionobjectively, authoritatively and wisely, especially in mattersaffecting   action,   good   sense,   discretion,   misfortuneregarded as afflicted by divine sentence is also a judgment, also the last judgment, the final trial of all mankind, both theliving and the dead, at the end of the world.

When   we're   talking   about   judgment,   in   this   case   we'retalking   about   God   forming   a   decision   that   comes   downagainst America and against this world. God has sent downHis   decision.   His   intention   is   the   total   destruction   ofAmerica.  The question  is,   is  America good and by whatstandard?   If   America   has   exceeded   the   limits,   thensomebody has to make God's decision known. Publish thedecision. There is no appeal, but there is a way to get outfrom it. It's very narrow, it's very limited, but you can avoidit.

Forest fires along the Florida/Georgia state border May 2017

What   is   your   position,   Black   man,   in   this   judgment?Whether you know it or not, you are the reason why God isjudging America. Even as it  was in ancient Egypt, it  wasPharaoh's   mistreatment   of   the   Children   of   Israel   thatcaused God's  appearance and His   judgment.   It  was  theHebrews in Babylon, their presence and their mistreatmentthat   caused   God's   judgment   of   Babylon.   It   is   yourmistreatment at the hands of white people that has causedGod to send down His judgment on America.

The  Book  of  Revelation   talks  about  a  mystery  Babylon. There  was  an  ancient  Babylon   that  we know about,  butJohn the Revelator was talking about a mystery Babylon.According to the English interpretation, the word mysterymeans unknown, uncertain, obscure, concealed, a secret, something   locked   up,   something   that   has   not   been   orcannot be explained. In theology, it is a supposed truth orfact of great religious importance which is beyond humancomprehension. In order to understand the mysterious one,we have to know something about the known in Babylon.

In ancient times Babylon, under the kings Nebuchadnezzarand Belshazzar, was a great city of idol worship and evil.She was the queen of evil, rich and well fortified. MysteryBabylon refers to a future city or a future people. No city or

people answers the description of a mystery Babylon betterthan the cities and the people of America.

King Nebuchadnezzar

How is God going to destroy America? What instrument isHe going to use? Whenever God gets ready to destroy anypeople He sends that people a warner, and the warner isalways   raised   from   among   the   oppressed.   That's   God'spattern. If America is going down, and she is, who are theoppressed? It's either the Native American or you (Blacks).

You   have   suffered   worse   than   the   Native   Americanbecause the Native American can still speak some of hislanguage, he knows something of his history. But you havebeen totally destroyed. And that's why God is angry withAmerica. You may forgive her but I  don't know that Godever will. She is going to have to do something real big toget  out   from under  what's  coming.   I   intend to  make thisknown very clearly to America.

Look  at   the  warner   that  comes  to  Babylon.  He  tells  hispeople   to   come   out   of   her   (Babylon)   that   they   be   notpartakers of her sins and of her plagues, for her sins havereached unto heaven. He's saying don't integrate with her.Come out of her way of thinking. Come out of her name.Come out of her false worship and come into a righteouscode of conduct that will allow you and me to escape whatGod has purposed for her. Now the question is have youheard the warner?

Nuclear missiles

The   Honourable   Elijah   Muhammad   said   America   is   apreserved area. No foreign nation will destroy America lestthey get the credit. God will do it Himself. He said Americais  number  one on  God's   list   to  be  destroyed.  He  talkedabout the 4 beasts: America, England, Germany and Italy.These   are   4   white   nations   that   have   acted   with   greatwickedness against the darker people of the world. He says

the  more  you   fight  against  Elijah,   the  more  God makesperfect through me. Elijah Muhammad said, we will makethe truth so plain that a fool will find it hard to err.

He said  that he wants every no good disbeliever off   theface of the earth. He said after this, America will never riseto  be  an   independent  nation  again.  She won't  have   thepower that she had last year, meaning that every year fromthen her power would be diminished. He said America isgone, her money is gone. There is no more silver, no moregold, after a while she may ask for copper. Right now themoney has no value.

Decline of the dollar

This (dollar) used to be a silver certificate that said pay thebearer on demand one dollar in silver. You can't get silverfor it anymore, you can't get gold for it, it is the wealth of thecountry   (gross   national   product)   that   is   holding   up   thedollar.  Elijah  Muhammad said   soon  you will   see  moneypiled   and   burning   in   the   streets.   There   will   be   anothermedium of exchange not coming from this country.

He   said   America   will   continue   to   fight.   He   mentionedVietnam and other areas of Asia. But the last fight, he said,will be in East Germany, and there she (America) will bedestroyed.  You  think  East  Germany and West  Germanyhave united. They broke the wall  down, but they are notunited.   East   Germany   has   been   40   years   under   thecommunists and West Germany has been under Americanand Western democracy.

