WHATPROBLEMARE WESOLVING?
The world is experiencingunprecedented global warming .
The stakes are high; managing the climatic disruption
that threatens our societies and our economies.
Our planet’s ecosystem is threatened. The natural
mechanisms that sustain the earth’s climate, and thus
all living species, are in disorder. The world is
experiencing unprecedented global warming .
WHY DO WE CARE?Due to the
greenhouseeffect, the average
temperature of the earthis 15 degrees rather
than -18 degreeswithout
the greenhouse effect.
15% of thecarbon released
in the environment is due to
deforestationand change
in use of land.
Classic examplesof climate changecan be seen by the
damages causes due toheavy rains and
disasters likeHurricane Katrina
in 2005.
The (IPCC) predicts
that by 2020,250m will be
exposed to waterstress due to
climate change.
The currentpace of
global averagetemperature rise puts
20-30% of plant andanimal species atincreased risk of
extinction.
The 10warmest
years in the 134-yearrecord have occurredsince 2000, The year
2015 ranks as thewarmest
on record.

I AMCLIMATECHAMPION
The world is experiencingunprecedented global warming .
The proposed project is an unprecedented and
uniquely designed project for not only raising
awareness in the future generation of Pakistan but also
training the youth on how they can make practical
contributions and take action for combating global
warming, climate change and the release of harmful
gases in the atmosphere.
The youth of Pakistan will be trained for Taking Action
for reducing the carbon in the atmosphere. This way
this project will be much more than just an awareness
raising programme but it will become an action based
strategy to stimulate the youth of Pakistan in becoming
Climate Champions.

MITIGATION
Mitigation is reducing
climate change and it
involves reducing the flow of
heat-trapping greenhouse
gases into the atmosphere,
either by reducing sources of
these gases
Adaptation – adapting to life
in a changing climate –
involves adjusting to actual
or expected future climate.
The goal is to reduce our
vulnerability to the harmful
effects of climate change.

There is a need that
everybody in the world must
become aware of the fact
that Planet Earth is our home
and we all have to take part
saving it by trying to reduce
the production and release
of harmful gases
We will launch our activities in Lahore and then expand to other cities in the country
