This Sunday we welcome our 2014 Confirmation Class. These 23
individuals have devoted this entire school year to prepare for
this day. They performed service projects together, went on two
retreats together, learned together, and had many other experiences
together in preparation to become full members of St. Paul. Today
is a monumental day for us. As the church, we eagerly welcome them
into the Body of Christ and celebrate their faith.
However, this doesn’t mean our confirmation class is or will be
perfect. We profess that we are going on towards perfection not
that we have obtained it already. Like us, they will grow and
mature in their faith. Therefore, they need you to continue what
God has begun in them. Together with God’s help, we cultivate our
faith in hopes of Christ being formed in us. Thanks be to God!