These are like apples and oranges, and it is very difficult toproduce   the   integration.   When   the   power   of   the   SovietUnion was broken,  many of  you that  were  in   the armedforces in Europe were called back to America. You don'thave jobs, but soon they are going to ask you to go back toEurope. The Messenger said that you would go away in thethousands and you will return in the tens. And when youreturn,   there   will   be   no   such   thing   as   an   Americangovernment.

He said that all of America's possessions will be taken oneby one, and all of her fortifications will be destroyed. Hergreat armies poured into Asia and Europe will not return.He   said   France   will   emerge,   that   France   won't   be   withEngland and America. He said that England is going to trickAmerica into war. He said White America will be destroyedmercilessly, that not even her own (white) brother or sisterwill show mercy on her. He said, it's not 40 years away, it's

not 40 months away. He said preparation is being made totake her right now.

Snow storms

The war is building and the 4 great judgments that God isgoing to use are rain, hail, snow and earthquakes. If youlook at  the weather, you already know that something  isgoing on. When it rains, it's unusual rain that comes downin   torrents.   It   is   interfering   with   the   foundation   of   thehouses, tearing up the streets and the roads, upsetting therailroad tracks.

Tsunami

The  final   thing  is   the destruction.  The Honourable ElijahMuhammad told us of a giant Mother Plane that is madelike the universe, spheres within spheres. White people callthem unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Ezekiel, in the OldTestament, saw a wheel that  looked like a cloud by day, but   a   pillar   of   fire   by   night.   The   Honourable   ElijahMuhammad said that that wheel was built on the island ofNippon, which is now called Japan, by some of the originalscientists. It took $15 billion dollars in gold at that time tobuild it.

It is made of the toughest steel. America does not yet knowthe composition of the steel used to make an instrumentlike it. It is a circular plane, and the Bible says that it nevermakes turns. Because of its circular nature it can stop andtravel in all directions at speeds of thousands of miles perhour. He said there are 1,500 small wheels in this MotherWheel,   which   is   a   half   mile   byahalfmile.   This   MotherWheel is like a small human built planet. Each one of thesesmall planes carry three bombs.

The Honourable Elijah Muhammad said these planes wereused to set up mountains on the earth. The Qur'an says itlike   this.  We have  raised  mountains on   the earth   lest   itconvulse with you. How do you raise a mountain, and whatis   the   purpose   of   a   mountain?   Have   you   ever   tried   tobalance a tyre? You use weights to keep the tyre balanced.That's how the earth is balanced, with mountain ranges.

The  Honourable  Elijah  Muhammad said   that  we  have  atype of bomb that, when it strikes the earth a drill on it istimed to go into the earth and explode at the height thatyou   wish   the   mountain   to   be.   If   you   wish   to   take   themountain up a mile, you time the drill to go a mile in andthen explode. The bombs these planes have are timed togo one mile down and bring up a mountain one mile high,but it will destroy everything within a 50 square mile radius.The white man writes in his above top secret memos aboutthe UFOs. He sees them around his military  installationslike they are spying.

Earthquakes in Mexico

That Mother Wheel is a dreadful looking thing. White folksare  making  movies  now  to  make  these planes   look   likefiction, but it is based on something real. The HonourableElijah   Muhammad   said   that   the   Mother   Plane   is   sopowerful, that with sound reverberating in the atmosphere,just with a sound, she can crumble buildings. And the finalact of destruction will be that Allah will make a wall out ofthe atmosphere over and around North America. You willsee it, but you won't be able to penetrate it. He said Allah(God) will cut a shortage in gravity and a fire will start from13layers   up   and   burn   down,   burning   the   atmosphere.When it gets to the earth, it will burn everything. It will burnfor 310 years and take 690 years to cool off.

The Book of Revelation says, And the Kings of the earthwho have committed fornication with her, shall  lament forher when they shall see the smoke of her burning. This fireis   for   us.   It's   prepared   from   men   and   stones.   Stonesrepresent the hardhearted people of this wicked world andfor men who refuse to change and come to God.

You are in the valley of decision. What are you going todo? Are you going to clean up your lives? I'm not askingyou if you want to join me. You can if you want to. But ifyou are  in   the church,  you better  make the church rightbecause Judgment is going to begin at the socalled houseof God. Wherever you are, you are going to have to clean itup. Whatever we are doing that we know is wrong, we muststraighten it out. But if you don't it's on you.

I   hope   and   pray   that   I   have   made   the   message   clear.Thank you fore reading these few words.As Salaam Alaikum.

Message to the Blackman

Protect and elevate your woman

Allah, Himself has said that we cannot return to our landuntil we have a thorough knowledge of our own selves. Thefirst step is the control and the protection of our ownwoman. There is no nation on earth that has less respectfor and as little control of their woman as we so-calledNegroes here in America. Even animals and beasts, thefowls of the air, have more love and respect for theirfemales than have the so-called Negroes of America.

Our women are allowed to walk or ride the streets all nightlong, with any strange men they desire. They are allowedto frequent the any tavern or dance hall they like, wheneverthey like. They are allowed to fill our homes with childrenother than our own.Children that are often fathered by thevery devil himself. Then, when the devil decides to marryher, the so-called press and Negro magazines will make itfront page news. The daily press will not print a so-calledNegro man marrying into their race, but you seem to think itis an honour to your own nation when your daughter goesover to your enemies, the devils.

Our women have been and are still being used by the devilwhite race, ever since we were first brought here to theseStates as slaves. They cannot go without being winked at,whistled at, yelled at, slapped, patted, kicked and drivenaround in the streets by your devil enemies right under yournose. Yet you do nothing about it, nor do you even protest.

You cannot control or protect your women as long as youare in the white race’s false religion called Christianity. Thisreligion of theirs gives you no desire or power to resistthem. The only way and place to solve this problem is inthe Religion of Islam.

It is a pleasure to Allah to defend us from our enemies. Inthe religion of Christianity the white race has had usworshipping and praying to something that actually did noteven exist. Islam will not only elevate your women but willalso give you the power to control and protect them. Weprotect ours against all their enemies.

We protect our farms by pulling up our weeds and grass bythe roots, by killing animals and birds, and by poisoninginsects that destroy our crops in order that we may produce

a good crop. How much more valuable are our women, who are our fields through whom we produce our nation.

The white race does not want us to destroy their race byinter-marrying with them. They will even kill you to protecttheir women. Can you blame them? No, blame your foolishself for not having enough respect for your own self andyour own nation to do likewise. Stop our women from tryingto look like them. By bleaching, powdering, ironing andcolouring their hair; painting their lips, cheeks, eyebrows;wearing shorts; going half-nude in public places; goingswimming with them and lying on beaches with men.

Have private pools for your women and guard them from allmen. Stop them from going into bars and taverns andsitting with men and strangers. Stop them sitting in thoseplaces with anyone. Stop them from using uncleanlanguage in public (and at home), from smoking and drugaddiction habits.

Nothing but Islam will make you a respectable people. WeMuslims are your example, living here in your midst. Thereis no delinquency in Islam. Are you with us to put ourpeople on top of the world?

The so-called Negromust do something

for himselfIn unity, we can accomplish much. Think of the 20 million ofyour and my kind putting one dollar a year aside forourselves in a national treasury toward the day of want.Look at the millions that we could build up for ourselveswithin a few years. Suppose all of you who are wealthywould spend your wealth to build up a better and moreeconomic system among your own people. It would domuch to aid our people. Do not put your wealth in thetaverns and gambling houses and on race horses andother sports. Then, you would not be so easy to push overwhen the day of want arrive.

There is no need for us, millions through the country, spending our money for the joy and happiness of others. Asa result, as soon as they throw us out of a job we are backat their doors begging for bread and soup. How manyclothing shops do we operate in the country? Very few! Yet,all of us wear clothes. Who made our clothes for us? Whosold them to us? We have thousands of grocery stores, butwhat about our naked bodies? Should we not have morestores to sell our people clothes? Should we not sell ourpeople everything they want or need?

But no, we give all the money out of our pockets to theslave-master. We are satisfied in doing so. There aremillions of us. We do not have enough factories to weaveclothes for our people here in America. Think over that.Where is our shoe factory? Where are our cattle that weare skinning to make shoes for our people? These aresmall things, but we want equality with a nation that isdoing these things.

We boast that we should be recognised as equals. Let usmake ourselves equals. We cannot be equal with themaster until we own what the master owns. We cannot beequal with the master until we have the freedom the masterenjoys. We cannot be equal with the master until we have

the education the master has. Then we can say “Master, recognise us as your equal.”

Today, you are begging the master, the slave-masters’children for what? You are begging them for a job. You arebegging for complete recognition as their equals. Let us behonest with ourselves. According to history, we cannot findwhere the master made his slave his equal until the slavemade himself worthy of equality.

I am with you to go on top. We cannot go on top withweight that is hanging on us. We cannot charge the whiteman with all our faults. We are supposed to be, accordingto his own teachings, free. We are supposed to be,according to his own teachings, free. We are supposed tohave been freed from him approximately 100 years ago.Have we exercised that freedom? We must answer that wehave not availed ourselves of that freedom which he sayshe gave us, why should we think hard of him about the wayhe treats us? This may be a little hard to swallow.

Our fathers, in the days they were set free by the slave-master, had no knowledge of how to go for self. Today, youare educated. You claim that you have equal education. Then why don’t you take a walk? Before we can be justifiedin accusing the other man, let us examine ourselves first. Ido not say that our fathers are the ones to blame for theirignorance, and neither are you. Neither they nor you are atfault. The root of the cause can be placed back into thelaps of the slave-masters.

When the slave-masters say we are free and continue tosay that we are free, should we not take a free step? Wecharge the slave-masters’ children with mistreating us.Suppose you tell a man that he is free. “Get out of ourhouse and go into your own house.” but the freed slavesays, “No, no, I’ll work for you. I’ll serve you as a servant ifyou allow me to remain in your house.” The man of thehouse tells you, “I will not give you a new suit this year. I’llnot pay you today for any work. Go home and sit down.”Why should you say that man is not treating you right? Whysay to that man, “I have to have a job the same as you.”Has he offered the door to you?

If the slave-master did not mean that you and I were free,we should have them admit it. You remain as a free slaveto your slave-master. You demand that he recognise you ashis equal. You are making yourself look small in the eyes ofthe world. If every so-called Negro were fired, what wouldyou do? Would you unite and go to Washington anddemand that the government give you a job? You would befoolish enough to do that! If they beat you by thethousands, what right have you to say that he should notlash you? You have made yourself his slave.

You continue to preach a doctrine of remaining with theslave-master. You are still called by your slave-masters’names. By rights, by international rights, you belong to thewhite man of America. He knows that. You have nevergotten out of the shackles of slavery. You are still in them. You are still in authority over your wife as long as she goesin your name, regardless of her separating herself fromyou. If she has not gotten a legal divorce and freed herselffrom your name, you are still in authority over her by law.Likewise, you are still under authority of the chains of yourslave-masters. You have not tried to free yourself fromthem. You have not exercised the freedom that they claimto have given you.

Today is the day of decision. We have lived here more than400 years. That, you know according to prophecy, is theprediction of our staying among the people. That time hasexpired. The time is up. The decision is being made foryour departure and mine. It is most important to GodAlmighty, Whose proper name is Allah, that I speak to youaccording to the time that we are living in now. Today, youare standing facing face to face with the alternative ofaccepting your ownor forever being erased from the earthas a people.

No one is trying to make you see this importance but yourown. Why do you not see? You are blindly looking towardthe slave-master to tell you this. How can the master tellthe slave, “Look, slave, your day has arrived. You should sitin the seat of authority.” We cannot beg for jobs anymore. We cannot build a future on a job that was given to us bythe slave-master 400 years ago. The day has arrived. Hehas no more work for us to do.

He is not willing to tell us that. The time has arrived whendeep within his own heart he desires that you go out andfind a job for yourself. He will forever be burdened. Theburden will get greater and greater as long as he tries tocarry you and me. It is time for a separation of the two –Black and white. Allah, God, is calling for a separation!

Report Links Fibroids, RespiratoryIllnesses To Toxic Chemicals In

Many Black Hair Products

By Charing Ball

Not   feeling  well?  Well,   according   to  a   recently   releasedreport, it might be some of the chemicals in your hair careproducts that are making you sick.

The 60page report entitled Natural Evolutions: One HairStory was released by Black Women for Wellness (BWW),a   Los   Angeles   based   advocacy   and   research   groupdedicated to the health and wellbeing of Black women.

You can read the report in its entirety at: http://clutchmagonline.com/2016/03/newreportlinksfibroidsrespiratoryillnessestoxicchemicalsblackhairproducts/

But to summarize,  it  is the result of 5 years of research,which   included   “literature   reviews,   focus   groups,   datacollection   and   interviews   with   Black   American   beautyprofessionals   to   determine   chemical   exposure   andcorrelating health status, of hair care products directed atBlack women.”

And as noted in the report’s introduction, “Each year, Blackwomen spend about $9 billion dollars on beauty productsalone, twice as much as any other ethnic group. By 2017,the  Black  hair  care   industry   is  estimated   to   reach  $500billion, taking into the account the changing nature of themarket and the increase in online sales. However, many of

the products marketed to and used by Black women arerarely   researched   for   toxic   health   consequences.   In   therare cases that they are, Black hair products are found tobe some of the most toxic beauty products on the market.”

While   the   report  did  not   focus  on  any  specific  products, researchers   did   provide   a   list   of   ingredients   includingfragrance,   DMDM   hydantoin   (an   antimicrobialformaldehyde   releaser   preservative),   linaloolmethylparaben   and   propylparaben,   which   were   found   inover   50   products   used   or   recommended   by   hair   carestylists. Moreover, “Several of these compounds have beenfound to disrupt the endocrine system, among other healtheffects.   DMDM   hydantoin   has   been   found   to   be   a   skintoxicant and allergen, as well as a formaldehydereleasingagent.”

Female endocrine system

Chief   among   the   health   concerns   associated   with   thechemicals used in many of our hair care products is uterinefibroids.   And,   according   to   the   report,   a   recent   studypublished in the American Journal of Epidemiology hasfound   a   link   between   the   use   of   hair   relaxers   and   thecondition that is estimated to affect 80% of Black womenover   their   lifetime.   The   report   also   highlights   otherreproductive   developmental   issues   associated   withchemicals in our hair care products, including infertility andspontaneous miscarriages.

And as the report notes, “Girls who reported using chemicalhair   oils   and   hair   perms   were   1.4   times   more   likely   toexperience early puberty after adjusting for race, ethnicity, and  year  of   birth.   In  addition,  other   studies  have   linkedearly puberty to hair detangler use by Black girls. In one ofthe studies Black American girls as young as 2 years oldstarted   showing   signs   of   puberty   after   using   productscontaining animal placenta found in many detanglers andconditioners.”

Page 17: THE STAR & CRESCENT...Elijah Muhammad from 1950 to 1975. Elijah Muhammad (formerly named Elijah Poole) was born in Sandersville, Georgia in 1897. Master Fard Muhammad (Allah in Person)

In addition to reproductive concerns, the report also linksformaldehyde,   ammonia,   and   bleaching   agents   –   allchemicals   that   are   commonly   found   in   our   hair   careproducts – to respiratory disorders.

More   specifically,   “A   study   conducted   in   2007   with   344women  in  Nigeria   found  that   respiratory  symptoms weremore   common   among   hairdressers   as   compared   to   thecommunity   at   large.   Frequent   sneezing,   coughing,   andchest tightness were found in the hair stylists. In addition, the   mean   pulmonary   function   test   (FEV1,   FVC,   andFEV1/FVC) was lower  in hairdressers, with no relation toduration of employment in the industry. In short, a beautyprofessional’s   ability   to   breathe   deeply   is   compromisedonce entering the profession.”

According to the report, Black hair care professionals (whoare exposed to higher levels of chemicals than the generalpublic), are most at risk of developing health problems. Aspart of its research, BWW interviewed Los Angeles basedhair professionals between 2011 and 2014 and found that:

• 65%   of   them   use   permanent   straighteners   orlye/nolye relaxers;

• 63% used permanent waves and texturizers; and

• 60%   used   hair   dyes,   all   of   which   containchemicals that have been linked to carcinogenicmaterials, respiratory problems and allergies andreproductive issues.

In  fact,  as  the study notes, “Of  the stylists we talked to,over 100 health issues were reported. The most commonhealth   issues   were   headaches,   dizziness,   and   chemical

burns. About 9% of the women stylists surveyed had healthissues directly related to reproductive health.”

As far as solutions, the report said that more education andawareness, as well  as easytoread labels, would help to“mitigate risk factors.”

The   report   also   called   for   more   federal   oversight.   Morespecifically,  “Creating   and   enforcing   policies   andregulations   that   use   the   precautionary   principle   whenevaluating   chemical   safety,   is   an   important   step   inmitigating the risk of toxic exposure to the public as well aswith   workers.   In   addition,   a   system   is   needed   that   canregulate  and remove chemicals   from personal  care,  hairand cleaning products that have a proven health risk in atimely and effective manner.

Having policies looking at labeling products of concern aswell as maintaining an awareness of the need for strongerregulations on labeling and testing of products would allowconsumers   to   make   more   informed   choices   about   theproducts they wish to buy.”

And yet, the only environmentally just issues anyone wantsto talk about are polar bears floating on ice caps.

10 INGREDIENTS TO AVOIDPUTTING ON YOUR HAIR!

Most of the commercially available hair care productstoday   use   harmful,   potentially   carcinogenicingredients.  In the interest of good napptural health, I listbelow,  what  are   in  my opinion,   the  10 worst  commonlyfound product ingredients thngs you can put on your hair(and   body).   Check   the   list   of   ingredients   on   your   hairproducts. The more of a particular ingredient you have in aproduct, the closer it is to the top of the list of ingredientson the bottle:

1.   ISOPROPYL   ALCOHOL:  This   is   a   solvent   anddenaturant   (poisonous   substance   that   changes   anothersubstances natural qualities). Isopropyl alcohol is found inhair   colour   rinses,   body   rubs,   hand   lotions,   aftershavelotions,   fragrances   and   many   other   cosmetics.   Thispetroleumderived   substance   is   also   used   in   antifreezeand   as   a   solvent   in   shellac.   Napptural   hair   reacts   verybadly to isoalcohol and this ingredient should be avoidedat ALL costs.  It will dry your hair out and break it off.According   to   A   Consumer’s   Dictionary   of   CosmeticIngredients,   inhalation   or   ingestion   of   the   vapour   maycause headaches, flushing, dizziness, mental depression, nausea, vomiting, narcosis and even coma.

2. MINERAL OIL & PETROLATUM:  The best baby oil ismade from almonds. But the oil which being sold as babyoil is 100% mineral oil. Mineral oil is a derivative of crudeoil  (petroleum) that   is  used  industrially  as a cutting fluidand   lubricating   oil.   This   commonly   used   petroleumingredient coats the skin and hair just like plastic wrap. The skin’s natural barrier is disrupted as this plastic coatinginhibits   its   ability   to   breathe   and   absorb   the   NaturalMoisture Factor (moisture and nutrition).

The skin’s ability to release toxins and wastes is impossiblethrough this “plastic wrap,”  which can promote acne andother   disorders.   It   further   hinders   normal   skinrespiration/transpiration   by   keeping   oxygen   out.   Thisprocess   slows   down   skin   function   and   normal   cell

development causing the skin to prematurely age. Holdingin  large a mounts of moisture in  the skin can “flood”  thebiology and may result   in   immature, unhealthy,  sensitiveskin that dries out easily.

Petrolatum     A   petroleumbased   grease   that   is   usedindustrially   as   a   grease   component.   Petrolatum   exhibitsmany of the same potentially harmful properties as mineraloil. Honestly, this stuff belongs in your engine, not on yourhair. Regardless of “Well, my Grandma used vaseline onher hair and it grew,” the bottom line is this stuff is bad. Itwas bad for Grandma and it is bad for you. Period.

Polyethylene glycol

3. PEG: This is an abbreviation for polyethylene glycol thatis used in making cleansers to dissolve oil and grease aswell  as  thicken products.  Because of   their  effectiveness,PEG’s are often used  in caustic spray on oven cleanersand yet are found in many personal care products. PEG’scontribute to stripping the Natural Moisture Factor, leavingthe  immune system vulnerable.  They are also potentiallycarcinogenic.

Propylene glycol  Antifreeze

4.   PROPYLENE   GLYCOL   (PG):  As   a   “surfactant”   orwetting agent and solvent, this ingredient is actually theactive component in antifreeze.  There is no difference

between   the   PG   used   in   industry   and   the   PG   used   inpersonal care products. It is used in industry to break downprotein and cellular structure (what the skin is made of) yetis found in most forms of makeup, hair products, lotions,aftershave, deodorants, mouthwashes and toothpaste.

It is also used in food processing. Because of its ability toquickly  penetrate   the  skin,   the  EPA  requires  workers   towear protective gloves, clothing and goggles when workingwith this toxic substance. The Material Safety Data Sheetswarn   against   skin   contact,   as   PG   has   systemicconsequences   such   as   brain,   liver   and   kidneyabnormalities. Consumers are not protected nor is therea warning label on products such as stick deodorants, where the concentration is  greater  than that   in mostindustrial applications.

5.   SODIUM   LAURYL   SUFATE   (SLS)   &   SODIUMLAURETH   SULFATE   (SLES):  SLS   is   used   in   testinglaboratories as the standard ingredient to irritate skin. Usedas   detergents   and   surfactants,   these   closely   relatedcompounds   are   found   in   car   wash   soaps,   garage   floorcleaners and engine degreasers. Yet both SLS and SLESare used more widely as one of the major  ingredients  incosmetics, toothpaste, hair conditioner and about 90% ofall shampoos and products that foam.

They are used in personalcare products because they arecheap. A small amount generates a large amount of foam, and when salt   is  added  it   thicken  to  give   the   illusion  ofbeing   thick   and   concentrated.   (SOME   OF   THENITROSATING   AGENTS   ARE:   SLS,   SLES,   DEA,   TEA,MEA). Shampooing the hair  with a product contaminatedwith these substances can lead to  its absorption into thebody at levels much higher than eating nitritecontaminatedfoods.

Mark Fearer in an article, ‘Dangerous Beauty,’ says, “…intests, animals that were exposed to SLS experienced eyedamage,   along   with   depression,   laboured   breathing, diarrhea, severe skin irritation and corrosion and death.”

According   to   the  American  College  of  Toxicology  statesboth SLS and SLES can cause malformation in children’seyes. Other research has indicated SLS may be damagingto   the   immune   system,   especially   within   the   skin.   Skinlayers   may   separate   and   inflame   due   to   its   proteindenaturing  properties.   It   is  possibly   the  most  dangerousingredient in personal care products. Research has shownthat   SLS   when   combined   with   other   chemicals   can   betransformed   into   nitrosamines,   a   potent   class   ofcarcinogens, which causes the body to absorb nitrates athigher levels than eating nitrate contaminated food.“

According to the American College of Toxicity report, "SLSstays in the body for up to 5 days…” Other studies haveindicated that SLS easily penetrates through the skin andenters and maintains residual levels in the heart, the liver,the   lungs   and   the   brain.   This   poses   serious   questionsregarding   its   potential   health   threat   through   its   use   inshampoos, cleansers and toothpaste.“

Studies show its danger potential to be great when used inpersonalcare products.  Toxicity   A serious problem withthese   chemicals   is   that   they   may  be   contaminated  withNDELA (Nnitrosodiethanolamine), one of the nitrosaminesand a potent carcinogen, according to a 1978 US Food andDrug Administration  report.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) SLES is the alcohol form(ethoxylated) of SLS. It is slightly less irritating than SLS,but may be more drying. Both SLS and SLES can enter theblood   stream.  They   may   cause   potentially   carcinogenicformations of nitrates and dioxins to form in shampoos andcleansers by reacting with other product ingredients. Largeamounts of nitrates may enter the blood system from justone shampooing. Contains ether.

6. CHLORINE: According to Doris J Rapp, MD, author of IsThis   your   Child’s   World?  exposure   to   chlorine   in   tapwater,   showers,   swimming   pools,   laundry   products, cleaning   agents,   food   processing,   sewage   systems   andmany others, can effect health by contributing to asthma, hay   fever,   anemia,   bronchitis,   circulatory   collapse, confusion, delirium diabetes, dizziness, irritation of the eye, mouth, nose throat, lung, skin and stomach, heart disease,

high blood pressure and nausea. It is also a possible causeof   cancer.   Even   though   you   will   not   see   Chlorine   onpersonal care product labels, it is important for you to beaware of the need to protect your skin when bathing andwashing your hair.

7.   DEA   (diethanolamine)   MEA   (momoethnanolamine)TEA (triethanolamine): DEA and MEA are usual listed onthe   ingredients   label   in   conjunction   with   the   compoundbeing neutralized. Thus look for names like Cocamide DEAor   MES,   Lauramide   DEA,   etc.   These   are hormonedisrupting   chemicals and   are   known   to   form   cancercausing nitrates and nitrosamines. . These are commonlyfound in most personal care products that foam, includingbubble baths, body washes, shampoos, soaps and facialcleansers.

On the show, CBS This Morning, Roberta Baskin revealedthat a recent government report shows DEA and MEA arereadily absorbed in the skin. Dr. Samuel Epstein, Professorof  Environmental  Health  at   the  University  of   Illinois  said"repeated   skin   applications   of   DEAbased   detergentsresulted in a major increase in the incidence of two cancers liver and kidney cancers.” John Bailey, who oversees thecosmetic   division   for   the   FDA   said   the   new   study   isespecial   important   since   “the   risk   equation   changessignificantly for children."

8.   FD   &   C   Colour   PIGMENTS:  Many   colour   pigmentscause skin sensitivity  and  irritation.  Absorption of  certaincolours   can  cause depletion  of  oxygen  in   the  body  andeven   death   according   to   A   Consumer’s   dictionary   ofCosmetic   Ingredients.   Debra   Lynn   Dadd   says   in   HomeSafe Home: "Colours that can be used in foods, drug, andcosmetics are made from coal tar.

Dr Samuel Epstein, Professor of Environmental Health

at the University of Illinois

There   is   a   great   deal   of   controversy   about   their   use, because animal studies have shown almost all of them tobe carcinogenic.”

Debra Lynn Dadd

9. FRAGRANCE: Fragrance is present in most deodorantsshampoos,   sunscreens,   skin   care,   body   care   and   babyproducts.   Many   of   the   compounds   in   fragrance   arecarcinogenic or otherwise toxic. “Fragrance on a label canindicate the presence of up to 4,000 separate ingredients.Most or all of them are synthetic. Symptoms reported to theUS   Food   and   Drug   Administration   (FDA)   have   includedheadaches,   dizziness,   rashes,   skin   discoloration,   violentcoughing and vomiting, and allergic skin irritation. Clinicalobservation by medical doctors have shown that exposureto   fragrances   can   affect   the   central   nervous   system, causing   depression,   hyperactivity,   irritability,   inability   tocope, and other behavioral changes,” (Home Safe Home).

For better health try purchasing unscented products and forfragrance, adding a natural essential oil.

10.   IMIDAZOLIDINYL   UREA   and   DMDM   HYDANTOIN:These are  just  2 of   the many preservatives  that   releaseformaldehyde  (formaldehydedonors).   According   to   theMayo   clinic,   formaldehyde   can   irritate   the   respiratorysystem, cause skin reactions and trigger heart palpitations.Exposure to formaldehyde may cause joint pain, allergies, depression,   headaches,   chest   pains,   ear   infections,Chronic   fatigue,  dizziness  and  loss  of  sleep.   It  can  alsoaggravate coughs and colds and trigger asthma. Seriousside effects include weakening of the immune system andcancer.   Nearly   all   brands   of   skin,   body   and   hair   care, antiperspirants   and   nail   polish   found   in   stores   containformaldehydereleasing ingredients.

3. We want equality of opportunity. We want equalmembership in society with the best in civilized society.

4. We want our people in America whose parents orgrandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowedto establish a separate state or territory of their own–eitheron this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our formerslave masters are obligated to provide such land and thatthe area must be fertile and minerally rich. We believe thatour former slave masters are obligated to maintain andsupply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to25 years – until we are able to produce and supply our ownneeds. Since we cannot get along with them in peace andequality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat andblood and receiving in return some of the worst treatmenthuman beings have ever experienced, we believe ourcontributions to this land and the suffering forced upon usby white America, justifies our demand for completeseparation in a state or territory of our own.

5. We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held infederal prisons. We want freedom for all Black men andwomen now under death sentence in innumerable prisonsin the North as well as the South. We want every Blackman and woman to have the freedom to accept or rejectbeing separated from the slave master’s children andestablish a land of their own. We know that the above planfor the solution of the Black and white conflict is the bestand only answer to the problem between two people.

6. We want an immediate end to the police brutality andmob attacks against the so-called Negro throughout theUnited States. We believe that the Federal governmentshould intercede to see that Black men and women tried inwhite courts receive justice in accordance with the laws ofthe land–or allow us to build a new nation for ourselves, dedicated to justice, freedom and liberty.

7. As long as we are not allowed to establish a state orterritory of our own, we demand not only equal justiceunder the laws of the United States, but equal employment

opportunities–NOW! We do not believe that after 400 yearsof free or nearly free labour, sweat and blood, which hashelped America become rich and powerful, so manythousands of Black people should have to subsist on reliefor charity or live in poor houses.

8. We want the government of the United States to exemptour people from ALL taxation as long as we are deprived ofequal justice under the laws of the land.

9. We want equal education–but separate schools up to 16for boys and 18 for girls on the condition that the girls besent to women’s colleges and universities. We want allBlack children educated, taught and trained by their ownteachers. Under such schooling system we believe we willmake a better nation of people. The United Statesgovernment should provide, free, all necessary text booksand equipment, schools and college buildings. The Muslimteachers shall be left free to teach and train their people inthe way of righteousness, decency and self respect.

10. We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should beprohibited. We want the religion of Islam taught withouthindrance or suppression.

Master W Fard Muhammad

What The Muslims Believe1. WE BELIEVE In the One God whose proper Name isAllah.

2. WE BELIEVE in the Holy Qur’an and in the Scriptures ofall the Prophets of God.

3. WE BELIEVE in the truth of the Bible, but we believethat it has been tampered with and must be reinterpretedso that mankind will not be snared by the falsehoods thathave been added to it.

4. WE BELIEVE in Allah’s Prophets and the Scriptures theybrought to the people.

5. WE BELIEVE in the the resurrection of the dead–not inphysical resurrection–but in mental resurrection. Webelieve that the so-called Negroes are most in need ofmental resurrection; therefore they will be resurrected first.Furthermore, we believe we are the people of God’schoice, as it has been written, that God would choose therejected and the despised. We can find no other personsfitting this description in these last days more that the so-

called Negroes in America. We believe in the resurrectionof the righteous.

6. WE BELIEVE in the judgment; we believe this firstjudgment will take place as God revealed, in America…

7. WE BELIEVE this is the time in history for the separationof the so-called Negroes and the so-called whiteAmericans. We believe the Black man should be freed inname as well as in fact. By this we mean that he should befreed from the names imposed upon him by his formerslave masters. Names which identified him as being theslave master’s slave. We believe that if we are free indeed,we should go in our own people’s names–the Black peopleof the Earth.

8. WE BELIEVE in justice for all, whether in God or not; webelieve as others, that we are due equal justice as humanbeings. We believe in equality–as a nation–of equals. Wedo not believe that we are equal with our slave masters inthe status of “freed slaves.” We recognize and respectAmerican citizens as independent peoples and we respecttheir laws which govern this nation.

9. WE BELIEVE that the offer of integration is hypocriticaland is made by those who are trying to deceive the Blackpeoples into believing that their 400-year-old open enemiesof freedom, justice and equality are, all of a sudden, their“friends.” Furthermore, we believe that such deception isintended to prevent Black people from realizing that thetime in history has arrived for the separation from thewhites of this nation. If the white people are truthful abouttheir professed friendship toward the so-called Negro, theycan prove it by dividing up America with their slaves. We donot believe that America will ever be able to furnish enoughjobs for her own millions of unemployed, in addition to jobsfor the 20,000,000 black people as well.

10. WE BELIEVE that we who declare ourselves to berighteous Muslims, should not participate in wars whichtake the lives of humans. We do not believe this nationshould force us to take part in such wars, for we havenothing to gain from it unless America agrees to give us thenecessary territory wherein we may have something to fightfor.

11. WE BELIEVE our women should be respected andprotected as the women of other nationalities are respectedand protected.

12. WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the Personof Master W Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited“Messiah” of the Christians and the “Mahdi” of the Muslims. We believe further and lastly that Allah is God and besidesHIM there is no god and He will bring about a universalgovernment of peace wherein we all can live in peacetogether.
